Nystrom Moving & Storage

I enjoyed this crew and company and would defiantly recommend them to others. They were prompt, fast and very courteous. We moved from a house into a smaller apartment with a piano and large furniture. I also had them move some items to the garage. They were more than kind about helping me.

The moving company came to our condo unit in downtown Minneapolis and moved everything from our 10th floor unit to our new three-story house in St. Paul quickly, affordably, and without damaging or losing anything. Prior to the move, a representative from the company came and saw what needed to be done and gave us an estimate which was about 10% higher than the actual cost. We have never had a moving company come in under budget, which is especially amazing given that the estimate was lower than what we expected it to be in the first place. Since our move, I have recommended them several times to others.

As we have only used Nystrom to move I am not sure how moving companies typically charge. Nystrom charged $150 an hour for 3 movers. That seems pretty expensive but like I said, I am not sure how it compares. However, the entire job only took 3.75 hours and we also left a generous tip.They also brought us boxes to use and loaded up our clothes into wardrobe boxes (which were pretty beaten up, they should invest in some new ones).Hopefully we will not be moving again but if we do we'd call Nystrom again.

They were flexible with us throughout the process. They were also punctual, professional, reliable, and I would use their services again.

Everything went very well. We have no negatives. We would highly recommend calling Jayne to discuss your moving needs and concerns.

Movers were flexible. We changed the start time twice; no problem. Two men arrived on time. Ron and will were pleasant, polite, and very cooperative as we had items removed from 2 floors of one house, and a sofa from another house. They were careful with the items being moved, and of the woodwork, walls and lawn. I have used this company before for a much larger move, and I will use them again, in the next month or two.

Worth every penny. Brandon and his guys were as fast and efficient as a crew could be. Very polite as well. Original estimate was 6-8 hours, ended up being 10 hours. They took a break (1/2 hour or so) to get some food to eat for lunch, which I should have expected, but I'm not entirely sure that I should have been charged in full for that time. That said, it was a great move and I would highly recommend hiring this company to move you.

The woman on the phone was very nice and helpful. She gave me an estimate and set up a time. The people who showed up were the keystone cops of piano movers. They grunted and swore and complained about how heavy the paino was. Hello. It's a piano. That's why we pay people almost $200.00 an hour to move it. I would have forgiven the language and complaining if they had done a good job. The most unforgiveable sin was rolling my upright piano across my 115 year old oak floors without any cardboard or other protection. I now have a distinct arc embedded in my foyer. By the time I saw what they were doing, it was too late. Their comment was,"Don't worry, we're almost done here". When they arrived at the other house, they couldn't figure out how to get the piano into the living room. My son had to help them twice because they were losing control of it. In the end, after much arguing, they turned the piano on its side and moved it that way.

The crew was on time, very courteous and worked carefully so walls and floors were not damaged. The estimated cost was low (but from discussions with friends, I understand this happens with all companies). I would definitely recommend them to others and use them again myself.

Excellent!!! They showed up on time, were very efficient and professional. Wrapped sectional couch and moved in through small doorway without damage. Protected doorways and floors. Worked together well as a team.

The movers were very careful with moving the furniture and were amazing at maneuvering some big, heavy pieces into their final location in the second story of my new home.

WE HAD LARGE EXPENSIVE FURNITURE THAT CAME THROUGH WITHOUT A SCRATCH AFTER THEIR PROFESSIONAL DISASSEMBLY & ASSEMBLY. NOTHING MISSING VERY PLEASED WITH THE PROCESS & RESULTS.

THE WOMAN I SPOKE TO ON THE PHONE WAS POLITE AND WORKED HARD TO ACCOMMODATE US ON SUCH SHORT NOTICE. THE GENTLEMAN AND TWO TEENAGERS THAT CAME WERE RESPECTFUL AND CAREFUL.

WE THINK NYSTROM IS A GREAT COMPANY! THE MANAGEMENT IS RESPONSIBLE AND RESPONSIVE AND THE MOVERS THEMSELVES DO A GREAT JOB WITH A WONDERFUL ATTITUDE OF HELPFULNESS AND FRIENDLINESS. WE HAVE ALREADY RECOMMENDED THEM TO OUR CHILDREN AND WILL CONTINUE TO RECOMMEND.

THE MOVERS WERE LATE DUE TO A MORNING JOB, BUT JAYNE CALLED US TO LET US KNOW. THERE WERE THREE GUYS AND THE ONLY TIME THEY STOPPED WAS TO GET MORE GATORADE BETWEEN HOUSES. THEY WERE FRIENDLY, EFFICIENT, AND CAREFUL. WE HAD SOME DIFFICULT BEDS TO TAKE APART AND PUT TOGETHER. THEY WERE ABLE TO DO IT WITH NO PROBLEM.

