AA Garage Door Service

I called several garage door companies and they absolutely refused to tell me the projected cost of fixing the problem that I described clearly. They talked about truck charges, minimum initial rates , etc. But no real idea of how much the job might cost I asked one about their hourly rate was and they replied "We dont have an hourly rate, we have an activity rate and it's just impossible to tell what actvities wil be involved." Finally I called AA. The owner said "Sure, it woulds like one of you cables is broken. We feel its a good idea to replace both at the same time. We will be out tomorrow (two days after Christmas) and barring no other problems, the bill will be $129," His repairman,Chris came when he was expected. He seemed pleasant,knowable, and efficient. He spotted several other issues that could become problems and fixed them without charge. And the bill was exactly what he said it would be. I wont forget AA in the Twin Cities and I will tell all those folks I work with (I'm a realtor in the Twin Cities) that AA is th place to call

Rain in December and my garage door won't open so I can get my car out of the elements. Called AA Garage Door Service around 11am and they said they could fit me in with a window of 2pm-7pm. Great! They were there by 3pm, had the opener fixed and the door attachment reinforced in half an hour. I've worked with AA Garage Service before and they are always on time, professional, do only what needs to be done and have reasonable rates.

I called Friday evening and the serviceman was there by 2 PM Saturday. He was very knowledgable, eager to answer questions, and energetic. All the work was completed in a little over 1 hour. I am very satisfied and recommend you try AA Garage for your garage door service.

I 1. Read reviews on Angie's list. 2. Picked this company. 3. Prompt return call from company owner. 4. Worked around my crazy schedule even with their full calendar. 5. Company rep arrived early, polite and professional. 6. Not wearing any company ID but readily showed me drivers license. 7.Made sure he had the correct product,told me how long it would take for install. 8. Finished job early. 9. Picked up debris and took all old opener components with him. 10. Showed me how everything worked and had me privately code the key pad. My recommend? Great company. Spend the extra money and get the belt drive. It's QUIET compared to the grinder I had before. The neighbors love it too (live in town house). Now if only they would buy one... PS Don't forget there is a $15 dollar Angie's discount on this service.

I was very impressed that I got a call within minutes of putting a message out on Angie's List that I wanted an estimate. Someone came out the very next day to walk us through the options. Within 3 weeks of my initial call we had the door and opener installed. It was a bit of a bummer that the poor guy was by himself to install the door and ended up being here all day. However I would have preferred that than no one showing up at all. I had an overall great experience and I would definitely recommend them.

I had verbally contracted with another company to replace my garage door springs on 5 October 2011. That business missed the appointment and I told the representative that I no longer needed its services. At that point, I consulted Angie's List and found AA Garage Door Company. Calling Dave at AA on 5 October 2011, I made an appointment for 6 October. Sean showed up, on time, and replaced my garage door springs. Additionally, he lubricated the door's moving parts. He also repaired my garage door remote control -- at no cost. Within 30 minutes after his arrival, he was finished and off to his next appointment. Sean is a personable young man who performs his tasks in a most professional manner and, although he had three additional appointments after he finished my job at 4:00 p.m., he took the time to discuss the door and also to be cordial. That's a very good quality. I am VERY satisfied with the experience and I intend to use AA Garage Door Company for my future garage door-related needs. BRAVO!

After getting several bids I thought that this company gave me the best quality door for the money, especially after using an Angie's List coupon. I have no complaints - they came out to install when they said they would, it took the amount of time they said. Since the door is only a couple months old I can't comment on responsiveness to problems but I assume that I will be satisfied with that as well. I'm happy!

They were not bad. They did come on time. He was nice and professional. Overall experience was good.

It went fine. They came out quickly and seemed to do a good job in a short time. I wasn't there but I didn't hear any negative feedback. The price was fine.

I had sent an email to Dave at 9:15 pm last week, expecting that he will call me next morning. I received a call within 10 minutes. We set up a time within two days. Dave arrived on time. But I was late to reach my home to open the garage for him. Dave quickly tested the old garage door opener, and confirmed my doubt that the opener was indeed dead. His charge was reasonable, and lower than what I was anticipating. His charge included the 1/2 HP opener and installation. He told me that the installation will be done in an hour. He was fast, and the work was done in 45 minutes. He cleared away the boxes and the old unit. He showed how to operate the remote and instructed how to use the control in our cars. He even offered to come back again if we had difficulty in programming the cars. I am very pleased with his work. Now I am thinking to ask Dave to come back and install an opener on the single car garage door.

