Very professional and polite technician. Took his time doing thorough inspection and cleaning of the flues. Left my house clean and even cleaned the ash out of the fireplaces. He went up on my roof to inspect the outside chimneys with a lot of snow present. This is the second time I have had them do work for me and am 100% satisfied and would highly recommend this company.

Right on time, arrived about 8:15 am ready to go to work. Took about 45 minutes to complete the chimney sweeping. Kept me fully informed of all aspects of the work. Gave good feedback about “health” of chimney. Great clean up when job was finished. Sent me an email that thoroughly explained all aspects of job performed.

The Pixley sweep arrived on time, after giving a 10-minute heads-up via phone, and went right to work. After completing his cleaning, he showed me the interior of the chimney with his video camera and display unit. The video revealed one small flaw in the mortar between two of the tiles lining the flue but he suggested this only need be re-examined in another year or 2 and was not a cause for immediate concern. The fireplace once again draws beautifully and the fires since the cleaning have been smoke and odor free. I am completely satisfied with the work, planning to use Pixley's service again

Was told an inspection would be adequate. He looked in the chimney with a camera and left. No cleaning other than a quick vacuum of the hearth. Did not clean ashes out of burn area or do anything in the chimney other than look. Total time 30 to 45 minutes. $169.00 seems a little high for such a short visit. He was professional and seemed to know what he was doing so I will not make a final judgement on only one visit. He did make a point of not providing unnecessary service which did reduce the cost by $120.

Jack Pixley was so professional compared to ANY chimney sweeps we have hired in the past. They did a very thorough job, offered safety and additional advice but not "additional urgent services performed by them." I felt very comfortable with their advice being truly in my best interest not a sales effort. I will definitely hire them again. They were on time, respectful, knowledgable and thorough.

A few years ago, Jack Pixley Sweeps built a new liner and replaced it inside the chimney for my wood burning stove. It was a complicated and expensive process to replace the chimney liner, but worth every penny, as it made my wood stove safe to use again. To keep the lifetime warranty for that liner, I have Jack Pixley come out every year to clean and inspect the chimney. This year, Jim came out to clean the chimney and noticed some creosote glazing, which of not addressed, can eventually cause a chimney fire and ultimately a house fire. Jim educated me on the possible causes for the glazing and how to remedy that. We also scheduled another follow up cleaning in a couple of months to make sure we are making safe progress. I just can’t say enough good things about Jim and all of the employees I’ve had contact with at Jack Pixley. They are true professionals and they really do care about the comfort and safety you have inside your home. An A rating isn’t high enough, but it’s as high as this review will allow me to rate them. Thank you Jim and thanks to all of the fantastic people at Jack Pixley!

The technician, Randy, was very professional. He took time to show me the inside of the cleaned chimney, did an inspection for any problems (found none), and helped solve a difficulty we were having with opening and closing the fireplace screen. Will definitely use Pixley in the future.

Went perfectly. Nice workmanship. The crew was very friendly and took extra care to explain what they were doing and why. Cleanup very good. Match of old brick to new brick was as good as could be expected. Old chimney was over 50 years old. Hard to get an exact match.

I moved into my house about 3 years ago and used the fireplace the first two winters, but then decided to have it inspected before using it again. It was clearly older, and I was a little concerned about safety and whether or not it needed cleaning/repairs. Prior to the appointment - Pixley sent out a reminder along with a photo of James, just so I'd know who to expect. The day of the appointment, James completed his first job or two of the day early so called to ask if he could come to my house early. That worked great for me, so he arrived about an hour or so before my 2-hour time frame. He was courteous but also easy-going, and answered my questions about my fireplace/chimney. I had said ahead of time that I would be interested in cleaning/repairs if they were needed. It didn't appear I really did at this time, and James was honest about that and I didn't feel at all 'led' to do any work that wasn't needed. That's maybe a little thing, but I appreciate that a lot. Pixley also clearly takes keeping the home clean ... there were tarps/throws laid out all around my fireplace/wood stove just for the inspection. I would definitely use Pixley again.
