Morty was very friendly, knew what he was doing and able to explain to us what was going on. Project started and finished in less than 2 days, work area left clean and neat. Deck was not cheap, but looks great, we really like it, and we've had good comments about it. Thank you.

Mike spent 90 minutes talking with us about options and expectations for a basic replacement deck; he was personable and knowledgeable, and never pressured us. His bid was prompt, detailed and the price was competitive. He called to let us know when he'd start the job and showed up on schedule. Mike and his assistant were fast and efficient without cutting corners. Any time he had a question about how we wanted something done, he discussed it with us. The deck was finished and inspected within two days. It's a first-rate job and it looks great. Wish it would stop raining so we could use it!

Mike is a very down to earth guy, gives great advice based on your needs and "if it were me..." type of practical suggestions. I'm very pleased with the work and price was great. Highly recommended.

Mike Mortenson worked on this project with us (after another contractor quoted and backed off due to his inexperience in working with glass railing). His quote came in at almost exactly what was quoted previously but with a lot more experience and trust (which I came to understand after hiring him). Trust is important when you are working on such a expensive project (it was about $25,000 project). His work was top-notch, there was some delay in getting the aluminium railing and glass custom cut (but that was already conveyed to me ) and the job well done. He warranties his workmanship for at least two years (on paper) but longer in reality.

Custom Home Specialties did a great job on my desk project. Mike was very creative and cost conscience providing us with several options at the start of the project. His crews were diligent and professional completing the project on time and within the estimate quoted. They kept us informed every step of the way and made sure that we were satisfied with the final outcome.

This super contractor called me at 5:30 pm, was at my home giving me an estimate at 6:30 pm, & completed the job before noon the next day. Very friendly, knowledgable & professional. I will recommend Custom Home Speciaties to everyone who needs any work done on their home.
