It is difficult to evaluate the final quality, but they started with a good checkout of the house and seemed to be using good materials. They tried to foam seal all holes through the ceilng for electricals and vents. They put in new chutes for circulation and added a new, thick layer in the attic.

Brian was very responsive and his team did a great job. Spray foam is messy stuff but they did a great job installing it and they cleaned up the basement nicely when they were done. I had to reschedule a couple of times and they seemed more than willing to accommodate my schedule and some delays due to some electrical work I was finishing up. Overall, they did a great job and I would highly recommend them.

Went great. Their bid was a lot lower than another company and they did an excellent job. All phases of the work, planning, scheduling etc was terrific.

Brian the owner was very informative for the initial consultation. His crew that did the work were punctual and friendly. They did not explain the process well from beginning to end. This would have been nice to know. The insulation works beautifully. The application process is messy and it was impossible to prevent some spray foam from getting on things it wasn’t supposed to.

They did a great job and completed the work in less than a day. I had a terrible ice dam (12" of ice) on the north side of my house prior to having this work done. So far this winter there has been ZERO ice buildup anywhere on my roof. Considering it has been a very cold winter and there is about 20" of snow on the roof the air sealing, insulation and venting methods they use are obviously very effective. Energy use is down and I received a $300 rebate from Ecel Energy. I had one other quote that was a bit higher but I was not convinced they would provide any better product than Brian.

I needed to find an experienced and knowledgeable insulating company that would do the job right the first time and also charge a reasonable fee for the work. I think I found all that with Brian Lewis, his wife Nancy who runs the office, and his insulating team. I bought a house last year with a story and a half and it had almost no insulation and was very cold and drafty last winter and would be complex to insulate. I consulted with Brian about how to get an excellent result and still keep the price down as much as possible. Brian was easy to communicate with and he quickly got a bid to me and suggested that as long as they were foaming the slants that I might as well get the rim joists done in the basement. The price seemed right and I was very happy to know that would be done as well. I contacted Brian as soon as the demo work was done upstairs and he gave me a date about 2 weeks out, for my work to be done. It has been a terribly cold winter and the middle of December and I know they were swamped. They came right on time, got it done in 2 days, poly one day and blown in the next day. I have asthma and was very pleased that the foaming left the house with only a faint smell for a couple days and then was completely gone. The crew did a nice job of cleaning things up but I definitely had to dust the house after the job was done. My contractor agreed that the job looked like it was done right but told me that the drywall guy needed me to get some of the foam cut down so the drywall would lay flat. I called up Brian and they came right over and took care of the problem. What happened, as I understand it, was that the blown in insulation needed to be blocked off where it met the slant roof and they did that with a row of foam and some of that foam swelled up a little bit too much. At least I think that's what it was - this is all new to me! It is 4 degrees outside as i write and my house is so much cozier. I noticed right away that the air in the house was still and before the insulation it was noticeably drafty all winter long. My old furnace doesn't run nearly as long and heats up so much more quickly. The job was thorough and skillfully done and I am very pleased with the results.

I have an older 1900 home, and it did not have an ounce of insulation up in the top half story/attic. Lewis Insulation came to give me a bid back in December, which was thorough, competitive and provided quickly. I scheduled an appointment for January 3rd, and the team arrived right on time. I left the team in my house to finish the work while I went to work, and they locked up on their way out. I got home from work to a clean, well insulated house! I'd recommend working with this company. They were prompt and professional through the whole process, and I think we finished the attic insulation in the nick of time before the polar vortex came into town...

They were good and they did a really nice job. The price was fair for what they did. They did a really nice job and they were thorough. There was some animal getting in the attic and they put some kind of mesh, which was out of the scope of their work. They went above and beyond, which was nice. They were professional. They didn't make a mess. They cleaned up after themselves. It was a good experience.

Things couldn't have gone better with this job! The cost was exactly as estimated, everyone arrived punctually, and the work was completed well ahead of schedule. The workmen were careful and professional, inspecting the ceilings for cracks and weak spots before beginning their work. We were amazed to find there was no mess to clean up at all, when they'd finished the job! Nancy, who works in the office, did a super job of helping us with the rebate forms, too. We have already recommended Lewis Insulation to friends and will continue to do so in the future. We have noticed how much warmer our house is now, and this winter has definitely been a great test of the new insulation!

