Description of Work: My 40 year or more boiler failed. Bruce Nelson replaced it within a few days. They could have done it sooner but my schedule was busy. They did a great job. The city inspectors commented on how nice a job they did. They cleaned every thing up better then any other contractor I have used. I would highly recommend them.

Description of Work: Called them to replace our water heater. Customer service was very professional on the phone, new heater was ordered through them and service scheduled within the week (non-emergency call). A team of three technicians arrived and hauled out the old heater for recycling, installed new heater and even spotted a potential problem with the hook up pipe (from the existing system) and repaired it at no additional cost. They stayed within their original estimate, work was done thoroughly and professionally. I am very happy with this service.

Description of Work: My toilet was leaking (that is, running). This company is very close to my house so I chose them. Greg came and worked on it a long time. The result is that my toilet is still running. He said that the only other solution was to buy a new toilet. I see on my bill that he wrote that I "ok'd it." Well, what could I do? I'm not a plumber so can't really argue what he said are the facts. He said that it might get better in two weeks but it has not. I'm working on a project deadline right now but when that is finished, I will call Bruce Nelson to see if someone else there can solve what seems like a simple problem. If they do solve it, I will revise this evaluation.

+ -1 moreThe plumber that did the work was Mark B. I thought he did a good job. He arrived at the time I was told when I made the appointment. When I made the appointment, I was told about how much the job would cost and how long it would take. After looking at the location where the tub was to be installed, Mark B. again reviewed the estimated time and cost so there were no surprises. Mark cleaned up the area when he was done and the tub and faucet have been working fine. After Mark was completed with the tub, he helped me out by answering questions I had to help me plan out our future basement finishing project. Bruce Nelson costs more than other plumbing companies I have used in the past, but they are professional and do quality work, so they are worth it.
Description of Work: A new laundry tub sink with faucet was installed in our basement. There was no tub there previously so the water piping had to be installed also.

HOWEVER, AS WE FOUND OUT AFTER THE ORDER WAS PLACED, NELSON'S SUPPLIER DID NOT HAVE THE FAUCET IN ONE OF THE FINISHES AND IT WOULD TAKE EXTRA TIME TO DELIVER. AT THIS POINT THE DATES HAD BEEN WORKED OUT WITH THE CONTRACTOR AND NELSON'S FOR INSTALLING THE SINKS AND TOILET. WE AGREED TO PAY FOR AN EXTRA TRIP TO INSTALL THE BACK-ORDERED FAUCET WHEN IT ARRIVED. THE BILL FOR THE INSTALLATION OF THE DELAYED FAUCET WAS $255 LABOR CHARGE. NELSON EXPLAINED THAT THIS WAS BILLED OUT AT $85 PER HOUR, WHICH WE ASSUME MEANS 3 HOURS OF WORK. WE LIVE ABOUT 5-7 MINUTES FROM NELSON'S AND AS FAR AS WE KNOW, THERE WAS NO PROBLEM IN INSTALLING THE FAUCET. WE CAN NOT UNDERSTAND HOW IT COULD HAVE TAKEN 3 HOURS TO INSTALL A SINGLE, STANDARD FAUCET.
Description of Work: WE ORDERED 2 SINKS, FAUCETS FOR THE 2 SINKS AND A TOILET TO BE INSTALLED BY THE CONTRACTOR THEY RECOMMENDED. NELSON'S PLUMBING CAME TO OUR HOUSE TWICE TO INSTALL THE FAUCETS AND CONNECT THE PLUMBING TO THE SINKS AND TOILET.
