He was excellent, he was very prompt and called right back when I left a message. He was very responsive and very nice. I would definitely recommend him; he didn’t try to oversell me.

This company is superb. I exchanged emails with Brady, the owner and installer, and was able to get straight answers and accurate pricing electronically which was great. Some of the other companies want to come out to do a water quality assessment and other consultations which are clearly just a front for a sales pitch. This is a water softener not open heart surgery-- I don't need an assessment! Fortunately Brady was very helpful, soft spoken and knowledgeable. He also seemed very trustworthy. If you want a no-hassle, fairly priced and professional encounter then I'd highly recommend Northland Water!

I have set up salt delivery with Bob and it works perfectly for me. He checks over my softener and fills it at the same time. He has been my service person for many years and has always provided excellent service. When I need a new unit I will definitely call him.

Brady is professional and courteous. He arrived on time and installed the system as he described leaving no trace of his work other than the new water softner. The system performs as described and uses less salt.

I initially contacted Brady from Northland for advice on a 12 year old Sears Kenmore water softener that did not seem to be effectively conditioning my water, and whose display and control unit were no longer responsive due to internal rusting. After looking at the control board and noting the age of this water softener he had suggested that replacing it would be the better route to go. I agreed to go with the Gold level softener after hearing the pricing and benefits of the three levels that they provided. It was not the cheapest but the price seemed fair and on-par with the other companies I had researched. It was not the same price as the big box stores like Sears (but I wanted to avoid Kenmore this time around). Brady was able to get me an appointment for installation the following week. On the day of installation it was one of our unusual sub-zero cold days, and I had expected the weather to delay Brady but he was actually a few minutes early. He was very professional, removed his shoes when entering the house and kept the work space clean. He made sure to coordinate turning off the water with me in case I needed it, and he finished his installation right on time as quoted. He gave me a quick instructional on the unit and did a good job explaining it to me. It was more information than the original installer gave me 12 years ago with my old softener. The water feels better but I will have to wait until later to see more of the difference as my water heater has not emptied out all of the previously conditioned water yet. I would definitely consider Brady and Northland again for any service related to my water conditioning needs.

My softener which is approximately 23 years old, continued to regenerate - cycling constantly. The original unit with the house was installed through Northland Water Conditioning so I researched water softener repair through Angie's List and found their number. I called and left a voice mail which was returned within a few hours the same day. I spoke with one of the owners, Bob, and he knew right away what was wrong and what was needed. He did not try to sell me a new unit and stated how a repair could be done by replacing the top unit of the tank, saving me over $1,000. He quoted me a price of $264 and came out promptly the next morning. His friendliness, professionalism, and service where exceptional. The bill came to exactly what he had quoted me over the phone, no surprises, no add ons. In this day and age, a person with such honesty and integrity is so appreciated. I highly recommended Northland Water Conditioning to anyone who wants superior softener services.

We called Brady again at Northland Water. A few months ago he installed a water softener at our old house. We moved to our new house and needed a water softener installed. We called Brady back and once again it was easy, fast and hassle-free. Brady was friendly, responsive and it could not have gone smoother. I highly recommend you call Northland Water if you need a water softener.

Our water softener was 20 years old, and although it was still functioning, we were starting to see iron staining in our toilets. I had one company come out and they recommended that we needed an iron filter AND a new water softener, to the tune of more than $3,000. I called Brady because we'd had him come out about a year ago to look at our water softener. I appreciate how honest and professional he was at the time and wanted a second opinion from him. He measured the level of iron in our water and since it was below 2 ppm, he thought just replacing the water softener, would be sufficient. We have a well, and have also been dealing with the filter system that goes with that. Brady had recommended changing out one of the filters to a sediment filter, which is quite a bit less maintenance. Needless to say, we went with Brady and Northland. Brady arrived a few minutes early and quickly got to work. He replaced and disposed of our old water softener and installed the new one. He also installed our new sediment filter. When he was finished, he explained everything very thoroughly. He was very professional and courteous during the whole process. I would highly recommend him!

