They are really professional and work with insuarance companies really well.

They explained how to initial the contract, yes or no to the work that was proposed. I did all of that. We decided to just rebuild the chimney and not to do demolish the brick wall. So they put up a permit to do the work, and brought in an enormous bin that took up half the driveway. It sat there for daysbefore they started the work. When they did the chimney, they said that they thought we were going to have the brick work torn out and thats why the size of the bin, but we said no, we'd talked to everyone, and also signed the contracting NO. Well, they said, throw what you want in it because you're paying for it anyway. The actual work crew consisted of about 4 or 5 people. We asked them to call the salesperson and they said they did. They torn down the old chimney, saved the decent bricks for me as I'd asked. They finished the job, and it looked very nice. They wrapped it in plastic to protect it from rain as it dried, and then said that they would be back to do the loose bricks and to haul off the bin. They came back about 3 days later to take the plastic off the chimney, but they didn't fix the other bricks as promised. About a week later they came back for the bin. I haven't heard from them since. Their sign is still in my yard. I'm trying to reach them to talk. I don't think I would do this again. The chimney looks good, and they did put a permit up right away. The actual work on the chimney looks good. I hope it is. The rest is kind of a mess.

The folks from Sela have been very attentive to our needs. We actually contracted for our roof in the fall and decided to wait till warm weather in the Spring. Because of terrible weather in April, the actual job was delayed till May. In spite of the delays, Sela kept us up to date on the situation and gave us estimates of when the work would be done. The date was scheduled for 5/9/2013 and it was pouring rain. They contacted us to let us know there would be a delay till the next day. The work was done essentially in one day. The old roof removed and the new one was on in about 14 hours. The final check out was the next day during daylight so we could all see that the work was done correctly. Clean up was amazingly complete. And, even as we lived and worked in the driveway and yard we haven't found any remnants of the the roofing job. The sales personnel were not at all pushy and were well informed and helpful as we chose our shingles and made plans for the work to be done. They worked with our insurance company for us and made the process go as smoothly as possible. All in all, our experience with this company was an outstanding one. We'd use them again in a heartbeat.

In the past, Sela had replaced my roof. I was overall very satisfied so I called on them to replace my windows. I replaced every window in my home by Sela and am extremely happy with my experience- again. Their whole staff was kind, courteous, efficeint and professional. Not only was their staff exceptional, but I also got the best price in town after many bids. I definitely recommend Sela for any work you might need on your home. Their quality is outstanding!

Perfect. Supervisor came out the week prior to review everything with us and was there first thing on the start day. Crew was super hard working, did great work, courteous, and cleaned up everything when done.

Sela did a great job. They were by far the cheapest quote we got, and I got a lot of quotes. They were very fast about coming out to our house and doing the work and got the job done in one day. It was dark when they did clean up and missed some garbage but when I called they immediately sent over someone over to finish the clean up. Great company.

At times, it was a nightmare but, they bent over backwards trying to satisfy us. It seemed that their painters and carpenters didn't always agree on the best out come.

A group of workers arrived early, worked very fast on the tear off. Roof was complete and cleaned-up before end of day. I really appreciated the number of workers in getting the job done quickly. One of the neighbors had one person working on their roof which took about 3 days! The price was less than another estimate, but chose Sela based on company history.

Sela was very easy to work with and their bid was lower than the company recommended by our insurance company and another competitior. They were fast, efficient, and did a good job cleaning up after themselves. They took great care as well to not damage the landscape plants. They made the process pretty painless throughout. We would certainly use them again.