THE MOVING WAS QUICK, EFFICIENT AND DONE WITHOUT CAUSING DAMAGE TO MY FURNITURE. THREE PEOPLE WERE SENT AND THE MOVE TOOK ALMOST 5 HOURS. I WAS ABLE TO USE MY ANGIE'S LIST COUPON FOR $25 OFF. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO MY FRIENDS (AND I ALREADY HAVE.) THE ONLY CONCERN I HAD WAS WITH RETURN PHONE CALLS. IT WAS NECESSARY TO CALL BACK A FEW TIMES TO GET A HOLD OF SOMEONE TO ASK A QUESTION AFTER MY MOVE WAS SCHEDULED. HOWEVER, INITIALLY I TALKED TO JAYNE AND SHE WAS VERY HELPFUL IN SUGGESTING WHAT TIME I SHOULD SCHEDULE THE MOVE AND HOW MANY MOVERS I WOULD NEED.

NYSTROM'S NEVER RETURNED THE PHONE CALL TO PROVIDE AN ESTIMATE. BESTER BROS. MOVING, ALSO ON ANGIE'S LIST, RETURNED THE CALL & SUPPLIED A REASONABLE PRICE. A REPORT FOR BESTER BROS. MOVING WILL BE SUBMITTED AFTER THE WORK IS FINISHED THE FIRST WEEK OF JUNE, 2005.

THE TWO YOUNG MEN THAT DID THE MOVING WERE NOT REAL PROFESSIONAL AND DID NOT KNOW HOW TO MOVE WELL.

EXCELLENT EXPERIENCED CREW OF 2. WAS EFFICIENT, PROFESSIONAL, AND WILLING TO ADJUST TO CIRCUMSTANCES. ALSO THE ATTITUDE OF THE 2 MEN HELPED EVERYONE RELAX ON A VERY TRYING & EXHAUSTING DAY. THEY WERE ALWAYS POSITIVE AND LAID BACK. AND DID AN OUTSTANDING JOB!

THEIR WORKERS WERE EFFICIENT AND ON TIME. THEY WERE CAREFUL WITH OUR STUFF AND OFFERED US ADVICE ABOUT HOW TO SAFETY MOVE SEVERAL BREAKABLE ITEMS. WE GREATLY APPRECIATED THEIR WILLINGNESS TO HOLD OUR BELONGINGS ON THEIR TRUCK BETWEEN OUR MOVE OUT AND OUR MOVE INTO OUR NEW HOME. THEIR WORKERS COMPLAINED A BIT ABOUT TAKING APART AND REASSEMBLING SOME OF OUR FURNITURE, AND THEY DID NOT HAVE THE BEST TOOLS FOR THE JOB.

MY UNCERTAIN SITUATION - MEANING NOT KNOWING EXACTLY WHAT SORT OF SERVICES I MAY NEED AND EXACTLY WHEN I MAY NEED THEM - HAD ME ON THE PHONE WITH JAYNE NYSTROM FOR QUITE AWHILE. SHE WAS EXTREMELY HELPFUL, KNOWLEDGEABLE, AND ACTUALLY PROVIDED OPTIONS I HADN'T CONSIDERED. WHEN THE DAY CAME TO SCHEDULE THE TRUCK, I CALLED AT THE LAST MINUTE AND ASKED THEM TO COME THE NEXT DAY (A.M.) INSTEAD. JAYNE WAS NOT ONLY ACCOMMODATING, BUT ALSO VERY UNDERSTANDING AND IN THE END THE COST WAS VERY COMPETITIVE FOR THEIR TIME, AND I WOULD DEFINITELY USE THEM IN THE FUTURE FOR A FULL-HOUSE MOVE. ** PLEASE NOTE: I BELIEVE THE ''INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR'' STRUCTURE OF JAYNE'S COMPANY DIRECTLY IMPACTS THEIR SERVICE. EACH TRUCK DRIVER (FOREMAN) TAKES OWNERSHIP OF THE TRUCK, THE CLIENT'S POSSESSIONS, AND OF HIS/HER TIME, AND THAT WAY THERE IS NO ''PASSING THE BUCK'' WHEN UNEXPECTED SITUATIONS ARISE. THE TWO GUYS WHO ASSISTED MY APPLIANCE MOVE WERE EXTREMELY EFFICIENT, PROFESSIONAL AND MOTIVATED.

THEY WERE AS HELPFUL AS WE COULD HAVE ASKED FOR. THEY STAYED AS LONG AS WE NEEDED TO MAKE SURE THE PIECE WAS IN EXACTLY THE PLACE WHERE WE WANTED IT, SINCE IT WAS TOO HEAVY FOR US TO REPOSITION OURSELVES.

RIGHT ON TIME, FRIENDLY AND KNEW EXACTLY HOW TO MOVE EVEN THE HEAVIEST OF ITEMS. I WOULD USE THEM AGAIN.

THEY WERE PROMPT, HARD WORKING, COURTEOUS, HELPFUL AND THEY WERE VERY CAREFUL WITH ALL OF OUR THINGS. THEY MOVED OUR PIANO VERY CAREFULLY. OUR SONS WERE THERE HELPING US AND THEY COULD NOT BELIEVE HOW SMOOTH AND CAREFUL THE COMPANY WAS WHEN HANDLING THE PIANO. WE WOULD RECOMMEND THEM VERY HIGHLY. BILL AND RAY WERE OUR MOVERS.
