Kemper & Associates were punctual, called with plan and updates, they physically surveyed lot on foot and that of the surrounding area of the entire block. They made clear makers to where the property line was and answered all of our questions. Great Service.

Overall I felt that Mark was very professional, easy to contact, and quick to respond with questions.

Called for land survey on recently purchased property. Mostly needed clarification of boundary lines to install fence and to dispel possible encroachment claims made by neighbor. All services from initial call to hand-delivery of survey maps were excellent. May cost a little more than other surveyors, but definitely worth it.

Kemper and Associates were very professional the entire time. They had to come out at least twice, for measuring and placing stakes and markers. We had asked them to call in advance to make sure our dogs were not in the yard, and they cheerfully complied. After they had completed their work, they gave us copies of the (extremely detailed) drawings, as well as a CD. I would highly recommend this company. The only minor blip was a misunderstanding about the quoted estimate price. After receiving the invoice, I contacted the company and they immediately sent out a revised invoice. Again -- very professional and a quality company through and through!

Great experience. Very professional team. All the positive reviews are spot on. Definitely got our money's worth and of all the contractors we hired in our project Kemper was the most dependable and professional. Have recommended them personally and would definitely use them again.

I spoke with a receptionist who said Mark was on another call. She took my contact information and address and Mark called me back within 10 minutes. I explained that we needed to know the property lines so we could put up a privacy fence due to difficult neighbors on one side. He had already pulled up our property information from the county website and explained what they do, how they do it and the cost. I explained that we were concerned that everything would be done properly in case the neighbors caused any problems when we put up the fence. He is clearly very experienced at what he does and put me at ease. We didn't even bother with another quote because we were so confident in him and felt the price was reasonable. The surveyors came out when Mark said they would and spent quite a bit of time measuring everything. Shortly after that, we got several large signed drawings of our property showing all of the structures, walkways, patios, existing fencing and property lines. A day or two later, the surveyors came out again to place the pins and stakes and give us a CD with the drawings. I was very impressed with the guys who came out the second time. They had to get into our neighbor's yard and I was sure the neighbors would either say no and/or harass them or us. I let the surveyor know that. I'm not sure what the surveyors said to the neighbor but they were able to do their job without any issues. We were very happy with the entire experience and will use them again should the need arise.

I found Kemper and Assoc on Angies list and called for an estimate. I spoke with Mark Kemper who immediately pulled up our lot on a database and gave me some details about it and what they would do. He was very knowledgable about what we would need for construction in Minneapolis and explained everything well. He estimated $1000, which was a few hundred dollars less than other estimates we had received. I call him a few day later to set it up and his team came out the next day to perform the survey. (Mark did say that during the spring and summer there is a longer wait for work to be done) In less than a week we had several drawings and a CD for our architect. They were fast, efficient and very nice to work with.

As part of buying a new home, I needed to have a survey done on the house that I had made an offer. Using Angies List, I contacted Kemper and Assoc. to have the survey performed. This was done all over the phone, because I was still living several states away. My call was returned the next day and we discussed the different options. I wanted to have the property staked, as well as having a detailed map, so that if there were any legal disputes down the road, I would be covered. The owner performed the survey within the timeline we had agreed and also has left a standing offer to continue to answer any questions. While the price might seem high, the property is 3.5 acres, which entails a lot more when placeing the stakes. I would definitley use them again.

My experience with Kemper & Associates was wonderful from the start. Mark Kemper spent a lot of time on the phone with me when I called for an estimate explaining the survey process and answering all of me questions. I was not home when the actual site survey was done or when they came back to place new stakes along the property lines, but my mom was home and she said the individuals from Kemper & Associates were very professional and friendly and took time to answer questions she had. I had called Kemper & Associates based on Angie's List review and I am very glad I did.

On a recommendation from our architect, we contacted two surveyors; she said Kemper was particularly good, she didn't know a lot about the other one but I wanted to have a choice. I spoke to both companies the same day. Mark Kemper got back to me right away with bid information. From our conversation he just radiated quality and solidness. I told him I'd have to call him back with a decision after I got the second bid. But about an hour after we spoke I called him back and hired him -- with a tough economy for the building trades and related services, all I could think of was that here was a guy who really sounded like he cared about his work quality and the price sounded fair; he should get the job. I couldn't have been more correct in my assessment. His crew came out within two days and dug through the considerable snow to get all the monuments and measurements. They were personable and professional and were undaunted by the extra work shoveling and scraping. The final product was done quickly and delivered to our home and sent to our architect. The work was excellent and of very high quality -- both our architect and builder were very impressed. We got excellent value for the money we spent. As for the other surveyor -- he didn't call me back for another week and when he did said they would have to charge extra because it was January and there was a lot of snow. He quoted a price higher than Kemper. I'm glad I went with my gut! I would highly recommend Mark Kemper and his company.

