Description of Work: I called and left a message this morning to have someone call me back with pricing on a new tension spring for my garage door. I received a call back 15 minutes later and the guy was out an hour later. Talk about fast service! I would highly recommend AA!

Description of Work: It was still a good experience. I called the company on a wednesday and they sent someone out friday afternoon. The person on the phone originally said they could honor the $99 coupon as the charge for the service call and then just charge me for whatever parts needed to be replaced. But when the technician arrived he said it would be a better deal to bill me a different way and he recommended I ask for a refund on my Big Deal. He fixed the door w/in an hour and was very polite & professional. I was pleased with the service.

Description of Work: I purchased a coupon for a $79 garage door tune up special on Angie's List. I made an appointment with the provider for 4/5/13 between 1 and 5 pm. He did offer to come out the same day I called with a shorter window of time but I needed to request time off from work in advance, so was told they could come out on Friday, 4/5. At 4:30pm that day I left a voice mail for the provider and again at 5 pm, asking why they did not come. That evening I received an email indicating that it was their fault and they could stop by on Saturday, 4/6 and perform the service for free. They called Saturday, 4/6 and said they would be out between 10am and noon. They arrived within that window of time and tightened some screws on the garage door frame and readjusted the sensors. To their credit, they did offer me the service free, but I had to use a half a day of vacation from work to wait for them on Friday. The service I received seemed only to address the problem and did not appear to me to be a full tune-up, but I do not know what that would have entailed. This experience was disappointing since so many other reviews on Angie's List mentioned their promptness and reliability. But they did try to make good on their error which was good.

Description of Work: They oiled and adjusted my double door garage door. During the inspection they found both of the cable drums were shot. The one was particulary bad abnd could have created an unsafe situation. The young man was effcient and knew exactly what to do.

Description of Work: I had responded to the $99 garage tune-up add. When the gentleman arrived and assessed the garage door, it was determined that I had a broken spring. He said he most likely had a spring with him and could replace it, but first he wanted to check with the office to see if the $99 I had already paid, could be direcly applied to the spring replacement. He determined that for another $80, they could replace my broken spring. This was all accomplished within less than and hour. Although it ended up costing more than I had intended, I was very happy that I was able to get the problem fixed in a timely manner. Great job!

Description of Work: My garage door was not closing using the visor button in my car but if I closed it from the inside keeping the button depressed during the whole cycle the door would close completely. I called AA and asked what might be causing the problem and if they could give me an idea of the cost to correct the issue. The gentleman with whom I spoke explained that the sensors at the bottom of the door may be dirty or blocked or may need to be replaced. I thanked him, cleaned the sensors and the door opener works like new. Thank you for the FREE advice. When I need my doors tuned up they will get the call. Description of Work: I had the bottom section of my garage door replace. They did a fine job on that part. They also replaced the plastic trim/seal around the garage door. The person did not place the nails close enough together. There were large gaps that left openings for bugs to crawl into my garage. I called about the situation and did not get a response. Two months later, I came home from a two week trip to find 100's of box elder bugs crawling into my garage via the holes left open by the garage repair person. I called again. Set up an appointment, the owner came out to put more nails in the trim. The nails didn't match the color of the trim. He said, he'd send someone with touchup paint. I'm still waiting for them to come finish the job. How many times do you have to call a company to get the job done?

Description of Work: The service tech, lubricated and made adjustments. Made a recommendation to secure cross-members (these are the beams most people store thing on, located above a persons head.) which would control any moving or shaking of the rafters when door opens or closes. This is not an urgent issue.

Description of Work: Garage door was not shutting. I called and they came that day. He called me because my auto garage door opener was broken and asked if I wanted it replaced. He did it that day and it has worked very well ever since. He left the bill in the garage. Nice service.

Description of Work: A neoprene seal was replaced on the bottom of the door and the the entire fixtures were upgraded. The door hasn't worked this well in many years. I had tried other places but AA GDS did a great job. Very professional and very knowledgeable. I will never use anyone else and will recommend them to anyone who needs a garage door service.
