Kok was very responsive and promptly came over to my place to give me an estimate on the work. After we agreed a price, we set a date for the work. Kok and a colleague picked up my vanity from local hardware store and brought it to my house and completed all the work very efficiently and timely manor. The guys did an excellent job and Kok was a very nice, down to earth person, to talk to about plumbing and all things in general. He is now my go to guy for all things plumbing related. My 1998 gas water heater suddenly started sounding like a singing tea kettle about to explode whenever the hot water was in use in my 1980 home. "End of life?" one friend joked. Of course, this happened on a holiday weekend. Of course it did. I checked for providers closest to me and Kok Lee popped up, among others. "NO TRAVEL CHARGES." Kok Lee wrote. "NO SERVICE FEE. NO EXTRA CHARGE FOR AFTER HOURS SERVICE." What?? I couldn't believe it! That's unheard of these days, right? Mr. Kok Lee, despite or maybe because he was a one-man operation, was also very quick to respond to my initial e-mail, telling me it didn't sound like an emergency, but that he would happy to come and check it out if that would make me feel better -- even though it was Sunday of Memorial Day weekend! And you know what? He did! Get this: He was on time even though my street/neighborhood/city are all having major construction detours this summer! Wow! So he checked out the water heater, determined (as he suspected) it was just some mineral build-up. Although I want to buy a new, more efficient, better water heater -- or at least I need to start researching water heaters/saving for one -- I also need a new furnace and a new central ac unit. So it was very, very great that Kok Lee did not try to sell me anything today He was, however, knowledgeable about the new water heater rules that went into effect in April 2015, so it was great to hear details from an expert about what I should look for as I shop. At the end of his short visit, I asked Kok Lee what I owed him. Guess what? "NO CHARGE," he said. "Who are you, an angel?" I asked as he drove away. How often do plumbers give us happy endings? You know the answer to that, I am sure. So: From now on, I will only work with Kok Lee. Please do the same! You have my highest recommendation, Mr. Kok Lee. Most people try to take advantage of not-handy, single moms like me. I am glad to know there are still people like Kok Lee in this world. He has 17 years of experience, too, so he knows his stuff. HIre him!

The stud rusted on the side of the toilet and broke off Kok retreaded it and fixed it like new.Excellent work.

Mr. Lee came over the next day. The plumbing for the kitchen drain was recently installed by a friend. I thought it was leaking in two places but, Mr Lee determined where it was and re-did all of the new pipes, just in case.

We accidently turned off the gas instead of the water when we were replacing a washer in the bathroom sink. We were worried about the gas water heater after the gas was back on and called 3 plumbers. Kok answered and made arrangements to come over in an hour. He came, checked the water heater and didn't charge for the call.

I needed to disconnect and remove the gas feeder line to our dryer temporarily so that I could cut a hole in the basement ceiling above where the line was mounted., I generally knew what to do and bought the supplies I needed but my wife get nervous because it was gas and wanted to get a plumber involved. So I called Kok Lee, who had done highly satisfactory plumbing work for me once before. Mr. Lee came over the next day to give me an estimate. When he looked at the line, he told me he thought I could do the work myself. He tested me on my knowledge of how to go about it and gave me some suggestions. He told me that he would be over in 20 minutes if I needed him. And he wouldn't take a penny for his consultation! I then removed the line without any problem. I can't speak highly enough about Mr. Lee!

I called them during business hours and someone answered the phone. They scheduled me an appointment that fit my schedule, and they arrived in my house on time. They gave me a 1 year warranty and so far the bathroom has not leaked. I would recommend anyone to use their service. They are dependable and the work they do is really good. Kok and Doug did an awesome job digging up the floor and installed a new pipe. Huge job and they worked hard to get the job done right and fast. Great team.

