Service Coordinator Corey Houser goes the extra mile in providing service, even when you’re not a Wenzel customer. He quickly responded to an e-mail I sent him, promising to contact Bryant to find an answer to my problem. He followed through, and I got my answer in no time at all.

Work was done in less than 8 hours. Ended up being charged an enormous amount of money passed thru by the GC. They did knock off some $ for work that they did not need to do, but over charging residential , non-profit customers at brain surgery rates is ridiculous. Beware.

Condo and furnace are ~ 9 years old. When we turned on the heat for the first time, the fan ran but no heat produced. Called one HVAC person with A listing on Angie's List. He said that there was flame roll out and thus our heat exchanger was not functioning and would need to be replaced ($3900), or else we could buy a new (and better quality) furnace for $5900, with a 10-year warranty. We wanted a 2nd opinion and called Wenzel. Got an appt with them for the same day and did not mention the first opinion we had had. Brian from Wenzel determined that the air intake pipe on our furnace was plugged (which is one cause of flame roll out because there is insufficient draft across the burners into the heat exchanger). We then mentioned the flame roll out so he did further checking to make sure that our heat exchangers was working optimally (by checking CO levels in the furnace room and in the exhaust pipe itself -- all zero). He was able to bypass the problem of the blocked intake pipe and then repeatedly started up the unit and there was no flame roll out. Cost of Wenzel visit = $200.

Everything went great! The sales rep Dan came out and gave us many different options to choose from both on efficency and budget. We scheduled the appointment and they arrived went strait to work replacing everything. They also added an additional heating run to a room that needed it. One thing I really appreciated was I asked if they could remove the outside AC unit first and give me a bit of time to do some minor landscaping adjustments before they put the new one in and they made sure to take care of it. Also, they took care of all the rebates and filled them out and sent them to us to simply sign and mail. I think they are a great organization overall.

Went with another company, but would definitely call them again if the need arises. They were very close on price to the selected contractor, and better than most. The representative was very knowledgeable and professional.

Alright. Didn't complete job in 1 day; then delay in coming back. Good established company though.

Everything went smoothly and quickly with the install. A few months later we had a part that needed replacing which was still under warranty, and that went well, also.

They were prompt and easy to schedule. Came out in morning, thought they fixed it, it went out again and came back right away to fix which was much appreciated.

The Project Manager Dan Dalluhn was amazing! He got back to me very quickly and was able to meet for an appointment. He walked me through the different models and features. He was very knowledgeable and helped me narrow my choices down. The estimate was right in line with what I had gotten from other companies. The customer service is what pushed me over! They were able to quickly get us scheduled for install, which was great. The install took most of the day. The technicians were prompt and courteous. They removed the old furnace/AC and cleaned up after themselves. Dan was around to give final paperwork and answer any questions I had on the equipment. They promptly mailed me all the paperwork for the rebates. It was all filled out and organized! I already received my checks! Great job to everyone at Wenzel! I'll recommend them to everyone and I'll definitely use them for any services in the future.

The system was installed and passed permit inspection. No problems to date. A professionalism demerit was taken because of a competitor's more impressive scientific system sizing process and customer focused efforts to proactively reach out and communicate.

I wanted to upgrade my 27-year old furnace to very high efficiency, and Wenzel did a great job figuring out the best way to do that around my house's existing construction. I also wanted to change my house to a 2-stage heating system so I could heat the lower level separately from the main floor. They did a great job, and it was nice to have everything updated. On an extra note, there was a very MINOR issue that kept my city inspector from giving the final ok for the work that was done. I didn't realize this, and over 18 months later I get a letter from the city telling me I still work done to pass my inspection. Wenzel stood behind their work, and got the situation remedied, even with an inspector who wasn't the easiest to work with. It's dedication like this which makes me very happy to work with them any time again.

It has been excellent. They were very price competitive, acutally lower in price than another place that I investigated.