SUMMARY: Excellent quality of work. Extremely poor customer service and refused to respond to voicemails left requesting updates on scheduling work. A project that should have taken 6 -7 weeks ended up taking 11 weeks to complete. We chose Sela as a company to come out and give us a bid on roof, siding, gutter, and window replacement for our new home. We had some time constraints due to insurance requirements, so timing was important to us. Communication and price were key points as well. Ultimately, Sela provided the best offer to us to handle the roofing, siding, gutters, and to replace four windows. We signed the contract on September 4th, 2012. We had purchased the house about a week and a half prior, and would be moving in near the end of September. The price was the best we could find, though we thought that prices, on the whole, for the project seemed to be rather high. This could be a factor of the local market, however. At the time of the signing, they advised us that they preferred to have windows installed before the siding. I explained that our insurance company had required us to have new siding installed by October 31st, 2012, or we would lose our insurance. The same situation was present for our roof, but with a date of early October instead. They informed me that the windows would take six weeks to arrive. Doing some quick math, I realized that it would mean they would be pushing the deadline very close to the insurance-mandated due date if we waited on the windows. I asked them if they could guarantee the windows and siding would be finished by October 31st if we waited for the windows. They could not guarantee that, so work began on the two critical components of the house: the roof and the siding. I did not get a chance to speak directly with the roofers. We were in the process of moving into the house, and they completed the roofing work well before the deadline. My neighbors indicated to me that they were very professional and were hard workers who completed the job in a little over a day. I have not experienced any issues with the roof since then, and it looks excellent. The company that Sela contracted the siding work out to arrived the last week of September, which happened to start the day after we moved in. These individuals were very professional and prompt with their work. They were friendly and I couldn't recommend those contractors highly enough for the work they did. They cleaned up the site well and made sure we were well-informed. However, as this was a contracted company, while I can give Sela marks for selecting them, I cannot attribute their professionalism and punctuality to Sela themselves. Problems began with Sela when the windows were to be installed. After the siding work was finished, I waited for the company to contact me regarding the windows. I knew the windows had to be ordered and made, and that it would take six weeks or so. On October 19th, which was a few days after the six week window, I called up Sela and was told that the windows had just arrived and someone would be contacting me to schedule their installation. Pleased, I hung up and waited for them to call. A week passed, and they did not call back. I called them back requesting information, and I got voicemail. This began a process of calling the company, being passed over to the Production department, and getting voicemail most of the time. I did get in touch with someone in the department a couple times, and each time they told me they had "just finished talking to the contractor" and that I would "get a call today". That did not happen. I believe I received one phone call back from my messages. They otherwise did not return my phone calls. Eventually, the week of November 6th, I got a phone call from the individual who would be installing the windows to set up a time. Pleased, I set up a date to get the windows installed (the following Monday, as I recall). They came out, installed the windows promptly and professionally. However, they were not equipped to wrap the windows, and I was told I'd need to wait for somebody to come out and handle that work. This was rather disappointing to me, as I had expected this work to be done when the window installers arrived. Instead, I had to play phone tag with Sela again before finally reaching somebody who could get the window wraps scheduled (for the next day, to their credit). The individuals from Sela came out and wrapped the windows the next day. They were scheduled to arrive at 11:00 am according to the phone call I had the previous day. They initially arrived at 8:30 to ask to look the windows over in order to get an idea of what materials they would need. That was understandable, though it was disruptive due to my working from home and being in a meeting at the time (I was alerted to their presence by our dog barking at top volume by the people at our door). 11:00 am came and went, and they had not arrived. They did not arrive until shortly before 1:00 pm, almost two full hours after their scheduled appointment. They did wrap the windows efficiently, and were friendly when I spoke with them. Overall, my disappointment is with their lack of responsiveness. If someone had returned one of my earlier calls asking for an update as to when my windows would be installed or what the delay was, I would have been perfectly happy and would not have had to waste my time calling them on a daily basis. Instead, Sela did not call me back with truthful updates and has left a bitter taste in my mouth. I can say that the quality of the work was excellent, but their responsiveness and customer service leave a lot to be desired. I could understand them estimating six weeks for the windows and needing an extra week, but the work was not finished until November 20th, which was 11 weeks from the date of the initial contract. If I had waited to have the siding done after the windows, I would have been at least a month out of compliance for my insurance company and my home would not have been insured. I do not plan to do business with them in the future.

Sela was one of three companies that we asked for bids on our siding. Although they were the low bid, we did not contract with them. We have used them before and they did an acceptible job. However this time we felt that they did not address our stated concerns and that they were more interested in what they wanted to provide rather than what it was we wanted.

We missed this roofing season..

The crew, was very courteous and professional. The site foreman, was very responsive and patient with my questions. I am very happy with my new roof. One issue arose afterwards, I had wanted a "cricket" flashing for my chimney and it was not initially installed. However, the company was incredibly responsive and quickly fixed it without hassle.
