Came out to give us a quote. Was late to the appointment and never called to say he would be late. We felt he hurried through the sales presentation and was in a hurry to leave. He didn't ask us any questions about our home or what we were looking for, but still gave us a quote that day. The quote was the highest we got. He followed up by phone after we had already had the work done. Obviously, he didn't need our business.

Wenzel Heating and Air Conditioning evaluated our existing furnace and identified the source of a chronic problem that we had been having for 8+ years. During this time we have had no less than 4 other contractors out to look at the furnace but none of them could seem to fix the actual problem. They always seem to point to the obvious problem but not the root cause of the larger problem. Wenzel determined that the furnace was installed incorrectly originally. Their technician showed me in the Owners / Installation Manual how it should have been installed and compared that to how it was installed. Improper installation ultimately caused premature failure. Unfortunately it was beyond the warranty period for the original installation company, Genz Ryan. All of their employees, from Bob Hanson to the service technician to the installation technician were extremely professional. We couldn't have asked for a better contractor.

Did not accept bid. The estimator was responsive to the call for a bid, on time for the bid, professional and knew his stuff. The price was significantly higher than another equally professional contractor's bid which was accepted for $5650 for the same work. Both contractors were licensed in Minneapolis and insured.

We are really pleased with the product. He was so honest and very accommodating because the service wasn't going to be installed before it got cold to test it. They asked us to hold back 500$ to make sure they would come back to insure the system was running correctly. The only suggestion I can make for areas of improvement is that they could clean up a bit better.

Professional and courteous. Would consider using them again in the future. Cost of the work may have been as much as $400.00. I don't remember exactly.

MIDWEST EQUIPMENT SET UP AN APPOINTMENT TO SERVICE MY AIR CONDITIONER. I CALLED A COUPLE OF TIMES AND NEVER RECEIVED A CALL BACK OR AN APPEARANCE. I WOULDN'T USE THEM AGAIN.

WENZEL WAS ABLE TO WORK ME IN AND WAS DONE IN A COUPLE OF DAYS.

KIRK JOHNSON CAME OVER TO GIVE US AN ESTIMATE AND WAS FAR MORE THOROUGH THAN THE OTHER COMPANIES FROM WHICH WE GOT BIDS. HE REALLY KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING. HIS CREW PERFORMED THE WORK IN A TIMELY MANNER AND WERE EASY TO WORK WITH. IT TOOK HIM QUITE A WHILE TO GET THE CITY OUT TO INSPECT THE JOB, BUT HE DID NOT REQUEST PAYMENT UNTIL AFTER THE INSPECTION. SINCE THE BOILER WORKED GREAT RIGHT AWAY AND WE HADN'T PAID HIM YET, WE DIDN'T MIND THE DELAYED INSPECTION. WHEN THE INSPECTOR CAME, HE THOUGHT THE WORK WAS TOP-NOTCH. OVERALL, WE WERE HAPPY AND IMPRESSED WITH THE JOB.

NO MECHANICAL PROBLEMS FOUND WITH ZONE CONTROL, BUT I LEARNED ENOUGH WHILE HE WAS HERE TO FINE TUNE IT SO IT IS WORKING BETTER. HE DID DISCOVER A QUESTIONABLE SETTING MADE BY A SERVICE TECH FROM ANOTHER COMPANY.

THE INSTALLATION WAS FINE. HE HASN'T FOLLOWED THROUGH ON SEVERAL PROMISES INVOLVING THE COST AND THE SERVICE.

CAME OUT RIGHT AWAY and DID A GOOD JOB BUT A LITTLE PRICEY

SERVICE WAS GOOD. HOWEVER, GAVE ME A 8 - 12 ARRIVAL WINDOW WITH BEST GUESS OF 9 - 9:30. ARRIVED AT 12:45. NO PHONE CALL UNTIL 12:00.

THEY FORGOT TO HOOK UP OUR WATER HEATER AFTER INSTALLATION. CALLED THEM BACK AND THEY WERE OUT WITHIN 2 HOURS

WANTED TO SELL ME A NEW FURNACE, BUT I DIDNT NEED ONE.
