Bester Brothers Transfer & Storage Company

They picked up our things from a storage unit and from our house, moving it all to our future home. They did a good job. They were hard workers. I was very satisfied. Nothing was lost or broken.

The company has been established for many years. We had agreed to one price and they ended up charging us higher. We had to move 60 miles. They were supposed to help us unpack, but they didn?t. They only put things in general areas. I am missing a lot of my jewels and a couple of other things. They lacked cooperation. They charged us for boxes when we already had them. They also didn?t take an inventory. I was extremely upset and dissatisfied with them. I really didn?t like their service.

They were pretty good. Everyone that I had talked to was very professional. Their price was higher than what I had expected, though. They gave me the information that I wanted.

Beautiful job. The movers were helpful, courteous and went above and beyond to accommodate our unique circumstances. No damages or problems of any time. We really appreciated their service and would recommend without hesitation.

Everyone who came out was very nice and friendly. They were careful moving all of our stuff and they were patient since we were not fully prepared for the move. I thought that they did a great job. The prices were very competitive among the three quotes that we received. There was one company that was similar, however I felt that Bester Brother was going to be more responsive to me.

Excellent. They were very clever about figuring out a safe way to store the grand piano so there was enough room to store it and the rest of our furniture in the little space we had available while the floors were being done. We wanted to make certain the piano did not damaged in any way - it is was in perfect condition when the job was done! They were really great. They showed up on time both trips (moving things out and moving them back). We will use them again next time. They were very careful to protect the floors when they moved everything back.

Estimate was 20% higher than two other estimates. Good explanation of what they would do and what we should do. Sounded like they would do a good job.

Went well. They were quick and nothing was damaged. They were faster than the estimated time and the prices were reasonable. I will definitely use them again when we move again.

They wasted my time in what appears to be a disingenuous bait and switch technique to capture business. I will never use their services.

They are very professional and hard workers. They are so efficient and caring and nothing has been damaged. They are very good. I would recommend them to anybody. They work very fast and they are amazing! They do not try to stretch the time out.

We are very pleased. The moving coordinator visited our home for an estimate. They were flexible with our busy work schedule and came at 6:30 am! They estimated about 7 hours with 3 men and a 26' truck. They gave us helpful brochure to help with the move. The morning of the move, they arrived on time between 8 am-9 am. They gave us free wardrobe boxes for the day to help in the move. They were proficient. It only took them about 4.25 hours to complete (including transit time). They handled everything with care, used floor pads on top of the new wood floors, and asked us where we wanted things placed. Not one thing or section of our home was damaged.

Quite professional. Left behind a packet with the estimate that included some helpful moving tips. However, their estimate was much higher than our other two and they declared that they would not disassemble/reassemble two beds, which the moving company we selected had no problem doing at all (doing it without asking and without charge).

They were prompt, price reasonable, and also polite. They were very meticulous and careful with the piano during the move.

Bester Brothers did an excellent job. We appreciated having our phone calls returned promptly, and the in-person estimate based on a walk-through of our property. The estimate was quite a bit higher than our actual bill, but we were told that it was a "worst-case scenario." This actually gave us the opportunity and the incentive to do more packing and organizing in order to save money. Bester Brothers movers were careful, polite, and very hard working. They even called our attention to a bit of damage on a dresser that they hadn't actually caused--I knew the ding was from a previous move! None of our things were damaged.

They had excellent service. They handled everything that was being moved with care. They were on time. And The price that I paid I feel is a reasonable price.

Bester Brothers is somewhat unique in terms of the moving companies that we contacted in that they actually send someone to your home to write the estimate, which I appreciate. Overall the moving experience was very positive. They arrived on-time and completed the move very quickly having to contend with 21 stairs up to our old house. The movers themselves were very professional and courteous and worked quickly. We were unable to move in on the same day that we moved out and they stored our items overnight at their warehouse for $75. The following morning they were on-time at the new house in Northfield and worked quickly to unpack the truck. Again, all the movers were very professional and courteous. The only item damaged in the move was unfortunately the most expensive as well. A fabric sectional sofa received a small but prominent tear in the fabric during the move probably because it wasn't sufficiently covered with blankets when loaded on the truck. When we contacted Lynn at Bester Brothers his initial response was to offer $100 for compensation. This sofa was only about 2 years old and retail price is over $2500. Clearly we weren't asking for replacement cost but $100 seemed a bit low, even for a repair. When we pressed they raised their offer to $200 but wouldn't go any higher. We communicated that we had been very pleased with the overall move but we felt that $200 was insufficient compensation for the damage. We are planning on another move within the next year within Northfield and certainly would have used Bester Brothers again but now have some reservations given the outcome related to the damage.

