Sela Roofing & Remodeling

The team that Sela hired to do our deck did an amazing job, and were a joy to have around. They showed up each day right when they said they would. They didn't leave any mess, always checked in if they were going to do something that they thought might be a bother (I was at home) and kept us posted on the schedule. When they had to remove our patio doors to work on the rubber roof, the team lead, Ryan, asked for sheets or paint drop cloths to lay the doors on so protect the finish. They were careful about many little details that crews in the past just haven't cared about. Also, a couple were smokers, and we didn't find hardly any cigarette butts in the grass at all. Cleanest crew ever! I would hire this team again in a heart beat. So happy! The best part? Our deck turned out really gorgeous. Thank you to Sela and to the team that worked on our deck!

Chimney and roof look great! Chimney and roof (which was a complete tear off with replacement of some plywood panels) were done in 1 day for each project. Clean-up was done afterwards with the crew also using a metal detector to pick up nails, they also raked the yard and swept the driveway.

We only had a consultation and it was a complete waste of time. I left work early to meet them at our home. We had one other Angie's List A-rated company come out prior to this visit for an estimate and they went up onto the roof and did their own inspection (in addition to reviewing the general inspection report we provided). My husband was home during that visit, so I was expecting a similar visit from this company. They were there for less than 5 minutes. When I met him, he asked me what we were looking at today. When I mentioned the roof and reviewed what came up on our general inspection report, he asked me to point it out to him (mind you, we were on the ground). I did my best to explain from the ground and tried to show him the pictures from the report, but he told me a few quick things about how one area that was visible could be repaired and then told me to "pray for a hailstorm" so we could get a new roof instead. The man wasn't rude by any means, but I expected more from a consultation/estimate visit; especially since we had already met with so many other companies (roofing or otherwise). Clearly, he wasn't interested in our business. All-in-all, we will not be using this company for our roofing work nor any of our other future remodeling work.

My experience with Sela Roofing and Remodeling has been great – everyone from the sales staff to the work crew. Sela recently reroof my townhome, replaced two skylights, and added insulation to the attic. The whole process went smoothly, and it looks fantastic! What really sold me on Sela over some other companies was that they offered solutions to my ice dam issues-insulation/ventilation. Mike, the independent contractor who does the insulating, was very thorough. I’ve always had to rake the roof to prevent ice dams in the past. With the strategic placement of insulation, I hope to never rake again.

Sela doesn't do just roofing. They do home construction, remodeling and a host of other services. They did a new roof on my mother's home a few years ago, and the workmanship and materials were outstanding. So, I called them to help me out on another project. There is a large, open porch on the front of my mother's home. The overhang is held up by decorative concrete pillars, with wooden posts attached to the roof of this overhang. The home is an older one, and the concrete caps were beginning to crumble, and the wood was getting rotted. Sela did a great job to repair this. New cement caps were placed on the existing concrete pillars. Then, they replaced the old, rotted wood with new, decorative posts. This returned the sturdiness to the porch overhang and the new wooden posts added an attractive decor to the house. The work was done in a timely manner, and the results were very professional looking. Very well satisfied with Sela, and will be using their services in the future. It was a pleasure working with them.

It was perfect !!! The workers were pleasant and very professional. Even in the heat of early August they worked hard and long days. The materials used were all high quality. We now have the nicest looking house in our area, My wife and I are very pleased and highly recommend SELA for everyone !!!

sela took the stance that they could get my roof paid for by consulting with their own legal firm and it facilitated a mutual agreement between myself and insurance company to split costs fairly

Once we figured out a date to begin the work, it went great. The Sela team members I worked with were very professional, friendly and helpful.

Sela Roofing and Remodeling just replaced the siding on my home and it looks beyond great. The City Inspector said to me and I quote " the house stands out in the neighborhood, looks really nice and loved". A proud homeowner, thanks to Sela.....the sales person sold me what I wanted and the installation was top notch.....I would recommend Sela to anyone!

Fantastic! Once again, Sela did an excellent job. We've used them in the past for a total new roof installation. We wanted to have the chimney repaired had them give us a bid. Once again, the bid was reasonable. the men that set up the scaffolding were quick and knowledgeable. They were polite and assured us they would make every effort to not ruin the plantings under the scaffolding. Their clean up was also perfect. The mason that built the new chimney is a master. He matched the brick and the pattern. He finished it in one late afternoon. The men that came back to do the shingles and flashing were also very nice. They also completed their work efficiently. Sela is well known in my neighborhood. They do an excellent job, start to finish.

Excellent. From the start planning with Greg McDougal to the very end with Jesse. My experience could not have been better. The crew arrived on time and ready to work. Luis kept me apprised of the progress thru the day. They were exceptional in keeping my property clean and protected throughout he whole process. Sela did a great job! We had roof/soffits/fascia replaced. They were very professional and courteous, and the house looks fantastic. Their price was excellent as well. We are very happy!

Our porch has a flat roof we did a little research and found there are only a few places that do flat roof repair Sela Roofing and Remodeling being one ( Glad they are ) We called Sela and several other contractors for a bid. Sela was the only one to give us a complete bid for the job. While their sales rep was here we discussed several other jobs that we needed done. Based on reviews we have seen, BBB rating and established presence in the area we ended up contracting with them for the flat roof replacement, chimney rebuild and new gutters with leaf protection. The work was completed as professionally as the bid process was. Since we had a significant leak on our porch I asked Sela to complete the work as soon as they could and they obliged and had a team on it in a few days. The chimney rebuild and gutter replacement were also completed in a timely fashion. All of the work was completed as professionally as the bid process was. Each team that was here did a great job and cleaned up the area when complete. Based on this experience we will always look to Sela first.

