Nystrom Moving & Storage

Pretty well. Pre-move estimate was exceeded by $3000, so that was a big disappointment. A few items, one expensive, went missing. Follow-up was great and they did send a crew out to relocate a few heavy items without charge. It was a large crew mostly experienced but we overheard a few men claiming our tip was too cheap even though it was $500.

Wow great job. I had a few estimates from other companies. Nystroms came in lower and had that "good feeling" that it was going to go smooth. I did, and next move I do you will be getting the call!!

They were a great crew to work with. They were on time cheerful and careful.

We agreed on 3 movers- only 2 showed up. They were not careful with our possessions. They did not wrap the furniture as other movers do. They broke a bookcase and a lamp. And refused to move two small lamps claiming they were too antiques which they were not ? both were inexpensive and had successfully been moved many times before by other movers

- when I booked the service, I asked for 2 men crew. when i called the day before the move to confirm, i was told i was getting a 3 men crew. they declined to decrease that to 2 men, saying "the guys worked as a team" and "it was going to cost me the same anyway". i accepted, considering that i had no choice (needed to move the following day) - my husband handled the move itself, said the guys were very polite and prompt - when it came time to pay, they asked for a 3% extra fee for us to pay with a credit card. that was an unpleasant surprise. we were not informed of that ahead of time. we ended up paying cash. SO: make sure you confirm your request ahead of time. clarify the payment method ahead of time

I was not as organized as I had hoped,so there was more for them to move than originally planned. These three young men pitched in without hesitation and cheerfully got the job done! I highly recommend their service, they were friendly, courteous and efficient!!

Great Experience. They were punctual professional efficient careful with my staff & nice guys. I would definitely use them again.

Here's what I appreciated about their service. First, when I called, I had to leave a message, but the owner (Jane) called me back in a very short period of time. I appreciated the quick follow up. In the initial move, it was only a couple hours of work to unload the moving truck we brought from Chicago. They worked quickly, yet carefully with our belongings and didn't mark up the walls in the process. They assembled bed and other furniture as needed. In the next, larger move, they first brought the right amount of guys to efficiently do the move. The people who were moving out of the house we bought were not as lucky. They had horrible movers who couldn't have planned how to navigate their way out of a paper bag, much less pack and move a house! Not even planning for the correct amount of trucks! Our movers, on the other hand, had it under control and again, were efficient and kept all guys busy in the move. I don't like to pay for 'idle' help at all! Thanks, Nystrom, for your good customer service and good workers. It made the move much easier! No items were damaged or broken - thank you!

Joe didn't show up for the estimate nor has he returned two calls and VM's that I left. I'd like to hear why he didn't show up for the appointment or return my subsequent calls. Also troublesome is the unrealistically low quote at the onset.

They arrived on time, introduced themselves, wrapped the piano, moved it onto the truck and followed me to my daughters home. They unloaded it and placed in its spot, gave me the receipt and left. Very pleasant experience, cost was exactly as estimated. I would highly recommend them.

I overheard one of the movers remark that he knew from experience how to handle antique rocking chairs. I was very happy to hear that.

Nystrom came to my place on three separate occaisions to make this move happen. They were always prompt even early and didn't charge me for every single second. Id din't feel like they were trying to gouge me or overcharge me. It was easy to negotiate over a disagreement about time. They went with my version of the story. The office and the movers were both compromising and kind. I felt very well taken care of. They were better movers than packers. A few small things were broken because the packing service was a little general. I organized things carefully but the order was lost which made it more time consuming later to unpack. I still have not located one or two items. ( But this may just how things go when a company packs your stuff for you). But I have had another company ServPro pack and move me and they were better all around. They also cost twice as much. Nystrom does a great job of being on time, packing with lightenting speed and moving your stuff carefully. They do not do so well with the small little details but the result is that the job takes less time and will cost you less money. If you want to pay for a perfect move in which all the boxes are put on inventory list this is not your company. If you want a great move that is safe, friendly, easy to schedule and exectute mostly without any large mishaps this is your company. They were done so fast with the packing I could hardly beilieve it. Throughout the move they were bot flexible and professional.( this is a rare and awesome combination) My move was complex and required constant adjustment and shifting of plans for the moment. They helped me get it done and hey were willing to change plans at the last moment adding days shifting times to acomodate my schedule and to make the move happen easily. I would definitely recommend this company to friends and commrades.

Firstly, Jane at Nystrom was great. She was very prompt in her responses and provided a very fair quote that met our needs. Both crews arrived on time and worked very efficiently. We generally had good experiences with both crews and were pleased with the services they provided. The only issue we had was with one crew tracking dirty snow through the apartment. I understand that taking shoes off or putting covers on can be burdensome, but I got a bit annoyed with the one crew because I had to clean up after them. Fortunately, the mess was not that severe and easy to clean up. Even with that said, we were pleased with Nystrom and would utilize their services again in the future.

