he used the original shingles. The service person (Steve Neverman) was prompt, courteous and very efficient. While he was on the roof he even asked for a broom so he could sweep out an accumulation of pine needles in the roof valley. I was sold on the service provided by Sela and in particular, Steve Neverman. It was great service, timely completion and probably one of the most pleasant service people I have ever dealt with. I hope they are still around when I again need a roof replacement or repair.

I could not be happier with the work performed. A quality job was performed in a timely manner at a very competitive price. The work was completed in one day. The workers arrived after I left for work and the job was completed before I returned home. I would refer anyone needing a new roof to Sela.

Called Sela the morning after the most recent hail storm - within 1/2 hour Sela was out to inspect our roof. Got all the insurance stuff done and job completed within two weeks, 1st in our neighborhood to be completed. Everything looks great, roof, siding, gutters, window wraps. And everything was cleaned up perfectly afterwards as well.

Sela provided excellent service! They arrived on time, worked around bad weather, and cleaned up beautifully. My contact person always replied quickly whenever I left a message with questions. This is the second time I have used their services. My previous contact with them was to install a new roof. In both cases, I was very pleased with the results, the level and quality of service and the value relative to the cost of the projects. I would definitely recommend Sela to a friend, neighbor or relative!

Sela made replacing my roof very easy. My sales guy worked with my insurance agent to make sure he had all the details needed to correctly pay out my claim. The roofing crew did an amazing job and were very clean and careful. I did not lose one plant to this project. They went around the whole house with a big magnet to make sure all the nails were picked up. Another guy came out when it was all done to go over the warranties with me. When I brought up a couple areas of concern (old house, the pounding knocked some knots out of the roof decking) he scheduled an appointment for someone to come take a look and make any repairs needed. My concerns were taken seriously and I was assured that these areas would not be a problem. I would recoomend Sela to anyone who needs a new roof. Great experience.

Sela did a phenomenal job on my home. From the initial demolition of the roof, gutter system, deck removals and rubber roofs. They kept the surroundings very organized and clean. The workers were courteous and pleasant. Each item that was completed on my home was handled by an expert in that area. That had a big impact on the overall scope of all the components working together. I have a historical home and feel that it will be protected for a long time with what was done by Sela.

Very well. The team was very professional and even offered some services the others did not offer at the same cost. Job was completed fast, worksite was clean. They met us at the house after the work was done to make sure we were happy with their work. Good experience and we recommend them.

Very good job and professiinal

I contacted Sela in early June about a siding problem where my 29 year old 3 season porch meets the house. It was determined after 2 visits and photographs that the above work needed to be done. I signed the contract for work on 6/25/13 and had asked about the Angies list discount for seniors and was told all discounts had been applied (but my estimate was not detailed). I knew that due to the storm damage in Minneapolis, the work might not be done for 3 weeks. After that time had passed, I called and asked where I was on the schedule. Scheduler called me back and set up the appointment for July 19. I had asked for a different date but the crew they wanted to do it was available that day so I agreed. The crew arrived promptly, I had to show them where to park, did not speak much english, but got to work. They were efficient, professional, knew what they were doing, cleaned up everything well, and were done in 4.5 hours. I was extremely surprised to get an invoice July 27th asking for payment by July 31st when the painting had not been done. I emailed Jim Jenkins and asked him to let me know when the painting was going to be done. he did not respond so on Aug. 1 I called and spoke to Scott who apologized and said my account was accidentally sent out. He said the painter would call me the next week and complete the work. We also discussed the Angies list senior discount. I felt it wasn't correct to offer a discount to a small, specific group of customers if everyone was getting a 10% discount due to coupons and they do not allow stacking coupons. He offered to discuss and clarify with the sales staff and see if he could get me some discount due to communications hassles I had been experiencing. The painter called and came to check out the paint I had and how much and we set up an appointment for him to come back. It only took him 15 minutes to complete, looks very nice. I received my final invoice on 8/14 and discovered there was no mention of a discount so I called Scott and left a voicemail asking if this was a mistake. I waited until 8/19 and had no response so I mailed in my payment. I also called Pat Hall to voice my complaints before writing this review. He returned my call within 24 hours and listened very carefully to all my issues and agreed to address them, one by one. He did explain they had a new phone system and voicemails were not being captured. He offered me a discount for all of my issues and knew I would be writing this review. As a foot note, 4 days after this project was completed, we had a terrible wind and hail storm. I need an entire new roof, siding repair and replace 2 wooden garage doors. I was not going to consider using Sela but after talking to Pat, I may work with them again.

It went extremely well. They were quick and the roof looks gret. They also cleaned up and removed all debris.

Professional & timely service by both sales associate & work crew. Work crew was responsive to customer requests & came back to fix minor issue identified by customer.

We had the most insane roofline and the installers were able to put up gutters which are not noticeable at all. They were very professional. I am thankful we went with Sela. Great employees.

