Description of Work: I hired Lewis Insulation to blow in insulation into my finished wall for my 3-car garage that were drywalled but not insulated. They arrived on time, did a great job, cleaned up after themselves, and were very professional all at a very good price. I now have a much warmer garage on cold winter days (like today). I will look to them for my future insulation needs. Great job!

Description of Work: They sprayed our unfinished basement walls and rim joists.

Description of Work: They came out for an initial consultation to assess our insulation needs. He was very rushed as he went through the house. After he did the walk through, he gave very little detail as far as what our home needed. He said he was booked out until January and that we would receive a quote via email. I never received said email and did not feel it was my job to follow up after such poor customer service.

Description of Work: Sealed attic, added attic insulation to R-value 50. Took about 5 hours.

Description of Work: We had insulation put up in our attic. Both men were very professional, very clean with their work, covered the carpets,the furniture, and even vaccumed when done. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Description of Work: They made every effort to arrange their schedule so that I would be able to get the State rebate that was ending the week after I called them. They even dropped the paperwork off at my house in order for me to mail the papers in on time.

Description of Work: They added insulation, foam-sealed bypasses (lights, wires, etc.) into the attic, added a bathroom vent, and built up insulation around the attic hatch. They did a good job. The only problem was that when they did this work last fall, they failed to notice one of our bathrooms (?!) and so they had to come back in May (after the snow was gone) to install the bathroom vent for that room. This was ok, but it should have been done in the fall with the rest of the work.

Description of Work: Attic insulation was increased and improved, attention to detail was very good, cleanliness was superb, professionalism was excellent. I believe that their price and service performed, far exceeded other vendors we interviewed. We would definitely recommend this vendor.

Description of Work: Lewis Insulation put spray foam in our upstairs attic, in our Kitchen attic and in an overhang in our garage stairwell that was poorly insulated and caused a pipe to freeze during the extreme cold winter. They were VERY responsive and while they were not the lowest price quote I got, I liked Brian, his professionalism and responsiveness. They did a VERY good job and even told me about a rebate from Minnesota Energy Resources to which we are entitled. None of the others who came to quote gave that info. Overall, very happy with Lewis Insulation and if I need them again, I will definitely call them and recco them to anyone needing insulation services. |

Description of Work: We had an initial estimate discussion with the contractor, but we did not follow-up with him nor did he get back to us

Description of Work: I called them to come for an estimate for insulation repair on our basement. They were able to schedule someone right away the next morning at 7:30 am. I ended up needing to cancel due to demo and insurance delays, but am above and beyond impressed with their professionalism and promptness.

Description of Work: I not sure what to say. I recieved two price quotes for the exact same service from two A rated companies. The price was also the same. What's a guy suposed to do, flip a coin which is what I did and Lewis lost. Had I only had their quote I would have gone with them in flash, I would recomment them to anyone.

Description of Work: Brian was very helpful and explained where we were lacking in insulation coverage and the advantages of adding recessed light "caps" before adding more insulation. The crew that came out were prompt, courteous and great. Everything was completed as planned. Thank you Brian and crew!

Description of Work: Setting up our estimate was easy enough. The main reason we chose another company was because of a lower price. We also found this bid had less straight forward detailing about what exactly we were getting for the price. Otherwise it was nice that our estimate was done in a timely, professional manner and we had our bid within a few days.

Description of Work: our town home assoc had contracted with another company for insulation/ ventilation services. i was concerned about the lack of communication from them...I called Lewis for a second opinion. He was great in explaining what he saw and would recommend. I learned a lot. He would have been my choice but the assoc had a contract...however what I learned let me ask the right questions and get the work done correctly by the association.

Description of Work: Lewis Insulation put insulation in my attic last year.

Description of Work: They went into the attic to put in baffels, add additional insulation up to recommended R factor , opening soffits where necessary, we needed a bathroom fan vented but they could not get on the roof at this time because of ice. They were done about a 1/2 day time frame, cleaned up , used tarp on 2nd story stairs, and sealed attic opening. They came time stated. They returned May 14, 2012 after I called to check on when returning to finish, that took about 2 wks. They had to get on roof to vent the bath fan , did not have to go back into the attic. We were very pleased, nice young men.

Description of Work: Lewis Insulation showed up on time, draped all the house surfaces and started working. They discovered my attic system of air flow was not working because previous air chutes were installed incorrectly. They fixed those and then discovered an area which had not been ionsulated by cutting thru a knee wall and totally insulatingn that. They sealed all fixtures coming thru the ceiling and also wires coming up thru the rim joist.When done I inspected and was amazed at what they had done and how the attic was "breathing". They said and I agree, "You really got your money's worth today!"

Description of Work: Removed damaged insulation and replaced with new. Sealed all that needed to be sealed.
