Boehm Heating & Air Conditioning

Boehm was able to provide an estimate within a week of calling. It was provided accurately, and the technician took the time to explain reasoning behind available options. It was not a sales pitch - it was a technical quote. Installation was mostly a full day to replace an old cast iron boiler, and chimney sleeve with a new system. All items in the area were brought up to code as part of the installation. The morning of - a stuck valve on an upstairs radiator was remembered, and it wasn't an issue to add on to the days work to fix it at a reasonable cost. The city inspector stated that the pipe fitter clearly cared about his job. No runs/bubbles/issues with any of the welding, and everything looked the way they would have installed it in their own home. All in all - on time, affordable, friendly, and to the point.

Everything went very well. I got 4 bids total and Boehm's was the lowest by a wide margin. They showed up when they said they would and worked in a professional manner. they were in and out of my house in about six hours and cleaned up after themselves and hauled the old boiler away. Dave and Brian did a great job and were patient and professional answering all my questions about operating the new boiler and thermostat. At the end of the day, company owner Jim Boehm stopped by to make everything was going well-it was. Thumbs up!

We hired Boehm to replace our furnace and a/c unit almost 10 years ago to the day. Our a/c unit stopped cooling yesterday (made noise, but fan on the unit wasn't spinning). We called 8am today to request service. Bill arrived around 1pm and got the a/c repaired and running in about an hour. Bill explained our options, including repairing immediately, or waiting to order a lower cost fan. Given today's heat and humidity, we opted for and were grateful to have an immediate fix. After the install, Bill reviewed the repair with us, and gave some tips on how to keep the unit running efficiently.

We had three companies make bids for a furnace and air conditioning. Jeff Boehm's idea made the most sense with the least amount of construction and most flexibility. It was disappointing when it took more than one month to schedule the installation. The initial bid included Jeff coordinating with an electrician. Boehm never called with a status update. We had to call Boehm three times to get the installation scheduled. During the third call we stated we would contact Highland Electric to schedule the electrical work. Only then did the project get underway. They were on time and polite during the installation. Jeff returned a week later, after Highland Electric completed the the electrical work, to ensure a smooth startup. We enjoyed working with Jeff, and you may too as long a speed is not in your criteria.

I have used them for over twenty-five years and they have always been excellent for repairs and service.

in the time they predicted and everything is working 6 months later.went great. we had a flexible scheduling deal where they could get in when they had some off time. Worked out great, work was done. I gave a B rating on responsiveness, as I had to call 3 times to get an estimate. But when I did get someone to talk to , they knew exactlly what had to be done.

Professional, skilled and "know their trade!" Patient when construction was delayed and kept me updated while they were working on the job. I have used them for a new furnace in the past and also have many family and friends who have used them as well. Great company!

It went very well. They did everything they said they were going to do while remaining at the proposed price. They were very friendly and helpful every time I contacted them. They also informed me of a rebate program which I was able to take advantage of and get some money back from the utility company. They worked hard to get the boiler installed within my shorter time frame since I was putting the home on the market, and even gave me a thank you note at the end of the job.

My dad was using them for years. They came out in the middle of the night to fix the furnace. They have emergency numbers which I called. I guess they have someone on call all the time in the winters. They come out every year to do a service check on the furnace and the air conditioning to make sure it is working. We do both at the same time, and they give us a discount. We have been using them for 20 plus years. My dad passed away, and I took over, and some guys come here, and say they remember working here. They are professional, and they don't do things that don't need to be done. We have a 3 amp electronic air cleaner, and this guy came in and said it was not so effective, and we should get a filter, they then installed it without a charging. I don't feel their rates are unreasonable. I call them when we need them. The technicians who come out vary, it depends on who is available. I have had very positive experiences with them. The responsiveness was very good, especially like the time the furnace was down, someone came out within a couple of hours. We needed it because my mother is 86 years, and she needed the heat.

We just moved into our first house this summer and was told by the house inspector that the boiler was older and had a couple broken parts on it. I called Boehm at the first sign of cold hoping it wasn't too late to get a reasonable price for a repair. The repairman (I think his name was Cory? Tall, quiet, focused but friendly) came out that same day! He checked it out and go figure the boiler is in good shape. He tuned it and said it would keep going for few more years to his reckoning. It was nice to get someone who knows the older models of boilers. I felt confident in his knowledge. 10/10 They were fast, friendly, reasonably priced, and knowledgeable.