If you want damage to your property from contactors, then SELA is for you. First off, I had my driveway taped off because it was newly poured a couple hours before the SELA workers showed up. I don't know what stuff they need but the obviously needed electricity so the workers walked on my newly poured and taped off driveway to the garage to plug in their equipment. I called the salesman and he said sorry and will call the lead to make sure they were careful and come out tomorrow to look but don't think he did. He said they are masons and know when it?s safe to walk on concrete. Wrong answer. Also when I asked the workers to please stay off the driveway, they started walking around to walk on the newly pours side steps. After the work was completed the 2nd day, I noticed chips and a big gouge 4? wide in my front steps. I called the salesman again and he wasn't very nice. I said something happened, plus there were bricks all over the yard. He said they don?t drop bricks. I said I don?t go on the roof but hope bricks didn?t fall to the back side where I have a new flat roof. He said sorry for the inconvenience and will be out tomorrow to look at it. I said as the work looks nice but the flashing looks different on the sides. He got snippy and said that's how roofs have been done for 20 years. I said my roof about 3 years old ... didn't say anything more. He said he will come out and look at my steps and take pictures then call me back. I had to call him a week later to see if he found out what happened. Yes, there were some bricks that fell from their work on the roof. He will ask ?Mr. SELA? and call back. He did call back the next day and said they will come out and fix my front steps. It?s been 2-3 weeks and haven?t seen or heard from them at all. update: I forgot to add that at the first down pour of rain that summer, the chimney leaked water into the basement. Was told they didn't guarantee that part of the job, even though they installed the new leaky hardware with the chimney. I had to pay someone else to put new hardware on the chimney yet again since I was SOL with Sela.

I called on Monday and set up an appointment for noon on Wednesday. At 12:30 no one had shown up so I called. After nearly 10 minutes in HOLD I was told that because of the storm they somehow lost track of my appointment. I think I'll look for different company to work with.

The, initial, work was done to our satisfaction. The problem was after determining what had to be done, Sela was not responsive. They would not call back when they said they would. We had to contact them each time. We needed the work done by a certain date, which they said was no problem, but they did not get back to us with a schedule. We had to contact Sela and cancel the work for this year. Next year we will start this project, again, and will look elsewhere.

If you value your time and don't call Sela. First they are only interested in bigger jobs, they make that clear when you call. They also want you sitting at home waiting for them to show up. After I told the scheduler I wasn't going to be able to be at e house due to a work conflict , she hung up on me, I have called three other companies since calling Sela (with better ratings) and they had no problem inspecting the roof and calling me back with recommendations. So save your time and call someone else.

After a big hail storm last year, I called a couple of contractors to look at my roof. Sela was prompt and professional throughout my entire experience. The scheduling person sent an estimator to my home within a day of my call. Jarad came out and spent a long time evaluating the damage on my roof. Sela handled much of the correspondence with my insurance company and all sub contractors. Their bid was competitive and they were able to schedule the job within days of the storm. The crew arrived at my home on the scheduled date by 8:00 am. They were friendly, courteous and extremely neat. They performed the work quickly & efficiently and the entire job was completed before sundown. The yard was free of nails and debris and the dumpster was picked up right away. I had a very positive experience with Sela and I would highly recommend their services.

Well, no issues with any details...not even nails in the flowers!

One time, he would tell me he was waiting on the window pricing, the next time he'd say he was waiting on door prices, or something else, then he'd go back to saying he didn't have the window pricing. He kept stalling and never did give us even a rough estimate. Although he kept telling me he was within our price range he would not give us anything more firm than that. He rescheduled on me for 3 or 4 weeks and several times did not show up when he said he would. And that was all during the sales cycle. Because of his stalling, we were several weeks behind in ordering the spa that was to go into the room because we didn't want to order it without having a builder. We ended up going with another company, who came out when they said they would and we have been able to move forward. But trying to be patient and work with this builder put us nearly a month behind where we wanted to be. In the end, I just told him that if this is an example of how responsive he was during the sales cycle, we did not want to see how they'd be during the actual work so I cancelled the last appointment with him. We never did meet face to face after nearly a month. I would not give them more than a week to get back to you if you decide to get a quote from them. It just seemed that he was not honest since he kept changing his story on what the holdup was. We'd never bother to call them again. We had 3 other companies come out and all of them were much more professional, timely and responsive. No reason to even consider someone who clearly doesn't care about the first impression they make.

It was a nightmare. I had to watch them constantly. I caught a roofer nailing shingles to bare boards over the eve. Flashing was sloppy. The people at the home office were surly. In the end things worked out but I would not recommend them.

We are extremely satisfied with Sela and the roofing project they recently completed for us. From initial conversations through the sales process with Pat - all questions/concerns regarding roofing materials and installation were addressed and a clear and thorough estimate was provided. During each phase of the project, the people with whom we dealt were very professional and easy to work with. They came when they were scheduled and did the job within the time frame they established. Each member of the roofing crew preformed their work skillfully and with care and they were meticulous during cleanup. Sela exceeded our expectations in every way. We recommend them and would certainly do business with Sela again.