The whole process was very smooth. I spoke with Brady on the phone a couple of times to explain my issue. He provided clear information about his products which allowed for an easy decision. I made an appointment for 3 days out. He was on time and very professional. He was quiet, made sure the old softener did not leak on the way out. Installed, filled, and set up the new one. Mr. Brady Androff, a manager at Northland Water, was happy to provide a quote over the phone, and, importantly, explain all the details and technology of water softening. I am a detail-oriented engineer, and Brady's explanations and willingness to provide details were far above the other highly-rated companies I contacted. Brady was right on time with the installation; he completed the work in the time he estimated. It is great to have soft water again, and to know that the higher-capacity unit would save money for a large family by regenerating less often. Brady walked me through programming and maintaining the unit, and followed up with a phone call to make sure it worked as expected. Overall, I would highly recommend Northland Water and Brady Androff. If you have hard water (above 20 gpg), and your household water usage approaches 250-300 gallons per day, a store-bought single-tank unit will (a) not provide enough soft water consistently, and (b) will be wasteful in water and salt usage by regenerating every 2-3 days. Northland Water provides excellent warranty, and I have no doubt that should I need it, the company, which has been in business for decades, will stand behind it.

The entire process went smoothly -- from initial telephone contact through installation. Brady was right on time, went about the installation -- explained what he was doing / went over the settings & controls with me. Very pleased with products and service.

I spoke with Brady on Monday and he was able to install my water softner the following Wednesday. He was great to work with - professional and informative. He was able to tell me what it would cost over the phone without having to come out to the house, which I appreciated. When you both work full time, you don't want to spend an evening listening to someone tell you how bad your water is and trying to sell you all kinds of systems you really don't need. This is what I have run in to before and didn't want to deal with that this time around. Brady took roughly one and a half hours to install the new softner and have it up and running. He took the time to explain to me how it worked and answered all my questions. I can highly recommend Brady and Northland Water Conditioning.

I had gone to the Minneapolis Home & Garden show looking for a water softener company but got turned off by their high pressure tactics, their need to come into the home and test the water etc even before getting a sense of cost. After the show I looked through Angie's list and decided to contact Northland Water. Brady was great. He returned my call promptly, assisted me with options and gave me a price right over the phone. By refering to his website I knew enough about the different units so when I called Brady was able to answer any questions and filled in any blanks. We scheduled his visit and that was that. He even offered me an Angie's List discount. :-) Soon after we had set the appointment something came up and I needed to change the apponitment-this was not a problem for Brady and we rescheduled for a couple of days later. Brady was on time and very efficient and clean. He walked me through what he was going to do and even offered to move the position of the softener a bit to make salt replacement easier. After he had finished he walked me through the use of the new softener and that was that. He disposed of the old unit and left the area cleaner then when he had arrived. I am very happy we ended up going with Brady and Northland Water.

I appreciated the simplicity of selecting a new water softener, using Northland's website and over the phone. Brady took the time to walk through our needs over the phone, saving us the trouble of a high pressure home consultation so often required to get a price on a water softener. We knew we wanted a basic system (we selected the dual tank platinum model) to deal with our very hard water in Plymouth. He arrived on time, even in a difficult winter storm. He took the time to ask if there were any requests, (location, etc) prior to installing the softener, and answered all my questions after the work was completed. We are happy with the function of our new softener. The water pressure is much improved in the house, and we'll never run out of soft water again. After contacting three companies I decided to use Northland based on Brady's responsiveness via phone and email...competitive pricing and I was actually talking to the person that would be doing the installation. He arrived on schedule and completed the work and left the work space in perfect condition. He explained the basic operation and answered any questions I had then and a few after the work was completed. I highly recommend Northland Water and learned alot about the softener business in my research prior to deciding which company. The very large companies will try to sell you whatever is good for them...in one case a refurbished unit for more than the high efficiency unit that I got. Also rental was pushed...only benefits the company getting the rent unless you are only in the home for a limited time. The prices charged by the really big companies are crazy. Northland provides excellent quality machines at reasonable prices with warranty. I am also going to have them deliver salt when I need it. All the great reviews here on Angie's list are testimony to the old fashioned customer service you get with a family owned business.

He showed up timely, installed the softener effeciently and cleaned up afterwards. He took time to explain the operation and answer our questions.

I called Brady after discovering a large leak at the bottom of our existing water softeners resin tank (which was installed by previous owners of our house). Brady was great on the phone and talked me through how to bypass the tank to avoid further leaking of water into our basement utility room. He was able to come out within a couple days and installed a new resin tank and valve while salvaging the rest of the existing system. He took his shoes off while walking through the house. He took care of disposing the old tank and resin. He was great at answering my questions and even explained a little bit about the system and how to best take care of it. Overall a great experience and great customer service. Would definitely hire Northland again if needed.

Called Northland to request service and was pleased that same day appointment was available. Brady arrived precisely at the scheduled time. He quickly determined the cause and repaired as needed. We will definitely use Northland Water Conditioning Co for any future needs.

My Water softener was not working. It was filled with water and it started to leak. I thought I would need a new one but these guys said they would try and fix it first. Fixing it was a lot cheaper than replacing it. Great Job.