Ron, a project manager arrived precisely at the appointed time for the estimate. He quickly sized up the job, gave me several options and answered all questions I had and gave me an informal estimate but said he would email me a detailed estimate with options and rebates available from Minnesota Energy Resources. He went back to the office and soon after emailed me an estimate with several options and rebates available and included the cost of the city permits which they got from the city. It was then a matter of me considering these options and calling him back to schedule the installation. Jeremy arrived at the appointed time of 7:30 AM, with the new furnace and associated ducting. He worked without a lunch break and had the new furnace system and thermostat installed and operating by 2:00 PM. The office sent me an invoice with the rebates filled in with the equipment information, all I had to do was fill in my Minnesota Energy Resources account number and personal information before mailing. The only other thing I had to do was schedule a time for the Eagan City inspector to come out to the house to approve the work and the permit. The cost was reasonable and in line with other estimates and no sales pressure at all. Everyone was extremely professional, friendly and helpful. When I went to their office to pay the bill the office staff was very friendly and helpful and even offered me donuts that someone had brought in for the office. I was very happy with the process and the cost and dealing with the pleasant, professional team at Wenzel Heating and Air Conditioning. I would definitely recommend them to others looking to have work done.

They were prompt and got everything installed over two days. They were able to switch my home from a 1-zone to a 2-zone system. The person who gave me the original estimate was on site to make sure all was going as planned - which I really appreciated. They were courteous and everything was very clean when they were finished. I don't think it could have gone much smoother than that! It was a good chunk of change for all this, but we now have a very high efficiency system - and we could tell the difference immediately.

The technician explained to me what he was going to due and why. The detail he used in explaining made it very easy to follow along and understand. He showed me before and after results of the procedures that he preformed. I was amazed at the results! I highly recommend my tech. for his attention to detail and total professionalism!

Dan arrived for our estimate on time and was very professional and knowledgeable. First he examined all of our existing equipment and took measurements. Then we sat down and he explained their products and what they do. He was very informative in regard to energy savings on various brands of air conditioners. He didn't try to pressure sell us into the most expensive unit. Instead he gave us an estimate for a unit that would work for our house. His estimate was $500 less than another estimate and the brand of air conditioner Dan suggested was much better than the other company. So we decided to go with Wenzel. The process of the contract, payment and scheduling went very smoothly. The installer arrived on time on the scheduled day. He was also very professional and knowledgeable. My husband is a Master Electrician so he took care of the electrical part of the installation and the installer worked well with him. Overall it was a very satisfactory experience. We will be replacing our furnace in the future and plan to give Wenzel a call to take care of that too.

They were great. The price was about the same as somebody else, but I just felt very comfortable with the guy. He walked me through the options very clearly and looked at my home and made recommendations. I think the price was fair. I am not looking for the cheapest price, but I think you get what you pay for.

There's nothing quite like trying to sell a house when the temperature dips, and then having your furnace conk out! Wenzel was the one that installed my furnace in 11 years ago, so they were my first choice to call. I was able to get someone out the next day. They had to order a part, so the repair happened one day later - still very ok. Furnace is back up and running VERY well, and I didn't scare off any potential buyers with my cold house.

Deteremined tha the AC unit needed replacement so no charge.

It was fantastic. They did a great job. They were really polite. They came in and did the work right away. They were really prompt. They followed up with us a couple of times. They left us contact information if we need them.

We felt that they gave us a really good service before they actually did the installation. They answered our questions very well and they're willing to put in the time which was different than couple other companies that we had tried. It's the reason we went with them. All of our expectations were met and things went well. We had one follow because our thermostat wasn't performing properly and they came out very quick. They determined that it needed a replacement but they didn't have the parts and so, they had to come back a second time. A couple days later, they set up another appointment and when the part is in, they came and replaced it. It was pretty painless.

We had Dan from Wenzel come out for an estimate for an A/C replacement and he beat the other two contractors(also on Angie's List) by $600 and $1600 for the exact same unit! They all gave me the same literature, Wenzel even has a longer warranty too. Both of the other contractors tried to upsell me on a larger unit for my home, the additional cost would have been about 700 dollars, it would have saved me about $8/year on average under normal usage conditions, totally not worth the additional $700. The only issue I had was a mix-up in the install time, they actually got 2 appointments switched around but it wasn't a problem since we allowed all day for install. They also did a furnace for me the year before and that went excellent also. Best value around.

Really great experience. We love it when a tech really works hard to solve a problem. No BS, no excuses, just honest answers! He even finished by telling us that we should call early in the AC season next year, so they can perform some routine maintainance again.

Installation went very well. The installer put down drop cloths to protect our floor. He also went the extra step to fix our electronic humidifier which was clogged and hadn't worked for some time. He explained all the details on the furnace before picking up after himself. Our expectations were exceeded on the entire process start to finish.

They came out promptly and fixed the problem. They were good.
