Description of Work: I requested a quote for re-grouting a shower stall in my master bath. The existing grout was stained and in poor condition. Dick, the owner, came to do an estimate and was on time. He was very professional, and seemed very competent. Howeverr, I also had a bid from another company, and that bid was significantly less expensive. D**** bid for the job, with the materials he recommended, would have come to nearly $800. The other quote was about half of that. I did not have work performed by The Grout Doctor.

They worked quickly and did a great job of cleaning up after their work. They also took time to speak with me about care and maintenance of the grout going forward. I was very pleased with the experience.

 + -1 moreThe tile company we bought from ended up repairing the damages themselves because they sold us the wrong product, so we did not use the Grout Doctor, but would call him up for any new projects!
Description of Work: After a tiling project gone bad, Dick came out and gave us a very reasonable estimate to do repair the damage. He was very knowledgeable and personable.

 + 0 moreA very favorable experience. Mr Seppala was courteous and professional and did an excellent job. The project required a number of trips to our home due to drying times. Rather than rushing the work, Mr Seppala made time in his schedule for a number of visits, yet at the same time got the work done within our time frame. The results made a significant difference in the appearance of our bathrooms.
Description of Work: Worked on two bathrooms. Removed old caulk. Removed and reset loose tiles - regrouted. Cleaned all areas, stain sealed all grout.

 + -1 moreDICK WAS VERY HELPFUL AND WORKED WITH US TO MEET OUR TIMELINE. HIS TILERS WERE POLITE AND PROMPT. I HAVE ASKED DICK TO COME OUT AND BID ANOTHER MUCH BIGGER JOB AND WOULD FEEL VERY COMFORTABLE IN HIRING THEM AGAIN. THE WORK WAS DONE VERY QUICKLY, BY OUR REQUEST, AND THEY FELT IT WAS NOT UP TO THEIR USUAL STANDARDS, BUT IT WAS MORE THAN ADEQUATE FOR OUR PURPOSES.

 + -1 moreSOME GROUT SEAMS ARE VERY SLOPPY. CLEAN-UP WAS CURSORY. WHEN CLEANING UP AFTER A SECOND VISIT TO REDO SOME GROUTING, DICK ACCIDENTALLY FLOODED OUR MASTER BATHROOM AND PART OF THE BEDROOM, CAUSING ABOUT $1000 IN DAMAGE. HIS INSURANCE WOULD ONLY PAY FOR THE VALUE OF THE MATERIALS DAMAGED, SO WE HAD TO USE OUR INSURANCE TO GET REPLACEMENT COST. HE WAS TO COME BACK AND FINISH HIS WORK, BUT HE MISSED TWO APPOINTMENTS, SO I FINISHED THE WORK MYSELF.
Description of Work: REGROUTED THE WALLS OF TWO BATHTUB STALLS. I DIDN'T SPECIFY THAT THE TILED CEILINGS NEEDED TO BE DONE, THINKING THAT THEY WERE PART OF THE STALLS SO THEY WOULD BE INCLUDED IN THE WORK, BUT THEY WERE NOT.