After checking Angie'e List, I saw the great reviews Mr. Lee had received and gave him a call. He was busy, but made an appointment to come by later that day, About half an hour before the appointment time, he called to let me know the work he was doing was taking longer than he thought and asked if we could reschedule. I explained that I had turned off the main water valve and couldn't turn it back on until the problems were fixed. He agreed to come over as previously scheduled. He arrived within a few minutes of the original appointment and spent about 10 minutes examining the problem. He then gave me an estimate ($350 plus parts) to replace the faucet and p-trap. We then talked for a few minutes and he told me, based on my experience level, that he thought I could do the job myself. I was stunned, but he finally convinced me to give it a try with a promise that he would return if I couldn't finish it. He wrote out exactly(!) what parts to get at the hardware store along with advice on what kind of faucet to get to replace the old one, and left. His charge for an hour round trip drive and half an hour of expert advice? NOTHING! He wouldn't accept even a token fee for his time and good advice. Following Mr. Lee's directions, I successfully replaced the faucet and p-trap. In the process, I figured out why his estimate seemed a bit high. (There were a few complications in getting the old parts out, connecting the new parts, and working within the confines of the very small sink pedestal.) After completing the work myself, I considered his estimate to be VERY fair. A few comments he had made while evaluating the leaks made sense and helped me deal with the removal/installation problems. His advice on what kind of replacement faucet to get proved very useful and the whole household is much happier with our "new" faucet. Mr. Lee is one of those professionals who goes the extra mile to give professional service. I will gladly call him for any major plumbing projects I have in the future,

They got in touch with me right away to schedule the service but unfortunately they do not service my area. I have requested a refund from Angie's List.

Communication was poor. Once they came, they over charges tremendously. I had 2 faucets replaced. The materials totaled around $150, but they charged $775 to do the work and cover the supplies. They never provided an itemized invoice as I requested and it was absolutely a rotten deal. He quoted me $3800 to change my galvanized pipes replaced in my house and my neighbor had 3 faucets replaced and all her galvanized pipes replaced and it all came to $1500 with another plumber. I was totally ripped off. Not only that, but what is the use of Angie's list if this is what I end up with? I'd be better off getting good old fashioned word of mouth referrals than using this service!

Arrived on time for appt, gave estimate of each repair, and completed all repairs. Very polite and easy to work with!

Mr Lee was very interested in solving the problem at a reasonable price. He had to go out to get parts but came right back. He gave me the parts at cost. The faucet had been leaking for years and the cost of the water was going sky high. I had another plumber out several times and he thought he would probably have to take the wall out and it would cost a lot. Mr Lee was very reasonable in comparison and I still have my wall.

Came on time, since it was a two-man job, it took longer than he was planning. Like that he didn't get angry or frustrated or use foul language. He is an extremely kind and patient man, doing the job in an economical manner, yet to code. Doesn't try to rip you off--as honest as they come!

He showed me how to read the city water meter. Figured out it was the well water that was dripping outside. Showed me how to turn that off. It took him awhile to figure out the mess we have, but was extremely kind and patient. He was only out to give an estimate. He refused to accept any money or charge us. Wow!! We had a couple appointment times set that I goofed up, so really used his time. He is highly recommended and will undoubtedly use him for next plumbing issue.

Kok Lee Plumbing came on Thursday of the previous week to look over the job and give me an estimate (no charge!). He returned today (Tuesday) and did a beautiful job replacing not only the bathtub faucet (as agreed) but also installed a new spout and shower head at no extra charge. I highly recommend him and will use him again without reservation.

Mr. Lee came to our home in the early evening to take a look at our clogged kitchen sink. We had purchased a Deal from Angie's List for a service call and an hour of labor. Mr. Lee was honest and felt that he could not perform the service for us based on what he was seeing. He directed us to another plumbing company (also on Angie's List), advised to ask Angie's List for a refund and did not charge us for his time. My husband and I appreciated his honesty and character more than anything.

Kok Lee responded almost immediately, which was helpful: I could try to get someone else to do the work right away. Your site didn't alert me to the fact that I lived outside his service area. You should fix that.

Our toilet had been constantly running for about a week. We couldn't identify what part was causing the problem. We called Mr. Lee and he immediately scheduled an appointment within a day--even though this is a very small job. He arrived on time, he fixed the problem without replacing the entire part, which saved us a lot of money. He was professional and pleasant and on time. We have used him in the past and would recommend him.

He showed up right on time, talked to my tenants, performed very detailed diagnosis and touched few areas. I don't live in St Paul but he made it so seamless for me that it would not matter. I think I found my new plumber! Piece of mind.

He was great. I called him and let him know I purchased it and he came out right away and even stopped to pick up the parts he thought I might need for my leaking downspout. He got there and took a look at it and let me know that it wasn't what I originally thought and that I didn't need to use that Big Deal for this. He was very honest and I really appreciated his time.

Kok did a great job replacing a toilet, lighting a water heater, replacing a bathtub faucet, and installing a dishwasher and gas range. The price was very reasonable-much less than my usual plumber, who was also "A" rated on Angie's List. I'm switching!
