Janecky Plumbing & Heating

I discovered my water heater stopped working while I was in the shower, so I started calling around looking for someone to come out. I called Janecky and was unable to get an appointment while on the phone, but was told they would try to arrange something and call me back. They took my name, phone number and address. In the meantime I found another company able to come out later in the afternoon and booked an appointment with them. I received a call from my son later in the day saying there was a plumber at the house and he let him in. Annoyed that no one called to alert me that they were on the way, I had to leave work immediately and drive home. Halfway there, my son called again and handed the phone over to the plumber who told me he fixed the problem. I told him I was expecting a call between 2 & 5 to let me know they were on their way. He apologized and said he was told to come out at 1:30. Then expressed my confusion and questioned having an appointment with his company, but he continued to tell me how he was able to light the pilot light and how much it was going to cost and how soon would I be home? So I told him I would be there shortly. Now, I knew I had called a few different companies that morning and I couldn't remember all of their names, but I also knew I had only booked one appointment and I knew the name of that company. When I pulled into the driveway and saw the truck I knew immediately this was not the company I had made an appointment with. I told the plumber that when he stepped out of the truck and he said "Really?" as he proceeded to motion me into the house to show me the work he did. What could I do? The work was already done. Even though I had not confirmed an appointment with this company, was not present to let him into the house (my minor child did) or approve the work to be done, I had to pay. While he was writing up the bill, the company I actually had an appointment with showed up. Even though my water heater was fixed, which was what I needed to be done, I cannot give a positive review to a company that I feel took unfair advantage of me by performing work in my house without my presence or permission.

The work is top notch out of all plumbers that worked on several different areas from HVAC, radiators and water supplies. They were responsive and receptive to suggestions. Only one crew member out of the 6 different guys had a bit of an attitude, but he also did the work quite well.

They responded quickly and had a service person out that very morning. The service person was professional, clean, and thorough. He explained all that was to be done and completed the job without issue. I've used Janecky Plumbing for all of my plumbing needs since 2008. I am a repeat customer for a reason. They do great work.

They are always here when they say they are going to be here and is always within couple of days. They are the cheapest that we have found, but the same guy or the same two or three guys that always come to the house because they always have the right equipment. They are always upfront with kind of work they are going to do and how much they are going to charge for it. Everything that they have done has lasted and of high quality. They actually care for what they are doing. We are going to use them in the future.

wonderful service; did not charge me for fixing the kitchen faucet leak since it only took the technician a couple minutes to diagnose and tighten a connector --- first plumber I had out told me I needed to replace the faucet and also wanted to charge me more than $900 to replace the toilet; the first plumbers charges to replace the toilet seemed excessive so I called another plumbing service and am so glad I did that.

The service went great. Two technicians came out and completed the job in about 2 days. They had the best pricing out of the other companies we looked into. They were great at cleaning up after themselves. They were prompt and we were very happy with their work.

Janecky has done numerous jobs for me over the years, and I've always been happy with its services. Ryan, the plumber who usually comes out to the house, does good work and never leaves behind any messes. Furthermore, the company's prices have always been fair.

Nate showed up on time, evaluated the problem (leaking shower/tub) and was able to locate the problem part (cracked tub drain trap) then made the repairs within an hour. It was a very tight space he had to work in. This job was a consequence of me trying to replace a corroded tub drain. Very pleased it wasn't a bigger problem.

Janecky was paid for job (around $600) then met with me and city inspector for final inspection. The job did not check out because the wrong venting was put in. City inspector asked him to fix it and email a photo of fix to him, so we would not have meet for another inspection. Eight months later the job still showed up as unfinished on our property's record. City inspector never received the photo. I called Janecky multiple times and left messages. No reply, until I had called for an entire week. No one remembered anything, no one had a photo they could still send to the city. I made another follow up call that was never returned, and finally gave up. So we had to repeat the inspection with the city.

I live in a 4 story condo. My unit is on the 1st and 2nd floor, the furnace/AC is on second floor. the other A/C part is on the roof. I called Janecky last fall about my unit. waited until Spring to schedule the work, but when I called they just pulled up the previous estimate and scheduled the work. The same person who did the estimate came and did the work. I couldn't ask for better service. It was quite a work out taking out the old going up and down from the roof (there is an elevator), and up and down in my unit.

I got a recommendation from a friend on Angie’s List. They were excellent. They were on time and prompt. They have reasonable prices too. They are my new plumbers now.

What a caring and wonderful organization. When I described what I needed (and it was a short notice emergency) to meet my home buyers inspector who claimed he detected a leak, Janecky found it and fixed it right onsite. It was a bit spendy for the nature of the work, but it was a task I did not want to take on in case there were any complications. When you hire a plumber, you expect to pay the going rate.

Got the recommendation to work with Janecky from our remodeling design company, and couldn't be happier with the result. Good communication, most thorough itemized quote that I received. Cost in-line with other bids, although this one was more detailed so I felt like it was more reliable. Could tell that he had thoroughly thought through the project and listened to some specific unique details of the job. What Janecky says is what you will get. No sales talk (or much "additional" talk at all, really), just good, quality work. Crew was motivated and worked well together. Respectful, nice people. Tolerant of small curious kids peering from stairs now and then. Really happy with final appearance, function, and inspection results. This is the card I'll use for future plumbing/heating work.

One of the people I spoke to actually came and completed the repair on Monday morning. The other plumbing companies I'd called got back to me either on Friday evening or Saturday. Janecky returned my call on Tuesday. It's one thing to wait that long to call back about a dripping faucet. It's another entirely when you, as the professional, should realize that your potential customer is without any water until the issue is solved.

Excellent service! We have used Janecky Plumbing for many decades, and we have always been extremely pleased with the outstanding quality of service and the prices. The plumbing work is of very skillful quality and the results are always extremely reliable. Janecky plumbers are on time, and professional as well as personable. 2 men came on scheduled day at time set. Were clean and neat and very friendly. The work went faster than expected, but partially because we had done some preliminary work ahead of time to loosen the counter top and the pedestal sink from the wall. We also had everything removed from under the sinks. They did beautiful work quietly and professionally and cleaned up any mess they made. They also took the old products so they could dispose of them for us. Did not take boxes from new products as they said they didn't have a crusher. That worked out OK with us as we were able to put them in our recycle bin for pick up. The only reason I gave them a B score on Responsiveness was because when I called and left a message both times, it took 2 to 4 days for a call back. But, everything else was great and we would definitely use them again.

My plumbing problem was not an emergency, so waiting several days for an appointment was not a problem. The repairman was very friendly and reliable and finished the work quickly and completely. Prices seemed high for 40 minutes of work, but I did not compare prices with other plumbers.
