Description of Work: This review is a little old so not as detailed as I'd like. Our gutters were overflowing and we needed them cleaned pronto. We went with Burtons because they were able to come out immediately, in the evening. THis is a husband and wife team. They came, they set up, they cleaned up, they left. I think they gave a small discount for paying by check instead of credit card. They are not fancy but they get the job done. At the time I thought they were expensive but having shopped around their prices are in line with other services. I would use them again.

Description of Work: I didn't actually use this service after they very promptly responded and gave me an estimate on shoveling off my roof. I was slightly leary because there was no recent Angie's list entry, and something he said about getting some kind of then-lapsed city registration renewed (but he was being honest, a good thing). Also, I'd been asking about a much more limited shoveling job, and he was recommending shoveling off the whole south side of the roof, so the price may have been reasonable, but it was enough to give me pause and decide to research further. I ended up deciding to use steam removal of our ice dam, which this company doesn't offer. but i was sorry not to go back to this firm/professional, and would try him in the future if his services were what I actually wanted.

Burton and his partner arrived responded to our phone calls, let us know when they would be arriving. Even though they needed several breaks from removing massive amounts of snow from the roof, they continued their work until it was finished. They then let us know that they were finished and left. Very professional.
Description of Work: Burton removed a severe ice dam from the roof of a 1920's bungalow with great thoroughness and obvious understanding of the seriousness of the threat. His 30 years of work and the experience gained was evident. Even though it was not cheap, it was essential to preventing serious damage to the structure.

Called them. They came out quickly. Came back a couple of days later at my suggestion. I wasn't home at the time but they managed on their own and they were done by the time I got home. Showed me exactly what the problem had been (bird's nest stuck in the upper part of the downspout) and talked about what I should look for in the future.

It is not easy to clean the gutters in a house with steep roof, and they did a great job of it. They cleaned up after themselves. I have used them before over the years. They have always just worked and always showed up on time. Their price is high.

I had a leaky gutter in one corner of our house and had difficulties finding someone to do such a small job. They came over and gave us the $300 estimate, which seemed high, but went with it because they showed up. They did the work and the corner no longer leaks but they never said when they were coming even though they said they'd call. I called them recently to do work on another part of the gutter but they never called back.

I called in the morning, they came to make an estimate that afternoon. I accepted the estimate and they performed the work immediately. They were very efficient and cleaned up afterwards. They were very friendly and made some good observations for further work that I may want to be done at a later date. All in all a very pleasing experience.

Very well; they returned my initial call promptly, kept me informed as to when they would be able to give me an estimate, and did the work two days after providing the estimate. They came out on a Saturday, which worked great for us, and were very professional and pleasant. They bagged up all the waste and did not leave anything in our yard. Excellent job overall.

Service was prompt, people were friendly and explained clearly the options and what they intended to do. Cost estimates were, frankly, a shock.
