They needed to cancel the first appointment due to equipment failure. Came a little late on the rescheduled date. While the owner was very friendly, responsive and nice I was never sure what the actual cost of the service should have been before the Angie Lists deal. Not really clearly outlined so I wasn't sure If I was getting a good deal or not. Also, stains on my carpet did not come up well, and there was a stain created on the downstairs carpet, perhaps due to a chemical reaction. The owner has contacted me and he was very nice and very willing to come and try and fix the stain, but I have been too busy to reply with a date and time. Kind of a hassle. My biggest thing though is that I really don't know if I got a deal or not.

It worked out pretty good. My interaction with them was okay. I didn't spend more than the Big Deal.

Greg Pogue did everything super well! He contacted me promptly after I bought the service on Angie's List. He showed up when he said that he would. He was very professional and explained everything that he was going to do. He was very honest about what he could and could not do. I was skeptical about his being able to get the pieces clean, but I was very pleasantly surprised; he did a beautiful job! I would definitely use him again. I will call him when I need my carpets cleaned. I would rate him an A+.

We purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for the kitchen work and added on the stair cleaning on the day of service. This was an exceptional deal. Greg was friendly and professional during every step of the process. We were able to schedule within 2 weeks of the deal purchase. Greg arrived on time, presented his card before entering the house, and removed his shoes on the outside steps. He explained the entire process, checked in with us along the way as each step was completed, and offered simple suggestions for how to care for the floors to help best maintain their condition. I will definitely contact Surface Surgeons again when the need arises.

He arrived on time and did an excellent job of explaining what he was going to do, along with details about the carpeting. He gave options for more service, but said nothing when those options were declined. Carpets look great, and would definitely use him again!!

They were fine. They did a good job. They couldn’t get some of the stains out, but that wasn’t unexpected, and they were upfront about that possibility.

Greg did have to reschedule and then was a little late, however he did call to let me know. My carpets were cleaned and I did purchase the scotch guard, which I am very glad I did because two days after the cleaning the neighbor's dog ran in through an open door with muddy feet right up the stairs. I let the dirt dry and it vacuumed right up the next morning.

The carpet was cleaned well. As is often the case additional services were suggested at a higher price. We agreed to just one and the work was completed as described.

Great. Professional. Personable. Carpet looked great, patch job is excellent. The only problem we had was trying to schedule the service.

Arrived with small cleaning machines, but no steam. He proceed to announce how good he was at carpet cleaning. He worked for 1 1/2 hours. We were unimpressed with the results. We tested the cleaning by rubbing a towel on the "cleaned" carpet. It came up with a lot of dirt. The office was little different after than before. It seemed like the little machines weren't up to the task.

It went fantastic. WOW. Is all I have to say. They did a pretreatment, they actually scrubbed the stains and did other stuff afterwords which I can't remember the words for. But I have attempted cleaning on these rugs 2 previous times over the last 5 years and nothing compares to the quality of their work. My carpets look soo much better after a variety of pet stains and dark spots on my stairs. The two workers Shawn and another guy...can't remember his name..were both utterly charming, serious about their work. I actually enjoyed their company while they worked magic on my carpet. Will no doubt use them again.

They did a really good job. He was prompt, very efficient. He came in an did his job.

They did a good job. We had a family/living room cleaned and a hallway cleaned. It only took a couple of hours.

The service went well. He didn't get all my stains out. They did okay, but some stains. The interaction with them was good. I did not spend more than the $89 of the work. He was responsive, he called me right away.

The provider cleaned my carpets well. He explained how to keep the carpets in good shape in the future. He informed me of exactly what he was doing, and what materials he was using on the carpet. This was a concern, as we have a small dog. Everything went well. The only "B" rating was for Punctuality. He was late and did not call. He was 1 hour late. Other than that, I highly recommend thier services.

I was very happy with the service and the owner's demeanor, knowledge and expertise regarding carpet cleaning. I will definitely use him again when needed.

The provider arrived to do the job. He vaccumm first, cleaned all requested areas (some with paint stains and who knows what else). He also tried to clean up a candle burnt area. He did an excellent job and I will definitie use the company again. I later sent him a "thank you text" because the job was done so well.

Greg was very professional in communicating before, during and after his work. He explained why he was delayed in arriving for the cleaning. He also explained the status of my 25-year-old beige nylon carpet and all the interesting stains it had. He told me about red Kool-Aid stains, bleached-out spots, spaghetti stains and a few mystery stains, and how best to work on them. He clarified all potential extra costs and suggested that I leave some stains as they were, because he could not guarantee a perfect job eliminating them and/or that the extra work would be expensive. He worked quickly and quietly, and the results were so good that I asked him to come back and take on the Kool-Aid and Bleach stains. The next day — my luck — I managed to add some rather spectacular soy sauce stains to my newly cleaned old carpet. Greg just finished the impossible task of taking out soy sauce, Kool-Aid and mystery stains, and this time he was able to arrive precisely on time. He also redyed the carpet to eliminate the bleach stains. No one could believe this is a 25-year-old carpet. Beige! I can't imagine that there could be a better carpet cleaner anywhere than Surface Surgeons.

Better than I expected. Greg was great at telling us what he could do, what it would cost, how long it would take, what he couldn't fix. In the end it was even better and cheaper than his estimate. Very impressed!!

I am updating this review as I think there was an error in transmission. I WOULD use Greg again. There were a couple stains that did not come out of the carpet when it was first cleaned. We called Greg and he came out quickly. In retrospect, the lighting the first time may have disguised the stains. Second attempt - the carpet looks perfect. I was very satisfied with the work.

Excellent, he went above and beyond his cleaning duties. Very meticulous and aimed to please. He explained everything in detail on what he was going to do and did a great job on some tough stains (ie the stairs). They look great!
