The team at Sela did a great job from start to finish on my project! The team came and did the work ,completed on time and at the price quoted. I would highly recommend them to my friends and family.

We had a hail storm in August 2013 and I contacted 3 contractors to come out & look at my roof. The first company was an out of town, hard pressured storm chaser, the next one poked around and didn?t take any pictures or notes & one was Sela Roofing, the clear choice for our roof replacement. Working with VJ was great! He was very professional and knowledgeable and he provided before and after pictures on his tablet so we could actually visualize how the color would look on our house. Our driveway is fairly new so our request to not have a dumpster sitting on it for days was noted & and the roofers did a great job cleaning up during & after the job was completed. Sela is the one-stop-shop with a great reputation! Very pleasant experience. ?Just say SELA?!

Signed contract with Pat Hall for SELA on 10/31/2013 for above project; need for insulation removal added later. Informed the work could start soon, but could not be performed if colder than 10 degrees F. above zero. SELA sign installed in front yard and permit taped to living room window. Also noticed lots of SELA signs going up throughout neighborhood yards, but no visible signs of contractors. Received call from SELA that work on chimney cap would be done on 11/12/13 and was informed I did not need to be present at the home for this. Crew would start 0800 AM. Temp 14 degrees F above zero. I returned to the house at approximately 0900 AM to find crew had prepared scaffolding for chimney work and were just standing around apparently waiting. Crew spoke little English but were able to communicate they needed water before they could begin work for the concrete. I turned on the outside water line for them and they kept the concrete mixture warm in their wheelbarrow with portable fire. I don't know if the work would have been completed had I not returned to the house, but it worked out. They did their work, cleaned up, and left. 11/14/13: Received call from Amanda at SELA that their crew would start work on the roof in two weeks per Pat Hall. 12/12/13: After several phone calls from Scott, the project manager, and Pat, a dumpster was delivered to my driveway this morning at 0800 AM. Snow was removed from the old roof, the old shingles removed, repairs performed, old insulation removed, attic cleaned and sealed with foam, chutes installed. The crew worked together like a well oiled machine. Large tarps were spread over the snow to catch old shingles and other roof debris. At the end of the day, the roof was complete, the yard brushed clean, and the dumpster was full. 12/13/13: The dumpster was removed from the driveway before 0800 AM. The insulating crew returned and spent the day completing repairs, sealing spaces in the attic, and then blowing the loose fiberglass insulation into the attic space. Before they left for the day, they had weatherproofed and insulated the attic entry, cleaned up any residual tracking of their work both inside and outside, and then Tom, the crew foreman, explained what they had done and discussed any questions and concerns I had. He had also taken many pictures of the attic space that he would later upload to my email to proof his project. All that remained is to replace the original plywood soffits with ventilated aluminum soffits. During January, I noticed the snow melting over an unventilated bathroom space on the room and ice forming in the gutter. I called SELA and spoke with Pat and Tom. Pat informed me they were in the process of ordering the soffits for my house, but had no start date given. Tom told me that I needed to keep an eye on the roof and "watch it" because he didn't know for sure what could be causing the snow to melt so fast, other than the bathroom not having a fan. No definite date for soffit replacement and no one came out to look at the problem area. 01/29/14: Emailed SELA picture of ice dam forming over un-ventilated roof space. The insulation foreman, Tom, came out on 02/05/14 to inspect the melting and check on the cause. He determined that the ice was melting due to the lack of ventilation through the attic space. 02/06/14: Received call from Scott, production manager. He stated the soffits had not been ordered, but would have the material and soffit installer to my house on Monday, 2/10/14, to install the new ventilated soffits. 02/07/14: Discovered new soffit materials had been delivered to my driveway and left by the garage. 02/10/14: No show for installer. Received call after 600 PM from installer stating he had just received the order for my project and would try to start on 2/11 or 2/12. 02/11/14: No installer. 02/12/14: Returned home from work to find soffit replacement nearly complete and then completed by end of daylight same day. Total time for project beginning with contract to completion: Approximately three months. Additional costs? There will be unknown expense/s related to formation of an ice dam because soffit installation postponed nearly two months after sealing and insulating attic space. There is still too much snow covering roof to assess damages, if any. I would like SELA to step up and remove ice dam and perform any repairs to the roof at their expense. The work was great, but apparently all work was done by subcontractors. The new roof looked awesome, as a new roof should, before it was covered with snow and ice, but wondering what Spring will bring and if the shingles held on over this extraordinary winter. 05/07/2014: Summary of my SELA experience: SELA did redo my chimney cap, re-roof my house, seal & insulate my attic, and (eventually) installed the new soffits. SELA did not perform a final walk around with me to discuss the project, complete a punch list (the final cleanup of roof debris & nails, replace crushed downspouts, discover source of the unknown roof leak), or have the project inspected by a city inspector before demanding their final payment. It has been my experience that reputable contractors won?t demand the final payment for the project until the work is completed, the grounds cleaned, the project has passed inspection, and the owner?s questions and concerns have been addressed. It has been my experience that a new roof shouldn't leak. It has been my experience with SELA that communications were sub par, creating problems instead of addressing them. Norblom plumbers came to my house three times to address the source of the leak and each time found no cause for the leak to be from the plumbing. SELA?s Pat Hall, after performing a dry visual/ walk around on the roof and in the attic, concluded the leak was condensation from a vent plumbing connection in the attic. My SELA experience included additional costs for plumbers and a professional inspection of the roof. A SELA contractor was scheduled to meet with a plumber from Norblom at my house ? SELA instead sent their in-house collector who then stated he didn't know anything about ?the broken pipe? or construction. The end result of my SELA experience is that I would never recommend their company to anyone else. April 22, 2014 inspection of roof by city inspector Joe Tomasetti failed due to lack of saddle cricket on chimney & failure to verify ice/water shield.