From the point of initial contact, scheduling was rapid and hassle free. The team who executed the job were fast, efficient and paid meticulous attention to detail. The final survey was hand delivered to my home by the business owner. Highly recommended.

Overall, things turned out very well. I was very pleased with our experience. Mark was very upfront.

Mark Kemper was professional and helpful. I expressed interest in seeing how they did their work, and he always notified me when they were going to be on site. He was willing to satisfy my curiosity about how surveying worked, explaining how and why they did what they did. I found the whole thing very interesting. At the end, they placed the markers and showed me where they were and gave me several copies of the drawing of my property and the surrounding neighborhood. I highly recommend them.

They made three visits, using both traditional surveying tools as well as GPS. They marked all property corners and added markers in critical areas for clarity. We received four large printed and signed surveys. We are very pleased with their work and would definitely hire them again.

I contacted Kemper and Associates and they called me back within an hour with an estimate based on information about my property. The work was completed and I had the drawings about 2 weeks later. They provided multiple paper copies and a CD and the work was very high quality.

They were very quick and the plans detailed. We found out an existing fence extended past our lot line and also followed exactly along the lot.

I saw the other reviews on the list and decided to call Mark. It was a great decision. Mark patiently explained the process to me, followed through on all of the things he said he would do, and provided drawings that were much more detailed, useful, and attractive than I expected. I want to frame them. He handled a delicate situation (neighbor dispute) with the utmost professionalism and consideration. Our situation was complicated not only by the neighbor, but also by a weird remnant of a survey from the1880s that affected the results a little bit. Mark put in extra time to figure out the property lines. He patiently explained the reason for and consequences of the previous survey's errors, and recommended possible ways to remedy the situation. The job was great. The results were fantastic. The drawings are beautiful and useful. The best part might have been talking to Mark. He is a knowledgeable, professional, and friendly guy. My wife simply said "He's a gem."

This was a surprisingly easy process. After the initial call, Kemper & Associates sent some survey guys (The two Cody's, who were really, really nice guys) to do a preliminary check of my lot. A few days later they were back, at which time they finalized my property lines and marked them. Two days later I had a bunch of copies of certified blue-prints of my lot (complete with digital photos) for my records.

We've become embroiled in a dispute with one of our neighbors regarding the position of the driveway on our lot. In order to help resolve this dispute, we required a thorough survey of our lot, something we've never had done in the 29 years we've lived in out home. After contacting a couple of surveyors via the phone, we chose Kemper due to the thorough explanation they provided of their surveying services. They conducted the survey in the time frame they committed to and were very thorough and professional in the manner in which they conducted themselves. The printed results were exactly what we expected.

They have good communication. They are very friendly. They are performing in the time line they offered. From all I can they are very confident. I found them on Angie's List.

Mark Kemper performed the work as promised, on budget. Mark and his associate spent quite a bit of time on our property taking measurements, and delivered what they had set out to do.

They were great! They were knowledgeable, my husband was able to have a good conversation with them about the scope of the project.

Mark Kemper was very personable. I had a lot of questions since I didn't know what was involved in a land survey and he was generous with helpful information. The guys came out when he said they would. I would hire them again because I think they were fair and professional.

WHILE WE'D NEVER BEFORE WORKED WITH A SURVEYOR -- AND IT WILL LIKELY BE YEAR BEFORE WE DO AGAIN -- OUR EXPERIENCE WAS DEFINITELY POSITIVE. KEMPER WAS ONE OF A COUPLE OF FIRMS RECOMMENDED BY OUR ARCHITECT. SHE'D BEEN PLEASED WITH THEIR WORK AND THEY CAME BACK WITH THE LOW BID -- SO WE HIRED THEM. WE LEARNED THINGS WE HADN'T KNOWN ABOUT OUR PROPERTY -- SUCH AS THAT THE UGLY TREE IS OURS AND NOT OUR NEIGHBORS AND THAT THERE'S A STRIP OF GRASS BETWEEN THE HOUSE AND THE SIDEWALK AND WE THOUGHT WE OURS BUT REALLY ISN'T! THE WORK ISN'T INEXPENSIVE, BUT WE APPRECIATED THE VALUE. (THEY GET A B VS. AN A ONLY BECAUSE I'M NOT SURE WHAT AN A LOOKS LIKE IN THIS CATEGORY!)
