We purchased the Angie's List $89 Big Deal from Surface Surgeons, and within a day or two had a call from Greg to schedule our cleaning. Due to the cold weather he had to move our appointment a couple of times but was very proactive in calling several days before as soon as the forecast was in. This was no problem. We have four young kids and it had been a couple of years since we'd had our carpets done, so things were in pretty bad shape...spots on our dining room carpet, water marker drawings on the bedroom floor, fruit yogurt smoothie stain on our sunroom carpet and just general dirtiness on the high traffic areas. Pleased to say that Greg got it ALL OUT. Carpets seriously look good as new (we think they're the originals, ~20 years old). We knew the original Big Deal wouldn't cover all the work we wanted done, Greg was generous to apply it to the largest rooms to keep the extra cost down. The steps were really thoroughly done, both the step and the rise were steamed. Altogether the job, including the green guard which he says will help cut down on the spotting and dirt, cost just about $600. Perhaps a little more than I expected, certainly more than renting a Rug Doctor, but then again I've gone down that road and the time and poor quality of my work wasn't worth it. If this extends the life of our carpets for a few more years, certainly worth it. Greg is a very good guy, very professional, my wife and kids felt very comfortable having him in the home that day. He thoroughly explained everything, moved all furniture, put protective foam pieces under all legs, etc... We were very happy with Surface Surgeons' work.

He was professional and courteous. Talked through options and what to expect on certain stains, etc. He did a very nice job. We would for sure hire him again.

REALLY nice guy, very professional. Got out stains that Zerorez couldn't the last 3 times they were out! In fact, told me that they couldn't be removed. Very impressed! Would definitely use him again & would highly recommend his services.

They cleaned our carpets (stairs, family room, one bedroom). He was courteous, professional and efficient in his work. The only reason for the "B" on punctuality is that he was about an hour later than the promised start time (which was no issue, because he called in advance to let us know of the delay). We will use his services again next time!

After one reschedule due to a job that held him longer at another client, I was very pleased to have Greg show up on Dec. 23 on a bitter cold day. I wasn't sure if it was a factor, but he said it was borderline not going to be feasible, but he didn't want to reschedule on me again. I was very pleased with his workmanship, professionalism and service overall. I'd definitely use him again, and he also noted that they do wood floor cleaning/sealing. My carpets look great -- so cleanest I've seen them in 5 years in this house! I would highly recommend him.

Greg was on time, did a lot of work in a short amount of time and the results were great. Stuff looks like new and he cleaned the tub even though it was not in the work order. I was very pleased with the results and he was personable, reliable and professional. I offered to help move the furniture, but he insisted on doing it himself.

Greg arrived very promptly at the time he committed to. He looked over the carpet in newly purchased home. Identified spots from the previous owners pets. He very thoroughly explained all of the options regarding cleaning or not cleaning (even though - not cleaning was not good for his business). We experienced a true professional that gave us the full story even though it would result in him not cleaning the carpet. - Amazing integrity. Since the initial visit Greg has followed up by calling us back to refer us to people that could help with fixing the flooring from the pet damage. Will use him next time we need carpet cleaned. - Amazing integrity in how he conducts his business.

We set up a time and date that worked for both of us. The job was completed without a hitch. I would us them again.

Great. He arrived a little late but was very knowledgeable in carpet overall. Felt good to have someone who enjoys their work.

We purchased a deal on Angie's list, contacted the provider. They scheduled a visit right away. They arrived on time, spot treated trouble areas, and cleaned the carpets. They gave us some advice on treating pet stains that might occur in future. We did have some areas that looked good right after cleaning, but then got progressively worse over the next few weeks. It made me think that something in the underpad may have leached through to the surface once it got wet. We were eventually able to spot treat those areas ourselves and get them clean. But, overall a good experience.

I wasn't home, but my wife was very pleased with them. They came quite quickly after we called them to schedule an appointment but I don't recall all that. They were prompt, we were slow to do it. We ended up having them clean a sofa too so they actually charged us $100 more. I would use them again.

We hired Surface Surgeons to do both carpet cleaning and couch cleaning--they did a great job on both. Professional, informed, prompt, efficient. The couch we inherited was grubby with lots of spots but had good possibilities. Now it is beautiful, about 5 shades lighter than before! Go Greg! We recommend them highly.

As a new home owner I noticed that my laundry room floor tile had terrible rust stains and after trying high pressure washing twice without using chemicals I was disheartened that I would need to live with the stains or replace the entire floor. One afternoon in May 2013 "The Tub Guy" (Shane) was at my home re-glazing the bathtub and I showed him the laundry room. He immediately contacted the surface surgeon (Gregg) who is "the only one who would know which chemicals to use". Within 10 days the surface surgeon was at my home. I was happy to have him schedule an appointment so quickly and was really impressed with his expertise. He told me that he mixes products together and when he said that I knew he was an expert but I also noticed that he was careful not to harm the tiles as he worked. I cannot tell you how happy I was when Gregg showed me the success he had with using the right chemicals. Can you imagine walking into a laundry room with visible rust in the middle of the floor and having it gone within two hours? Gregg saved me a lot of money, new what he was doing, and was very personable. signed.....HAPPY!

They were on time and very neat and organized. He took good care to make sure our two cats were out of the way (after the machine started that wasn't a problem!). The carpet is over 20 years old so I wasn't expecting miracles. Even so, I was impressed with how much better it looked after he was finished. I appreciated that he took time to explain to me the changes in 'scotch-guard' treatments after I expressed some concern about using it with the cats around.

Everything went well. They did really well. They did some additional services, took some carpets back to their shop, cleaned them, and just delivered them last week. I did not actually have three rooms. I just had one room, and I paid to have my area rugs cleaned. Furniture did not need to be moved. The guy’s name was Greg, and they were on time.

It went very well. The carpet is very clean. Greg Pogue was professional and did what he said he was going to do. This was the first time we have had our carpet cleaned. It was a good experience. We would use this company again.

It went great. Gregg was flexible with his service time, to start after other contractors were done at the house. He identified oil and candle wax stains and was able to get them very clean, although he warned that the oil was probably in the carpet pad and would probably resurface. The carpet in the living room was heavily soiled and he was able to remove those stains. I've used Gregg before and will do so again.

Very good communication before and after the job. It was a move-out clean, and I couldn't be there, he gave me details about what he would do and how he would do it, then called afterward to tell me he was done and it went well. he also gave me good advice about how to care for wool carpet in new house. Very professional.

We were hosting a family Christmas at our home on December 2nd. I called the Tub Guys to see if they could come out and clean my required areas prior to the 2nd. While they were there, I asked if they could possibly clean a recliner and they were more than willing to do that for me and at a very reasonable price I might add! I had a bad experience with another company and my mother referred me to the Tub Guys. My entire family was VERY impressed with how great of a job they did and how nice everything looked. I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. I highly recommend the Tub Guys to anyone needing their carpets cleaned.
