Their prep work lacked in quality. The tape they used to put up plastic ripped the paint off adjacent walls. They didn't cover stuff very well and got the spray foam on doors and door jambs. They used Staples in the textured ceiling to hold the plastic, which they left. Some spray foam also got on textured ceiling. I think if they would have spent a little bit more time prepping the job and making sure they had the right tape and plastic to cover things it would have gone better.

Rich came out to give a quote. He even climbed up into the attic to see if the job could be done from there without putting holes in the walls. In the end he determined that the holes could be drilled from the inside of the mechanical room which meant we didn't have any walls to repair. The other two quotes we received were higher and they would've drilled holes that needed repair. Rich and his associate were very conscientious and cleaned up thoroughly when finished. We built our house this past year and having to work with many contractors we experienced varying degrees of professionalism---We were very impressed and pleased with Lewis Insulation.

We requested that Lewis remove the attic plank floor prior to adding the insulation so the electricians could remove all the knob and tube from the house. The guys from Lewis removed all the planks and cleaned up after themselves. The men were polite and professional. The electrical work was scheduled a couple of weeks after the plank removal. Once the attic was cleared of the knob and tube, Lewis came in and added the insulation. Lewis employees were very professional and flexible working around the other electrical contractor to get the job done. The Lewis workers did an excellent job. We highly recommend this company!

They were able to come out bid the job and perform the work within 2 weeks. On the day of installation they were here promptly and performed the work very well. When they had completed the work there was barely a sign they were here. The two guys that did the work were very professional. I would recommend Lewis Insulation to anyone. Outstanding. They were $1,000 leas than competitor. Came within week from initial call to provide estimate. Measured and discussed alternatives. Provided written estimate via email same day. Work scheduled within three weeks. Day of install two workers showed up on time. Respectful of furnishings and did an excellent job cleaning up after themselves. Performed the work within 7 hours from start. Attention to detail was excellent. Did a door blower test before and after install to measure effectiveness Company completed paperwork (they are an approved vendor for Center point) for insulation rebate and submitted it promptly. Would recommend without reservation.

We had insulation in our attic at R5 and they increased it to R50. They were able to come give us an estimate and then schedule the insulation install within a few weeks, which was necessary in our situation. The work was performed very quickly and cleanly. They answered all our questions quickly, either during the estimate, via email prior to the work being done and on the day they were here. We would definitely recommend them and use them again!

We contacted Lewis Insulation in late November to have our attic insulated. Their bid was in the middle of the three we received. We went with Lewis because they offered more and we liked the estimator. They were not able to start the job for 6 weeks which was unserstandable. They showed up on 1/12/16. The two guys explained what they would do. They were efficient, respectful and very neat. We have definitely noticed an improvement in the warmth of our house.

It went great. Lewis Insulation was easy to work with and did a great job, leaving everything clean and neat. And the added insulation made a major impact on our heating bill.

AWESOME! Everyone I dealt with was extremely courteous, professional and so pleasant. I definitely will use them again. Had estimate done in Aug. Called to accept the bid and schedule sometime in Sept. Scheduled the work to begin in October. I needed to stagger the work as I had them come and remove the blown-in insulation in the attic before I removed the lath & plaster ceilings in 2 bedrooms. So I scheduled a definite date for that and then tentative timing for the rest. Brian even offered to come out and walk-thru after the demo was done on the ceilings. I took him up on it and was glad I did. The pitch on my roof was really low so he asked me to just have 1 sheet of drywall installed on the celing - then his crew would come out and spray foam the narrowest ends of the roof. Once I had the ceilings completed they'd come back to finish. So....that's what we did. I had to juggle with my drywall guy and that delayed me a bit from the tentative dates we planned. Instead of being all done by end of October they were able to work some scheduling magic and got me all done with the cellulose in the walls yesterday. I'm very happy I chose them to do my project. It's crazy busy season for them and they were always very prompt with replies and willing to make things happen to get the job done - and done right. It will be great to have my 1915 Bungalow all nice and toasty warm this winter and have so much more of the heat stay inside instead of escaping.

On the day for the insulation, 2 men showed up on time at our home. They looked everything over and explained thoroughly what the process would be. They immediately went to work, explaining what they were doing as they moved along. We got updates during the day. We were so impressed with the professionalism and their ability to stay on task over a long work day. We had read previous reviews on Angie's list and we could not agree more about the company, their products, work ethic and willingness to answer any questions we had. So impressed!!!!

The contractor was prompt, knowledgeable and professional. I received another quote for the same work. Lewis was much lower, plus they file the Xcel Energy rebate for the customer. Time will tell if this solves my ice dam problem, but both contractors I met with made the same recommendations. The quote from Lewis was reasonable, so I felt it was worth the gamble.

Provider was prompt, efficient, attentive, and answered questions, all for a reasonable price. Lewis filed the necessary paperwork for the energy rebate. Would recommend to others.

The project went very well! We obtained 7 or 8 bids from companies with great Angieslist reviews. We chose Lewis because they were the most willing to tackle a tough part of the attic with a very low overhang. Their price was also very reasonable. Glad we chose them! The crew was outstanding! Very professional. Very knowledgeable. They really seem to take their work seriously and have pride in their work. If we had to do it all over again we would definitely use them again!!!

Lewis Insulation was an excellent choice for my job, which involved adding insulation and sealing air leaks in my elderly mother's attic. They were prompt, thoughtful, great at communication and very trustworthy. I was cautious about having a work crew at mom's home, but this family business did the work in a very professional manner and left an excellent impression. It was terrific throughout! I had major ice dams and was experiencing problems inside the home every winter (cracked ceilings, dripping water) because of the dams over the years. No other contractor I hired did anything to fix the actual problem. They added turbines, added cables to melt ice; threw more insulation in but nothing worked. Paid $1000 one year to have dams steamed off. I had a full CenterPoint energy audit done in Sept. 2014, where they highlighted all of the air leaks in my home and the fact that, after a remodel, there were an inadequate number of fresh air chutes and blocked vents, so not enough cold air could enter the space. Found Lewis Insulation on Angie's List and am very happy I did. Everything -- from scheduling to final clean up to a visit just this morning to double check a small issue-- was handled professionally. They sealed all openings, sealed the top plate, added chutes, opened the vents, and added insulation to the attic, then insulated and sealed the attic entry point. Lewis also does a blower door test before and after the project. My air loss was cut by ~30% by the time they were done. Now I have no melting on my roof and it looks like most of my neighbor's homes -- just a solid blanket of snow on my roof. A thing of beauty! Thanks so much Brian, Rich, and Lewis team. cr

The guys at Lewis Insulation are great! They were respectful for our home, arrived on time, were very thorough in their work and their price was very fair and competitive. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Lewis Insulation again and I definitely recommend them. Also, they made the rebate paperwork for Xcel Energy simple for us to submit. In addition, they followed the Xcel Home energy audit recommendations perfectly and completed all work as agreed upon in the estimate. Thanks Lewis Insulation! We now have a warm house and are not losing our heating out of our roof.