Their price was originally higher than a competitors, so I asked if they would work with me on the price, which they did. They arrived on time (7am) the day work began and were out before 4. They ran floor protectors in traffic areas and cleaned up well once the work was complete. They sent all the paperwork I needed to receive my energy rebate shortly after the work was completed. It was really nice to receive the paperwork all filled out with all of the attachments I needed already there. All I had to do was fill out a couple of items (which they highlighted) and mail the forms in.

This is the reason I belong to Angie's list, to find companies like Lewis Insulation. From the time of our first contact, to Brian's walk-through and estimate, to the work performed, we couldn't be happier. We have had an awfully lot of work done over the years, from building a home,large scale remodels as well as smaller home improvement projects and maintenance. Lewis definitely ranks up there. We needed to speak with Brian about various items after the initial quote; he was always responsive, patient and polite. The quote was very reasonable, but the work they did was definitely quality. We had to add an item the day of install, usually a big expense, as"while we're at it" are the 4 most expensive words in the English language. Brian even had to run out to get Tybek and drop it off, but the price for the additions was extremely reasonable. We did a walk-through to look over their work, and everything looks great. The workmen were punctual, polite, hardworking. It was a messy job, but they vacuumed carefully and left everything clean (and we have white carpet). I will be recommending Lewis to anyone who asks.

I can't say enough about how great the service is with this company!! The price came in lower than any of our other estimates, and they were right on, on the final billing. There were originally 2 dates scheduled to complete the work, and they were able to do them both on the same day, which made it easier for us. They cleaned up so that other than the new insulation, we didn't even know they had been there. Communication was great and everything was taken care. You will not be disappointed using this company for your insulation needs.

Two employees arrived right on time the day of the insulation. Even got a phone call the night before reminding of the appointment which was nice. The two guys that did the work were very friendly and professional. Respected my house and were very pleasant. Were here for around 8 to 9 hours before completing the job. Asked questions as needed. Completed the job and cleaned up very nicely and left the place as they found it. Did a great job.

Lewis Insulation was great to work with. They were very responsive and professional on the front end when reviewing the work and providing a quote. They took the time to explain all of the work they would recommend and why. The staff who performed the work were professional and completed the work to our satisfaction.

Initial appointment for the estimate was timely and efficient. The work crew installing the insulation was early (a few minutes) and exceedingly professional. Their work and clean up was efficient and thorough. The entire job took only 2.5 hours, including accessing one area of attic through an existing vent. I was very impressed with both the quality of the work the price. I just wish I had done it many years earlier.

After calling Lewis, they were here to provide a quote the next morning. He gave me a verbal estimate while here and provided a written quote by email later that afternoon (same price). I let them know I wanted to get the work done by them and they were here just a few days later (and this is their busy season as folks get ready for winter). The installers were hard workers,super polite and had the job done and everything cleaned up in no time at all! I would highly recommend Lewis for your insulation needs!

Lewis Insulation insulated our attic. They were extremely helpful and provided all the information we needed to get a rebate from Excel in addition to the "Big Deal" discount. We are very happy with the results.

We were very satisfied with Lewis Insulation; they did great work. I met with Brian the owner about a month ago to get a bid and felt their estimate for the amount of work to be provided was very fair. Work was completed earlier this week. Two guys showed up early in the morning, and worked through the day to get the job done. When I came home there was no mess, and everything was sealed up nicely - wouldn't have even known they were there. While it hasn't been all that cold yet, I can already feel a difference - house seems to heat up much faster and retain the heat for longer periods. All in all, was well worth it. They are also helping me with paperwork to get a rebate from CenterPoint Energy. I would definitely recommend Lewis Insulation. Thanks so much.

They were prompt and courteous, that's where the good stops. Upon further investigation they piled up the insulation so that things looked good but, upon further investigation, they left fully 3 feet around the perimeter of the room without insulation (which won't be good come January). Looks like they tried to save money at our cost and we hired another company to add the missing insulation back...

The workers came on time and were very pleasant and professional. Everything in the quote was done well and I wouldn't hesitate to have them do work for me again. My house was left clean and I can feel the difference already. I'm very pleased with their work!