They were great. Their price was very reasonable. I was very pleased with their work. They were out the next evening and it was one day turn around.

I choose this company over another with very good ratings that offered a discount on service calls because the ratings for punctuality and responsiveness for AA Garage were very good. I called on Thursday to set up a service appoint for the following Wednesday. I needed that day specifically as my husband had the day off and could be at home to discuss the issues for troubleshooting. I was impressed with the accommodation for that particular day. During the course of the call, the date and day of the week was mentioned, confirmed and reconfirmed by me. I was given a window of time from 10-2 for the service call. Wednesday came, and went. No call; no one showed up. There were other projects that could have been worked on and instead my husband spent the majority of the day waiting for no one to show up. He called after 3 and there was a long wait time to find the work order and to determine what happened. There was no date written on the work order. There was not much done in the way of making things right other than "I apologize" or an offer to reschedule to Thursday or Saturday, both of which wouldn't work with our work schedules. There was no offer of a discount on a date and time that would work with our schedule. Poor form.

I called AA Garage Door right after I discovered that the garage door wouldn't open when I pressed the garage door opener. They were able to come out to my house that afternoon. They took one look at the door, and diagnosed a broken spring. It took them about 20 minutes to replace the spring. They were very professional and polite.

They returned phone calls on time, did what they said they would, they were running a little late when I was waiting for the installation and they called and indicated they would be a little late. The guys were great, left my garage clean and no extra parts anywhere. They explained what I needed to do semi-annually and made sure I had the owners manual. THIS WAS A GREAT JOB.

Responded to email within minutes. Able to set up appt for next business day. Came when expected. Performed what was needed to correct and prevent issues very quickly.

Easiest word to describe experience would be EXCELLENT! First off, garage door opener track came loose from the wall. Husband reattached it but door would not come down completely unless button was held when activated. Consulted manual, made recommended adjustments, but to no avail. Called AA Garage Door Service. Sean arrived on-time and was professional, courteous, knowledgeable. He explained everything he was doing when diagnosing the issue and in a matter of minutes, found the problem. With only a staplegun, screwdriver, and WD40, we were back in business! What had happened was when husband had reattached the track, the wire for the door sensors had gotten tangled around the coil - so every time the door was engaged, the cord wrapped around the coil. Apparently, the first time this had happened, it caused one of the wires to disconnect from the sensor on the floor. Who knew?? Sean unwrapped the tangled cord, reconnected the sensor and oiled it all back up. Service was better than expected and the price was very reasonable, even before taking off the Angie's List discount! Would highly recommend this company again. Kudos to Sean.

Excellent. Thw workers were prompt, fast (less than 1 hour) and thorough. I would highly recommend them. They repaired a part in the opener and also lubbed all joints etc. so that garge door would not squeak and move smoothly.

I hired AA to replace the weatherstripping on my garage door. They were punctual, courteous and did a good job at a fair price. I would do business with them again.

They were very responsive and got back to me quickly with estimates and information. I did not have to wait long for the installation, and it was performed quickly once they arrived.

Fabulous! Very punctual! He explained the best case and worst case scenarios before he started. The springs had come off the header, leaving a mess. He remounted the springs in a stud, rewound the cables and bent the center rail back in shape. He didn't try to upsell me a bit!

We had Olie and Lena's Garage Door in, but they were charging way too much. AA had a bteer price for a better quality opener. The installer showed up on time and installed the opener quickly and effieciently.

I emailed Dave over the 4th of July weekend, and heard back from him within the hour. He asked what was going on, and set an appointment for the next business day. He arrived on time, worked very quickly, made the repair, and my garage door is working perfectly! He also gave me an Angie's List discount, that I didn't even know existed. Absolutely excellent in every way.

Based on several service calls over the past six years, I am able to trust the advice and service I receive from AA Garage Door. They have always been able to come out within a day when I have any problem, and they have given me much better advice for repair/replacement than other vendors who have provided bids. I don't bother calling anyone else anymore!
