AA Garage Door Service

Fantastic service. Good communication through Angie's List messaging, easy to schedule the appointment. Initially, I was going to have a morning appointment, but the weather prevented them from getting here as early as we'd hoped. I had a meeting that I couldn't move, but they were flexible and scheduled me for later in the day. They honored the appointment day, which really made a difference to me. I also provided my own opener, and they were fine with that - no judgement or overbearing sales pitch. Cost was exactly what was estimated; no hidden fees or other charges. The technician was friendly and very knowledgeable. He worked quickly but thoroughly and answered all of my questions. He tested everything, and when he found something that worked, but not as well as he wanted, he fixed it. He didn't leave until he was satisfied with his work. I think this is the second time I have used AA for a garage door install. With quality workmanship, flexibility, and a good value, it's no wonder I keep doing business with them Thanks!

A tale of two visits. The first crew which came this morning thought that the garage door opener was beyond repair based on a quick visual. Because they didn't have the new belt system I wanted in their van, we arranged for AA to come back later today. I'm VERY GLAD the first crew didn't have the opener with them BECAUSE the second crew, Tristan and Roy, actually took the time after talking to me to open my existing system up and try to repair it. It turned out the problem was fixable and so instead of spending $340 for a new opener I didn't need, I spent a reasonable $99 to fix my existing system. Additionally, Tristan and Roy made it clear that if their fix doesn't hold, the company would put in the new one for an additional $240, which seems very fair. In terms of responsiveness, I was glad that the owner answered his phone on Saturday afternoon when I called (one of their competitors and an Angie's List member who I've used before didn't call me back until Monday morning, but by then I had committed to AA). Additionally, both crews were polite and came within the promised window (Tristan and Roy also called 30 minutes ahead as promised). If I had only worked with Tristan and Roy, I would for sure have given an "A" review to AA, but because the earlier crew didn't take the time to ensure that I really needed a new system, I am instead giving this experience a "B."

They were terrific. The pricing was very fair I thought. He left me his number so if I have any problems, I could call him. I think it’s pretty straight forward to put one up but he explained it to me. I’ve had some noises in the track and he explained how I need to spray it with some lubricant to prevent that from happening and he did that for me which was not part of the contract and just the fact that he left me his number and said if I have any problems at all, just give him a call.

A spring in my garage door broke. I had used AA before so I called them. I was told that my door was old and that no parts were available and I would have to buy a new door which they would be happy to sell me at considerable cost. The doors that they sold looked cheap (although they were expensive) and did not match the house which is 100 year old. Their story sounded fishy to me so I called another company which send out a representative who replaced the spring immediately for a cost of less than $200. AA attempted a total rip off and I do not understand the high ratings. Beware.

Came out and replaced broken springs on garage door. Answered the phone immediately and had someone out quickly. Fair price. Not much else I could ask for.

It went FANTASTIC. We also had a problem with the door stopping mid-close and not going back up. Shawn, the tech that came out was very helpful. He could have gouged us for a new circuit board, or even a new opener...but he just figured out that the bulb I had in the unit was overheating the circuit board, even though the unit said I could use that wattage. These guys are good. I recommend them without reservation.

Arrived when they said they would. Fixed the problem and pointed out another minor problem which they also took care of. Excellent service.

Absolutely SUPERB job in every aspect - I noticed I had a broken garage door spring on Monday (10/31) after I got home from work - went to Angie's List and found AA Garage Door Company - I called them at about 4pm and left a message . . . the owner (Dave) called back in less than 5 minutes and we setup an appointment for the next day (Tuesday) between 3:00pm and 6:00pm . . . the AA Garage Door technician (Tim) showed up about 5 minutes before 3:00pm and got right to work. He replaced both the springs, replaced both the steel cables (which were rusting), replaced the bearing plates (one bearing was locked up), and replaced the bottom seal on both garage doors . . . Tim also inspected the wheels, tracks and any other hardware . . . one of the tracks needing straightening and needed to be secured to the garage frame better . . . Tim took care of all of it in about one hour and the workmanship was totally superb. This is the first time I've used AA Garage Door Company but I will certainly call them with all my garage door issues in the future and I will HIGHLY RECOMMEND AA Garage Door Company to anybody who has a garage door issue. They are totally professional, reasonably priced, and customer focused.

I called one day. Sean came the next morning to provide an estimate. The spring had broken and one of the cables had also broken. He gave me the estimate which I thought reasonable. I asked him when work could be done. He said "right now. I can have it fixed in 30 minutes." He did the work as promised and the entire experience was trouble free and pleasant.

Professional and personable. Once job was,set up, the installer came at the exact arranged time and quickly went about his business.

Great! He came within the timeframe, was extremely pleasant and it only took a half hour! I would definitely recommend them.

Great. I have had this door come off the track/cable unwind before. In the past, my father and I have spent hours getting it reset and working. AA garage door service came out quickly, sent the person they had who was best at this particular task and he had it done in a ridiculously short period of time. Not sure how he did it and wish I had seen it.

AA Garage Door Service discovered it was only a disconnected/broken wire. YAY. They could have simply replaced my door rather than point out the real problem, which cost WAY less. Don't find that honesty much anymore.

The service tech arrived early in the three hour window and quickly went about his work fixing the spring. He also replaced the cables on each side since mine had rusted over the years and were impacting the smoothness of the door's tracking. Used my 5% off coupon through Angie's List.

He knew this particular brand of garage door opener and proceeded to expertly correct not only the problem and repaired the chain tension as well as the cables which leveled the door. It now works better than ever. What's more the cost was a fraction of what I've paid for past door repairs. We've had a number of service people (plumbers; electricians; etc.) out and I have a short list of those I recommend. AA Garage Door and particularly Shawn is on that list. 5 Stars!!!

My door was stuck half opened. Door opener stopped working and I couldn't get it down manually. They came right out, got the door down and came the next day to replace the opener. Service man was friendly and professional.

It didn't work out so good. I emailed them and they came over and basically said that you're unable to do this service because it's to upgrade a garage door. Our garage door wasn't working so they weren't able to do the service. I sent them a message asking for a refund but I haven't heard anything back. They said the only thing they could do was to replace the garage door. They did respond to the initial purchase. They showed up unannounced.

He called before he entered my garage and I received a call 40 minutes later saying he was done.
