Lewis Insulation came out for work on my home for ice dam issues. Lewis Insulation was to air seal our attic and add insulation. We decided to move forward. Lewis Insulation allegedly performed the work, but unfortunately the ice dam issues persisted. In short, we flushed thousands down the drain by going with Lewis Insulation. Xcel energy performed a home energy audit for us after Lewis Insulation performed the work. The Xcel home energy audit revealed that air sealing was missed during the air sealing process. After confronting Lewis Insulation, the team claimed some of these areas were inaccessible. This includes our furnace flue, which gives off a ton of heat in the winter. For those who may not be aware, this is egregious because of how much heat comes off that pipe. At no point did Lewis Insulation inform me that they were unable to air seal specific areas, including the flue. Lastly, they failed to insulate our basement rim joists properly. In short, we paid to have the team air seal our home and help with ice dams. They failed to eliminate the ice dams, and Xcel suggested we get our home air sealed again. I cannot recommend this company to anyone.

We have used Lewis Insulation at three separate residences. We know and trust their work. Our lower heating bills reflect the excellent job they have done insulating our homes, past and present. They are friendly, professional and always do a great job!

Minimal communication. Office staff not responsive. One day's notice to do the job. I had used them several times in the past. I will not use them again.

I hired this company in 2014 to insulate the attic during a remodel. Everything went fine. This winter I had water dripping from a can recessed light in the ceiling onto our furniture. Apparent cause was there was not adequate insulation over this can light in the attic; condensation would form and cause the leak. This was in the vault that they could not reach in 2014. There is an audio speaker close by so I believe they could easily insulate over the light gaining access through this opening. I called 4 times and left messages over several weeks and no call back. I sent in an online request through their website and I finally got a call back. They said they would have someone stop by to take a look. After 7 weeks I sent another online request asking when were they stopping by. They never responded. I called and someone actually answered the phone. They said the owner lives close by and would stop Friday afternoon or the weekend. I stayed home all weekend. No one ever showed up or called. Very frustrating. If you don't want the work, just be honest and say so. In this economy I just find it hard to understand how a company that will not return calls, and does not honor commitments can stay in business.

It didn't go. We've had them booked for two months and now they back out 6 days before they were due do to start the job. I would stay away from these guys!

Contacted Lewis for a quote. They did not come to evaluate the job nor provide a quote based on photos. They sent an email stating they were not interested because they were too busy. So...this job went to their competitors! Do not recommend.

Our experience with Lewis Insulation exceeded our expectations, they are great people to work with - what does that mean? Prompt communication, answering questions, ease of scheduling and most importantly - they take pride in their work. We moved into our home a year ago, the insulation in the attic was only adequate so we decided to add more, in addition we had the rim joists in our unfinished basement sprayed with foam. Lewis's price was competitive, just slightly less than other highly rated companies. They were easy to schedule, the workers were prompt - pleasant people, they clean up after themselves and since we qualified for an energy rebate - they handled the paperwork with the utility company. After insulating, we had a radon system installed, when giving us an estimate the radon company owner asked who sprayed our rim joists as he thought they were very well done. What a compliment to Lewis! What really stands out about Lewis, is their customer service. As previously stated, we had a radon system installed after insulating, in that process they went through our rim joist into the garage disturbing the foam insulation. We called Lewis asking what product we could purchase from a big box store to repair what the radon people had disturbed, in addition we forgot to show them a 2 foot section that also needed foam when initially done in March. For such small areas we didn't expect them to come out, we just thought we'd buy the canned spray foam and do it ourselves. But no Brian wouldn't have it, he felt better if they would do it; so we worked out a time when they were in the area and could stop by - within a week the work was done. We were amazed at this level of customer service. We would not hesitate to use Lewis Insulation again, in fact we would forego the whole bidding process and just hire them - with their attention to detail, pride in their work and outstanding customer service, hiring them is a no-brainer. We highly recommend them - they are a gem.

Rich was very professional and actually went above and beyong fixing a disconnected furnace duct to the register in the kitchen (which I think a lot of other people would have just ignored and done what they were paid to do). I'm very pleased with what he did and in such a claustrophobic area. Thank you!!

I had Brian do an estimate a few years ago, and remembered his professionalism, so this year when we were ready to move forward had him come out and bid again. Got several bids, but his was the best. Completely clear as to what he would be doing. Came up with solutions to several unique aspects of our job. Job was done on the exact timetable committed. Crew was punctual, hard working and all-in-all great guys. Their office also handled details for us to get our rebate from Centerpoint.

They was fabulous. They were awesome, polite and respectful. They work hard. They did a really great job for us.

I obtained 3 estimates for the attic insulation from well reviewed companies that were approved vendors for Xcel Energy rebate. Other two were at least $500 higher than Lewis. When estimator came out, he seemed very knowledgeable, experienced, and trustworthy. Two man crew that completed the work was professional and courteous. I would definitely recommend.

I have a circa 1946 house with a lot insulation needs. It had been a long time since I'd addressed the attic, and my exterior walls were - and always were - basically uninsulated. It required a lot of work. In two half-days of work I found Lewis crew members to be punctual, professional, proficient, and exceedingly polite. They answered all my questions. They adjusted the invoice downward when the job required less work than anticipated. In addition, Brian's visit for the estimate, and Nancy's prompt replies in the office, made everything smooth, and made me feel confident in choosing Lewis Insulation.

They did a great job! There were really courteous. Cleaned up really well after themselves. Even had a question after the work was done & the followed up installed an additional vent at no charge!

Lewis Insulation was excellent in every regard

It was great! My house is noticeably warmer. They even signed me up for a large rebate from Centerpoint Energy!

My wife and I decided very late in the fall to go ahead and get our insulation done ahead of a residing and window replacement projects. Even though Lewis was fully booked they performed the service in two separate appointments allowing us to get our new windows and siding done. The crew showed up early and performed the work very efficiently. They also did a thorough clean up job. We cannot say enough about how professional and accommodating Lewis was. Great company that we would highly recommend to anyone needing their services.

I should have done this 10 years ago. What a difference as the temp is 0 degrees this morning. Mr. Lewis and his crew were responsive, very nice and super organized. That would have been enough to hire them, but they also beat the estimates of a large home improvement chain and a well reviewed full service home improvement contractor by hundreds of dollars. They also took care of the Excel Rebate paperwork, which the other two company's failed to even mention in their estimates. I really could not have asked for a better experience. Thanks to Brian and the crew for a great job.

Use these guys! Brian - the owner - was great to work with. The crews were super friendly, on-time, and the work was great. For all those with horrible contracting stories - Lewis Insulation - didn't fall into that camp. We had what I thought was a very difficult space to work in but Brian worked with us on the best approach which even required them to make multiple trips but they did it with a smile and were easy to work with on scheduling, etc. The crews showed up on-time or early in some cases and each person really just seemed to enjoy what they did. Keep up the great work!