Sela did an excellent job. I have never had to go through this process before. They were efficent, helpful and had excellent workmanship. They worked with our insurance company and made the process go so smoothly. I had numerous companies come our for bids and by far Sela was the top choice.

The project was complicated, involving soffits, fascia and gutters, and an old house. Coordinating the project, not to mention even understanding what was needed, was way beyond my understanding. Pat handled everything with the insurance company and was able to work out a successful negotiation with all parties that led to very successful conclusion. Once the insurance was resolved, Sela moved into action and this required removal of the existing stucco soffits, replacing them with new aluminum soffits, new gutters and also a new roof. This involved 3 different groups of workers from Sela. All were professional, extremely competent, and very personable. The majority of this work was done during the worst of the cold weather. Everyone showed up and worked during difficult conditions. I was kept informed with every step of the project. Questions were answered quickly and competently all along the way. I couldn't be happier with all the work done and how it was handled. I would highly recommend Sela Roofing to anyone needing roofing/building repairs.

Due to hail storm, Generally all went well. Wasn't informed in advance that driveway needed to be clear for dumpster which was dropped on grass next to driveway. When roofing crew arrived, they informed me that driveway needed to be clear and made arrangements for another dumpster to be brought in. The dumpster driver said the crew was not happy and this delayed their start so they worked until dark and had to use flashlights to clean up debris upon completion. The next day I picked up missed debris. Crew spoke very little English which made it difficult to communicate. Upon their arrival I was not introduced to anyone and a supervisor was not identified. When crew finished, they left the old gutters all along the backyard with no information of what would be done with them. When I asked, they said they didn't know. They also left unused product on the grass in boxes with no instructions. They should know and provide information on what follow up was to be done with the materials left behind and they should have asked where items left behind should be stored until pickup. I had to physically move the old gutters myself so my lawn service could service my yard. During gutter installation, one of the installers recommended I combine 2 downspouts into 1 indicating there would be no issues by combining them, but the one downspout now drains into the driveway leaving puddles and during the winter there is more ice than usual during a day thaw and refreeze at night. I plan to call and have this corrected which I'm sure Sela will make right. Otherwise the product is beautiful, the sales rep and office staff communication was great with the exception of what is noted above. They also recommended an attic insulation evaluation which we took advantage of, and ended of having done as well with no issues. Most costs were covered by insurance less my deductible with the exception of the items purchased separately.

Consultation and bidding was very thorough. Representative was excellent. Roofing crew was hard working, very efficient and friendly. Gutter guys were exceptional.

Sela came out and matched my insurance estimate. After i agreed to go ahead the were ready to have the work done as soon as i was ready. They started when i asked and finished the whole roof removal and replacement in one day. The gutters were done a couple of days later. Next was the staining off our whole house which was all completed in a timely manner. We are very pleased with all the work and would highly recommend Sela Roofing. Our house has not looked this good in at least a decade and we know the work was done as good as it could be done by a great company.

Our Sela service representative went above and beyond to work with our insurance claims adjuster to make sure that we received a full and accurate account of the damage that occurred at our home last August as a result of hail and wind damage. The service work that the Sela team did on the replacement of our roof and gutters was done in a timely and professional manner. We couldn't be happier with the level of service that we have received.

Sela exceeded our expectations. Their pricing was fair. Their crew was fast and thorough, and tidied up after themselves. We had a small contract misunderstanding and instead of placing blame on us, they addressed everything 100% to our satisfaction. By doing so, they earned a customer for life. I absolutely recommend them.

