AA Garage Door Service

Very nice people to work with. First appt. was somehow missed by human error, but they apologize and got someone out right away the next day (the guy who showed up was very nice and knowledgeable). It was unfortunate I had the springs replaced by a so called expert 6 months before and AA guy let us know they were used and not even the same size or from the same manufacturer and that's why they weren't working. Then, a few weeks later the motor on the opener went, so AA came back and replaced the motor, even though they said I would probably need a new opener within a short time. Both the 'fixer' and the owner we're pleasant to work with.

Trip #1: As my husband was leaving for work at 6:00 a.m., the garage door opener broke. I called AA, a company I had worked with before through Angie's list, at about 6:20 a.m.--expecting to get an answering machine. But owner Dave picked up the phone and arranged to send technicians out that very day. Technicians arrived promptly and quickly and efficiently replaced opener. Tristan even moved the outside keypad to help cover the area occupied by the old one, at my request. They were very personable and polite. Trip#2: Next day I called to say that the new opener, which was the same manufacturer and horsepower as the old one, seemed noisier than the old. Dave promptly sent another team, who checked and said the new opener was working ok, but tightened some bolts to see if they could reduce the noise. Though the new opener seemed to be within acceptable noise range, Roy said he would talk to his boss to see if he had any suggestions to make it even better for us. Trip#3: Owner Dave called to offer a belt driven, rather than the current chain driven model, at a very nominal fee. On Saturday Roy returned and replaced the chain model with the belt model. It is whisper quiet! THREE TRIPS--all with our satisfaction in mind. Both my husband and I are very satisfied with AA and plan to recommend them to our neighbors.

Overall we were very happy with AA's service, and the end result. Our garage door had finally given way and fallen off the tracks. The gentleman who came out to take measurements was very helpful and knowledgeable, pointing out to us that the garage door we had at the time was not quite the right fit for the opening and had too narrow of a bend in the track which was causing the problems we were having. Because it was a slightly off size, they had to order a door for us, but they were able to get it for us about a week later. We had a miscommunication over the time they were coming to install the door, but in the end we are very happy with the result.

I ran into issue were the old garage door opener died. Since the existing opener was so old, and it the middle of winter, I decided to replace it. I called Dave on Monday 1/25 just to price out options, he answered all my questions and was able to send out the repair crew the next day. So on Tuesday 1/26, the next day, Tim and Karmee showed up promptly on time and quickly replaced the door opener with a new one. They did an excellent job, answered all my questions, cleaned up, removed the old opener and parts upon leaving. I look forward to working with them again when we replace the garage doors. Well worth the cost, and not having to install it myself in during the cold winter temps in a non-heated garage. Great Job Guys!!

The technician was very professional and polite, He replaced the opener and explained everything. When my remote quit working because of a bad circuit board a week later. They promptly came out the next day and in a few minutes had the issue fixed. Furthermore, the technician took time to tell me some maintenance tips and explained the warranty. Thank-you so much.,It's comforting to know that I can call AA Garage Door and get great service when I need it.

I called their number and within a hour Shawn stopped out an corrected the issue within 30 minutes or less. He was great to work with and would use again.

My 16ft Garage door opener started acting up and would not open all the way. After several attempts the door quit going up and down altogether. I called AA Garage Door and was advised by the owner someone would be out between 1 and 5pm. Shawn came out at 230pm and after a brief explanation of the issue suggested 2 issues it could be, one of which it was. Shawn looked inside the Chamberlain Opener and saw a gear had been replaced in the past few years and told me whomever replaced it should have replaced the bushing on the end of the shaft. Shawn replaced the bushing and the entire project was completed in around 30 minutes. We purchased the 20 year old house 1.5 years ago and know eventually we will need to replace the doors and possibly the Chamberlain Opener and will have no issue calling AA Garage Door when the time comes. From the first call to them, to the completion of the project I received personable and professional assistance with a smile.

I'm horrible with names and cannot remember the technician's name, but he was very friendly and did a great job of explaining what the problem was, why it occurred and how he intended to fix it. He told me it would take 20 minutes to complete and it did. The shaft broke and the bearing fell off on New Year's Day...of course. I called immediately that afternoon and was advised someone could be at my house the following day, IF they had the parts in the shop. Fortunately, they had the parts and they were out the next day. I appreciate that the person I called, checked on the parts and called me first thing Saturday morning to let me know. I had called another company who advertised 24 hour emergency service first and was advised he offered that only when he was in town. ???? I will use AA Garage from now on.

The employee was courteous and showed me how to correct the problem should it recur. It only took about 5 minutes and he did not even charge me for a service call. I will definitely use them if I have future issues with my door or opener.

The technician was here on time. Very professional and courteous. He did the job in a reasonable amount of time and double checked the installation to make sure everything was working properly. AA Garage Door Service has done work for me before and I am very pleased with there work.

Called last night at 7:00, they were here at 9:00 this morning!! Tim, the service technician, was on time, professional, very efficient in his work and explained every detail of what he was doing. I was afraid of a hard sell to buy a door. Never pushed to do a big sale and offered recommendations when I asked. He was complete with the repair in less than an hour. Thanks Angie's list for the great referral. When I am ready, I will definitely use AA Garage Dorr for my new garage door.

It was good. He was good. When he came and did the inspection and everything, I had questions about my garage door open has a belt on it and the belt twists when it goes to a certain position and the guy said that its alright because he said eventually its going to straighten up because there’s only one way to go through the turning things. I was hoping he would have said that we can adjust here or adjust there but he didn’t.

I called AA at 7:30 am and by 9:30 am (the same day), the garage door was fixed and operating perfectly. They came out, replaced the cables and lubed moving parts. Very professional and quick to respond.

I called AA Garage Door at the very end of the business day on Wednesday, and they were out here the very next day to fix the door for us, which really impressed me. I was a little nervous after having read reviews of other businesses that try to upsell, so I really appreciated that they were honest and tried to do the job for us as cheaply as possible. The guys ended up replacing both cables and springs for us and it works great! I was able to use an Angie's List coupon for their $49 Garage Service Call, and that went toward the work they did. We are very satisfied.

We've used AA Garage Door twice now. They're quick to respond and it's easy to schedule a time for them to come that's convenient for us and our work schedules. They had Saturday appointments, which was huge help to us. We had one broken spring, which they replaced. They also replaced a second spring because it was just a matter of time before that one snapped, too. But they gave me the option of replacing that one before they did it, and discounted the price if I replaced both instead of just the broken one. After finishing the spring replacement, the garage door still didn't open. They discovered a gear was broken in the garage door unit itself and explained it likely burned out during "spring snapping" episode. They gave me two options: replace the entire garage door unit, or the just gear. They gave me a price for both options. We opted to just replace the gear, even though they warned us the garage door opener probably only has another 2 years of life in it. The only goofy thing was they didn't know how to accept my payment and there was some confusion about it. They ran out of invoice slips and couldn't give me an exact total. They said they'd have their boss call me on Monday with the total, and I could pay over the phone rather than taking my payment then. A little strange, but not a big deal. The boss did call me a few days later and said, "My guys can't remember if you gave them a check." I hadn't, but I thought it was strange they didn't remember that. So, I just settled it over the phone with my credit card. All was good.

Good, what I expected

replaced door rollers, lubricated necessary areas,replaced bottom door seal,gave me advice on when and how to lubricate springs, rollers and hinges. what works best for lubrication.