Bought central act from them 20 years ago. They also replaced our furnace and have serviced it several,times. Been very happy with them in the past so when the AC stopped working I gave them a call. I explained that the condenser wasn't coming on and if it was a simple fix I wanted that but I would also be interested in a estimate for a new unit. Woman said she would see who was available and call me back. When no one called back I called back a week later. I did get so some to come and attempt a fix but that proved to be unsuccessful. I contacted them and they came right back out and fixed the issue. Bottom line: great people and service once you can get them scheduled.

Boehm has a good reputation and lived up to it in this case. They charged me $120 for a boiler inspection that took about 30 minutes. The guy was a couple minutes late but otherwise was professional and explained my options going forward. I would use them again.

Woke up to cold temps in house. My efforts could not restart the furnace. Called Boehm. It was a Saturday and their emergency answering service picked up immediately. They had someone out to the house within a couple of hours and he diagnosed and fixed the problem quickly. He also explained what had most likely caused the problem and some ways to avoid it in the future. Wasn't cheap, but I'm happy with the service.

have used Boehm for years to service my heating system. Didn't even consider any other company to do the work. Can't fairly answer the question about the price since I didn't seek out other bids.

I have been happy with their work in the past, but things have changed. For the last couple of years, when I try to schedule a furnace or AC check, the tell me they will call me back with an appointment, but they NEVER do! It almost seems like their scheduler hasn't been given access to dial out! last October, I hit the last straw. After calling twice and waiting 2 weeks without getting a return call, I used another company. I won't waste my time with Boehm again.

educated me about pros and cons of replacing this boiler, which they installed in 1975 and have cleaned as needed; it has needed very few replacement parts over the years. They have some servicemen experienced in older boilers.

Walked into a 54 degree house at 9PM to realize the furnace quit working. Called several emergency heating providers. Tom was the only one that worked over the phone to assess the problem. By the time he agreed to come out to fix it, he knew the make, model, year of the furnace and that he had the parts to repair it in his truck. He did not charge $189 to show up on an emergency, although he arrived at midnight and had the furnace running less than an hour later. I highly recommend Tom Boehm!

They were professional, on time, and left the area spotless. I highly recommend them.

Had a cold radiator in the house that was completely filled with air. Since the heating season started the closest radiator to the boiler on the system needed frequent bleeding and constant water added to the system for pressure to bleed out air. When the master bedroom was cold and the radiator was cold to the touch I contacted Boehm. Due to the temp being at or below zero, the person who answered the call asked a series of questions to determine if this was an emergency or not. (I apologize for forgetting her name) We determined this was not an emergency call needing immediate assistance due to the heat still working but I was assured I would get a call back later in the day. Jeff Boehm called me back mid afternoon and asked questions to determine what was going on. He believed my issue was a water logged system. (to much water in the system filling the expansion tank causing the radiator to act as a small expansion tank) Jeff let me know he could come to the house shortly. Once downstairs Jeff explained to me how the system became water logged and showed me how to prevent the issue in the future. Upon checking the boiler he assured me everything was fine and suggested a quick tune-up, or general maintenance. Jeff told me it would not hurt to wait until the end of the heating season. Jeff then explained the simple process and completed the maintenance at my request. I would guess the actual work took 30-45 minutes and Jeff's explanation of the system and routine maintenance I can do took 15 minutes (done while he worked) The last time I had a local plumber in my home every word they said was followed with $$$. The reviews on Angie's List gave me some faith that I could call and not worry about breaking the bank. After my experience with Jeff Boehm, I now have an expert I can trust and call on if needed.

They were very helpful, and the price was the best I could find. They had been recommended by my plumber. I will most likely use them again. My only complaint was the time it took for them to respond to our initial quote request. Otherwise, things moved pretty fast.

It went great! Tim Boehm was a great example of an owner who knows his customers. And the fact that he was out in a Sunday because he knew that lots of customers would be needing help was fantastic.