They were also very responsive with scheduling on short notice. Great company!

A representative came to look at our home and belongings, ask questions about what things would be going on the day (some we would be taking beforehand or leaving behind as minor dressing for selling), and give us an estimate. He was punctual, polite, and informative. When moving day arrived, the team (4 movers and 2 trucks, as I recall) was on time, polite, and competent. They hauled a large number of boxes of books, several large pieces of furniture, and myriad electronics - sometimes down an uncomfortably twisting flight of stairs - without any complaint or mishap. I recall that the day took longer than estimated, but not by a great deal.

Very very well. Company rep (Lynn?) showed up to do the estimate. He was very friendly - very approachable. He looked the house over, asked a few good questions, and gave me an estimate. The day before moving they called to confirm date and time. The movers were 1/2 late, but got right to work when they got there. They were friendly and helpful, took directions well. Everything was moved quickly and NOTHING WAS DAMAGED. We were very happy with how it transpired. The final total was even BELOW ESTIMATE! We were very happy with this company and would hire them again in an instant.

The guys arrived on time, were very polite, professional, and couldn't have been nicer to my grandmother. She was a little nervous (to say the least) about moving after living in her home for 50 years. They guys were very patient with her and extremely careful with all of her things. They completed the job timely, and even helped fix a "sticking door" in her new condo! They not only brought all of her items into the condo, but they even reassembled the beds, hooked up the TV, etc. They were absolutely wonderful!! I would highly recommend them, and will use them again if I need to move myself (or anyone in my family) again.

I called for an estimate and within 2 days, Lynn came over, took some notes and offered an estimate. The next day he dropped off some packing boxes. Everything went so smoothly - two trucks and four gentlemen arrived at my house around 8:45 AM. They introduced themselves and got to work. They were friendly, efficient and packed up the few items I was not able to pack on my own. They brought in some wardrobe cartons for hanging clothes which I filled as they dismantled beds and continued to fill the truck. Once everything was cleared out, we headed to the new house. At the new house, two men worked outside hauling things from the trucks to the door and two men worked inside in stocking feet so no dirt was tracked into the house. They took time to question where to put things if they weren't labeled and placed the furniture as I asked. I could not be more pleased with how everything went. Plus they did it in less time than the original estimate.

Overall, things turned out well. I was to meet the movers at the condo at 9am. They arrived almost an hour late without an explanation. The guys were nice and very careful with the things they moved. They also moved a couple of additional pieces around in the house without complaint. When I was presented with the bill, it was for more time than I expected. The drivers explained it took an hour and a half to get to our condo from St. Paul (Map quest says 25 minutes). I paid the bill and then wrote a letter to Bester Brothers explaining my frustration with being billed for what seemed like an excessive amount of travel time. I requested they credit for one hour of move time, which they did in just a few days.

Great move. All of the movers were polite, considerate, easy to work with. They took care with our stuff and were great about taking their shoes off when they were working inside.

They did an excellent job. Arrived in a timely way and were quick and efficient with their work. Very courteous of my elderly mother in law who was moving into an assisted living facility. One of the movers helped another elderly resident bring a suitcase down a stairway as he was returning to the truck for another load. We couldn't have been more pleased.

They were very good, professional, and fast, which was very much appreciated. The communication was good. At the last minute, my moving date moved up, so I was only able to give them a day's notice. They said they could arrive before 5pm, and they showed up at noon because they were able to work me in sooner! Nothing was broken, scratched, or dented. They weren't allowed to use the elevator in my apartments, so they had to use the steps, and they didn't show any signs of being bothered by it. Moving is usually pretty stressful, but they made me feel very confident and relaxed!
