+ 0 moreMarv and his crew were on time and put in very full days, often starting before 8am and finishing after 5pm. They worked efficiently and cleaned up the work area each day. Marv was very responsive and worked well with the other contractors' schedules. He treated our house like it was his own - maybe better. He came back the saturday after pouring the garage slab and the evening after finishing the driveway and spent hours on finishing touches. We was passionate about pitch and drainage. Everything looks great and we couldn't be happier. We got 3 bids for this work. The highest was Hage concrete, around the corner from us, at almost double the two lowest bids. Marv's bid was almost identicle to the other bid we seriously considered.
Description of Work: Removed blacktop driveway; machine compacted, graded, and formed for new driveway. Poured 4in. of 4500# concrete, with fibremesh. Broom finished. 106 lin. ft. X 9ft. to 11ft. (Poured up to house.) to 13ft. to 18ft. wide at garage. Machine cut in control joints the next day. Tore out and replaced 20ft. X 20ft Garage slab Removed 4in. of bad soil, and replaced with crushed concrete. Machine compacted. Poured 4in. of 4500# concrete, with fibremesh. Smooth finish. Applied sealer. Machine cut in control joints the next day. Removed and built front walkway steps with buttress sidewalls 2.5ft. X 14ft and 2.5ft X 20ft walkway. Same spec as above. Removed and replaced carriageway (short path between sidewalk and street in boulavard strip) Repaired cracked and uneven concrete step and capped landing and 4 stairs with new concrete.