The start took almost 3 months from the order date - mostly because of us choosing to use Marvin and that two of the windows had to be specially built half-rounds. The salesman recommended Alside vinyl replacement windows, but we felt that companies windows appeared cheaply made and we decided to go with a top of the line window replacement. This was replacing the entire windows. The siders where here a couple of days before the window guys started. All went well, taking 12 working days for the siding, and 9 for the windows to be finished. We included having the interior staining done via Sela - but it cost almost double what a local contractor quoted me, so next time will hire the local painter for the small job! Work looks good, a few rough points on the siding finish, but was repaired to our satisfaction quickly. Only one downside to the experience - that was the siders driving nails straight through roof shigles to support their scaffolding. These holes are sealed, but my concern in long-term leaking possibilities. Thankfully, Sela concurred and has agreed to replace the damaged shingles come spring (with our reserve supply) at their cost. Very responsive to my concerns. I am happy with their work and will contract next summer for gutters and deck work I am considering having done.

My over all experience was very good. The salesmen was excellent, he was very informative and thorough. He made sure what our insurance would cover was taken full advantage of. My only small complaint is no one really stepped forward as the foreman for the job. The quote was a little less than the final bill but they worked with our insurance company to resolve that. When the job was done the salesman came back to make sure everything was done properly. They did an excellent job and I would highly recommend them

Sela was great. The installers did a fabulous job on both my windows and my roof. I really, really love them! My only minor complaint was that they were so busy it took them about a month to schedule my roof. BUT THEY ARE WELL worth the wait!. When they were finished with the roof, I didn't see a single shingle or nail on the driveway or around the house. They also took extra time on the windows to make sure they looked gorgeous.

THE OPERATIONS MANAGER WAS MOST HELPFUL IN HELPING US MAKE ALL THE DECISIONS REQUIRED IN REPLACING OUR ROOF SHINGLES -- FROM HELPING US CHOOSE THE RIGHT SHINGLE (INCLUDING THE COLOR) TO MAKING SURE WE HAD THE NECESSARY ICE AND WATERSHIELD FOR OUR HOME THAT HAS LARGE OVERHANGS (UP TO 12 FEET) AROUND THE ENTIRE BUILDING AND TO PERSONNALY WORK WITH THE CLAIMS ADJUSTER FROM OUR INSURANCE COMPANY. THE OPERATIONS MANAGER MADE SURE THAT THE WORKMEN WERE SUPERVISED BY A EXPERIENCED ROOFER; AND THAT THE PROJECT WAS DONE AT THE TIME WE REQUESTED IT BE FINISHED. THE OPERATIONS MANAGER/SALESMAN HAD STRAIGHT FORWARD ANSWERS TO ALL OUR QUESTIONGS WHENEVER ASKED. BEST OF ALL WE DID NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT RECEIVING THE NECESSARY LIEN WAIVERS BEFORE WE PAID THE FINAL PAYMENT BECAUSE WE WERE DEALING WITH A COMPANY WITH AN OUTSTANDING REPUTATION WHO HAS BEEN AT THE SAME LOCATION FOR MANY YEARS... WE HAVE RECOMENDED SELA ROOFING & REMODELING TO MANY OF OUR FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS..

Had a very good experience with SELA with our hail damaged roof replacement this fall. Appointments were always right on time, they met and worked with my insurance company claims adjuster to make sure they found all damage. They scheduled the job to meet our schedule ? and what seemed to be way ahead of other contractors that were in the area. Dumpster, materials and crew all showed up right on time and they finished the job in two days (working late into the evening). A super job in cleaning up. The roof looks great. Overall, very good job. I would use this vendor again.

Following the hail storm I contacted my insurance and they gave me a detailed cost estimate. After talking with three roofers I selected Sela. Their estimator was prompt and agreed to do the work for the insurance amount. The roofing team came on time, the materials were delivered on time and the crew finished in 11 hours. Two days later the the gutter crew xcame as sheduled and replace all the gutters. I had them install a leaf guard system and it seems to be working very well. They did everything on time. I was impressed.

Sela workers arrived on time, removed all the old roofing and placed in dumpster, installed the new roof and vents and cleaned up all materials that were on the ground. The workers were very pleasant and did an excellent job. We have recommended Sela to our neighbors who had storm damage to their roof too. If we ever have another project on our house, we will not hesitate to call Sela.

They did a great job on a complicated project as our roof has 4 peaks and the age of the house made precise measurement difficult due to settling. The crew was very careful of landscaping and kept us informed daily on progress. The roof looks great, work was done precisely and we're very happy.
