Description of Work: We did not have any work done by this company, but our neighbors did. Our neighbor had his garage, which is on our property line, painted. The young men who scraped and painted the garage, partly in our yard and partly in our neighbor's yard were so, so, so polite and courteous. They were clean and neat and tried to do as little damage as possible to our shrubbery. They even worried that one of our dogs had somehow escaped (because they had readjusted our small fencing), and came to the back door to make sure everyone was secure. We were really impressed, and will think about using this company if ever we need painting done.

Description of Work: Great job painting our 3 story house. Very happy with end result. Nice people to work with. Only complaint was that they weren't quite as careful with the bushes around our house as we would have liked.

Description of Work: MPP's estimate was detailed and easy to understand. They offered additional services like gutter and window cleaning and replacing broken panes, but did not press me to accept those services. They did not object at all when at the last minute, I decided to save some money by painting some removable windows myself. That flexibility was nice. (Another painter wouldn't even touch the job, told me to get vinyl siding. And yet MPP's estimate, while not cheap, was much lower than getting siding.) | |Ed told me in May that they could not get to my house before August or September but they communicated with me a couple of times over the summer and in September they started on my house (actually my elderly parents' house). | |Before painting this neglected 65-year-old house, MPP did minor and major wood repairs which made the house look much better. I told them my main and trim color on Day 1 but John gave me a chance to change my mind - painted one end of the house so I could see what the colors really looked like on the building. Once they started, they were there every day and/or communicated with me every day until the job was done. They had access to the house in my absence and treated it with consideration. They even swept leaves off my driveway just before they left!

Description of Work: Ed Gross responded to my inquiry very quickly. I described the project,to power wash the stucco and paint the exterior trim of my house, and |Ed said he was booking out into the fall and asked if I was still interested in having the estimate completed. Since I want to have the painting job done this summer, I declined the estimate. Ed gave me a referral for a painter that had trained with him in the past who was starting a new painting company. Ed was very helpful, prompt and professional. I will definitely contact him for future painting projects.

 + -1 moreTHE CREW CHIEF, JOHN, WAS VERY COMPREHENSIVE IN HIS APPROACH TO GETTING THE HOUSE COMPLETED ON TIME. THE JOB PERFORMED BY HIM AND HIS TEAM WAS OUTSTANDING. THE HOUSE LOOKS TREMENDOUS AND I'M SO PLEASED I CHOSE TO PAINT IT INSTEAD OF HAVING IT SIDED. I WOULD HIRE MERRIAM PARK PAINTERS AGAIN FOR A SIMILAR JOB. THEY ARE VERY THOROUGH AND PROFESSIONAL.
Description of Work: ENTIRE EXTERIOR OF HOUSE SCRAPED, PRIMED AND PAINTED. REGLAZED AND REPLACED WINDOWS WHEN NEEDED, PAINTED ALL WINDOWS AND DOORS.

 + -1 moreFIRST OF ALL, THE QUALITY OF WORKMANSHIP WAS EXCELLENT. IF I COULD GIVE MPP AN A+ FOR QUALITY OF WORK I WOULD. HOWEVER, THE FINAL BILL CAME IN 35% OVER THE BID. IN FAIRNESS TO MPP, THE BID DID STATE THAT TWO COATS WAS STANDARD AND ANYTHING IN EXCESS WOULD BE CHARGED AT $40/HOUR PLUS MATERIALS. AND I BELIEVE THAT IT TOOK THE EXTRA 26 HOURS (WE USED VERY DIFFICULT COLORS FOR COVERAGE AND MID-QUALITY PAINT) BUT I EXPECT THAT A PAINTING PROFESSIONAL SHOULD BE ABLE TO TELL IF A JOB WILL TAKE EXTRA WORK AND INCLUDE THAT COST IN THE BID. MOREOVER, I VERBALLY AUTHORIZED UP TO $800 OVER THE ORIGINAL BID, BUT WHEN I RECEIVED THE BILL IT WAS $1165 OVER. TO ME, THIS REPRESENTS FAIR PROFESSIONALISM, THOUGH MPP WAS VERY CLEAN AND COURTEOUS. BASICALLY, I THINK THERE IS A CHANCE THAT MPP DELIBERATELY UNDERBID THE JOB. IF OTHERS ON ANGIE'S LIST HAVE HAD THIS SAME EXPERIENCE, I WOULD STAY AWAY FROM MPP. IF, IN OTHER JOBS, THEY STAYED CLOSE TO THE BID, I WOULD STRONGLY RECOMMEND MPP.

 + 1 moreEXCEPTIONAL! ALWAYS MID PRICED AND ALWAYS COME OUT THREE TIMES TO MAKE SURE EVERYTHING TURNED OUT ALL RIGHT. THE OWNER CAME OUT THE LAST TIME AND I HAD JUST HAD SOME BUSHES CUT BACK AND THE OWNER SAW SOME STUFF THAT NEEDED TO BE PICKED UP. INSTEAD OF HAVING SOME KID COME BACK AND DO IT HE JUST DID IT HIMSELF RIGHT THEN AND THERE. VERY CUSTOMER ORIENTED.
Description of Work: THE JOB WAS TO REPAIR THE WHOLE LEFT SIDE OF MY HOUSE. THEY REPLACED ALL OF THE CEDAR SHAKE ON THE LEFT SIDE OF MY HOUSE, AND THE GUTTERING AS WELL. THEY DID A LOT OF CARPENTRY WORK AS WELL. THEY DID THE MOLDING BETWEEN THE CEDAR SHAKE AS WELL AS THE ROOF LINE.

 + 0 moreWE HAD A VERY POSITIVE EXPERIENCE WITH THIS COMPANY. THEIR BID WAS VERY COMPETITIVE, AND THEY WERE FLEXIBLE IN THEIR PRICING (WHICH WE REQUESTED, DUE TO UNCERTAINTY ABOUT THE DIFFICULTY OF REMOVING THE WALLPAPER). THEY SHOWED UP WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD, USED LOTS OF DROP CLOTHS AND PLASTIC TO PROTECT EVERYTHING, AND WERE VERY COURTEOUS. WHEN A PROBLEM CAME UP WITH THE PAINT NOT ADHERING WELL IN ONE OF THE ROOMS, THEY CAME BACK PROMPTLY AND REPAINTED THAT ROOM FOR NO CHARGE. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM.