I called on a Saturday for move to be scheduled ASAP. Call was returned on Monday. I was given a move date only 2 days away. Office staff was courteous. Truck and 3 employees arrived at 8:30 as scheduled. They were efficient and friendly. They joked around among themselves, but this did not interfere with their work. They worked as a team. They moved some items 2 times, as I changed my mind about locations. They put beds and dressers together without asking. They worked for 4 hours without observed breaks. The move was totally satisfactory. They were respectful of the property. There was no damage. I had used this company in January of this year, again on Wednesday and would recommend them to others.

We had hired a two man crew for two hours. I confirmed the day before to make sure that we would have movers at 10:30 a.m. The movers did not show up until 12:30 p.m., two hours late. We called approximately every fifteen minutes for two hours. Every time we would call they would stay "They will be there in two minutes". My husband even waited outside for quite awhile, they finaly arrived two hours late with a three man crew. I was shocked when I got the bill for what was origionaly going to be a $220 move, our bill was $370 because they had without our consent or knowlage sent a three man crew. Having the movers arrive so late was very stressful we did not even known it they were coming they were so late. The movers themselves did a good job but I would never work with this company again and would not recommend their services.

All with whom we came in contact were courteous, considerate, friendly and very professional. The move was without incident - basically flowless. We would definitely use the again.

they did a super job on a very cold day. They were just great and came on a Sunday

I called and spoke with one of the family members that own this long term, family owned moving company. I was so happy to reach a real human being and her conversation made me feel confident in my choice to use them. On the day of moving I was pretty stressed... Wondering how the move would go in the dang freezing weather, but I need not have worried. Toby and his 2 guys arrived on time and moved everything I required within 3 hours, start to finish which included having to disasemble a futon, dining table and fit that huge couch up a steep flight of stairs with little room to move about. I think it was minus 4 degrees that day, cold as h*** with some light flaky snow as well. I found the team of movers very pleasent and actually fun to work with. They were so light on their feet and professional and joked between themselves and moved at an incredible speed. At first I sort of wonderewd when they arrived if they could handle this, considering it was very icy to the street from my home and then the townhouse had the difficulty of a steep entrance and narrow hallway up to the main floor from the street level. They had it down and used quilts and covered any slippery areas to and from the house and truck. These guys nailed it. Toby, was the foreman. Once they looked around a bit and stood there a couple minutes they suddenly got into action. These guys were faster then any movers I'd ever met and I'd been a real estate broker for years. It was fairly amazing how well put together that team was. Very respectful of not breaking or scraping anything. My last experience with a move back in 2009 had taken twice as long and the team back then had argued amongst themselves the whole time. This move with Nystrom Movers and Toby at the helm was fantastic. I love working with a family owned and operated company. It made my move so much better then I'd expected. It took 3 men 3 hours. Perfect!

Great! We contacted them with only two days notice. They came on a VERY cold Sunday, arrived on time, and got the job done faster than quoted. They were very nice and professional. Will hire them again when it is time to move from the storage unit to the new house.

Move from one apartment to another, including a stop in between to deliver some large furniture items.|They do an excellent job and take good care of fragile items. I have used them for a move into my house and for an office/home over and three apartment moves. Always pleased with their work.

Prior to the move was asked if wardrobe boxes would be required and told them no, but was brought anyway. This took up a lot of wasted space in the truck which could of been used for the last of the items that needed to be moved. The last of these items were transferred in 3 personal vehicles. All in all they were on time and professional.

Three young lads moved the house on two trucks. Personable and hard working. A couple of minor issues, one of which was the decision to carry a desk up the stairs when an alternative path via a sliding glass door then up a hill to the truck. The ding'd up the ceiling on the stairs which added to the work load for the painter. There was also an issue that could have been major. The dinning room table had one leg separate. It was made with multiple pieces of wood glued together and during the ride in the truck it separated. Mr. Nystrom came out to our new home and picked up the table, had it repaired, and brought it back.

The three-man crew that moved me never stopped moving. No smoke breaks, no dawdling. They were helpful, efficient and very careful. I've already recommended them to others!

They did a fine job. They were polite, helpful, very careful with our furniture and strong. We would recommend them to anyone.

Great. Nystrom showed up on time, reviewed the move with my wife and began loading. They were very careful with both the items and our home. Once at the townhome they located our household goods in the proper area and moved a few items when we changed our minds on location. Again they communicated very well with us and were extremely careful not to damage any items or the house. Move took almost 8 hours and two trips and the crew worked steadily the whole time on site. We have used Nystrom on several occasions and they are always great.