We recently had a roof installed by Sela Roofing and Remodeling. We had obtained 2 quotes prior to contacting them and selected Sela because of the professional way they handled the quote process, their BBB rating, and the fact that they have an established presence in the industry. Their workmanship was excellent. Not only did they do a fantastic job replacing the roof, they were careful not to damage the landscape and they completely removed any / all materials and scraps that had fallen on the ground. Now that we know what an excellent service Selah provides, we will surely work with them on other major home projects.

We are totally pleased with the experience and the result. The cost was competitive, landing between the other 2 bidders. As a result, we would have no hesitation in recommending Sela to others for any roofing needs. Sela, through Pat Hall, Connie Larson, and several team members, was totally responsive to our needs. When they said something would happen, it happened; when we had minor issues or questions, their response to such was always timely. From start of project to finish, the roofing crew was exceptional: arriving early in the morning and sometimes working well into the evening, always cleaning up the yard after each day. When it was discovered the roof needed redecking, which possibility we were appraised of before signing the contract, a person arrived with a change order to the contract to agree upon and sign. The insulation crew provided innovative solutions to our bothersome venting problems. The team from Sela Gutter Division was fast, efficient, and customer oriented, being totally responsive to our needs for a gutter installation that accommodated our rain barrels. In short, we would gladly hire Sela again.

We had one minor concern about a missing part for our gutters that was remedied within two days of bringing it to their attention. They were excellent at leaving everything clean when they were finished. I would definitely use SELA again and would recommend them to our friends.

Sela and our salesman, Dan Kinning, (612.290.7701) did an excellent job on our house project. It was a huge job that entailed the installation of all new windows, a new roof, new Hardie board siding with stonework on the front of the house, construction of a peak in the roof line over the front door and a bead board ceiling on the porch. Several different Sela employees were involved and all were professional and very helpful. The crew chiefs for each particular area were particularly knowledgeable and helpful with ideas and guidance on design and practicality. Dan was involved and available at every stage to ensure the project ran smoothly and address any issues that arose. We would definitely hire Sela again.

They did a very good job. They contacted us with the date to expect them and thats when they showed up. They made sure to clean up after themselves each day. The men were very friendly taking the time to talk to us and chat our kids (which my oldest didn't want to stop talking to them.) When we had a question about our service we contacted our representative and he was able to answer our question and had the guys do what we asked. Overall we were very happy with Sela and would use them again.

We have used Sela in the past answer every happy with their work and their professionalism. We preferred to work with them again in our new house when we had storm damage to our roof. We were asked by our insurance company ringer three bids. We called two companies whom they recommended and then Sela. Sela was cheapest and fastest start and end dates.

It was excellent. I needed a complete chimney rebuild and received three bids. SELA was the middle bid and I considered going with them immediately because their salesperson was great and the estimate included firm start dates and solid terms and conditions. Trying to save a buck, I signed on with the cheapest contractor despite having some serious misgivings. Misgivings that turned out to be true when he made excuse after excuse for delay after delay. I fired that contractor and when I called up SELA's salesperson and asked when he could start he said next week. It was amazing from start to finish and the crew was polite and cleaned up before going home. I would use SELA again in an instant.

Throughout the entire process SELA was a five star experience. From day 1 when Brian Shallbetter came to provide me with thorough details of what would be done and the price it would be to completion date when I was contacted by Rachael Gorden to check in and get my feedback on the work performed. I would recommend SELA for any roofing and gutter needs, and when it comes time to replace my windows I will not hesitate to call again! We needed a complete replacement of the roof on our house and SELA did an excellent job. Our sales rep Greg was on time Friday and completed the Roofing Contract within 4 hours. Jessica called on Monday confirmed the shingle selection and set up a roofing date for Wednesday. The dumpster was delivered and the excellent roofing crew were right on time. The job was completed in 8 hours as promised. Best of all it was within our budget. Both Jessica and Rachel made follow up contact and thanked us for selecting SELA. Thanks SELA we will use you again!

Made a call for an appointment 2 weeks prior, and planned my schedule around that day. Jared called 1/2 hour before to let me know he wouldn't be coming, as another employee was more qualified to evaluate the roof. That person showed up 2 hours early, as I was leaving for a dental appointment. I didn't have time to talk about the roof at all. Jared called me a week later to discuss the findings, but I wasn't able to take his call at that time. I called a week ago to get the estimate, and left a message with Sales rep for Jared. No response. Won't be hiring SELA now, despite good reviews.

Sela Roofing was great to work with and they did a wonderful job. Jessica, the assistant production manager, was very helpful in setting up estimates and work dates. The workers were very friendly, professional, and the roof and gutters look great! I would not hesitate to use Sela in the future or to recommend them to a friend.

Everything went as planned. We chose Sela after asking for bids from 3 other roofing companies. Sela was lower than the others but just as important their customer service was significantly better than the others. They got back to us quickly about the initial bid, answered all questions, modified the bid when we requested some additional siding and worked with us on the timing due to some travel plans we had. The work was completed on time in spite of a rainy spring. Everything was done as promised. This is the second time Sela has replaced our roof. The first one lasted 22 years.
