The entire process was a fiasco. Mike and his team built our deck without checking the ledger board or apparently using a level. Our deck started to sag in the middle and we called his team out to look at it. They did a quick fix which did not resolve the issue. We called Mike and had a brief discussion, and he told us, "I don't know what to tell you". He then hung up on us. We eventually got him to come back out. He had an attitude the entire time. His crew admitted to not checking the ledger board. Our deck is lower on one end and has several areas of buckling. Mike had nothing but excuses. One of his team members offered a solution. They worked on it and left without asking for feedback. Mike never followed up. They also don't use hidden fasteners so there are holes in our no maintenance decking. Mike was completely rude and unprofessional. They built our deck wrong and he made us, the customer, feel like the bad people. His crew also took the dirt from the footings and threw it under our arborvitae bushes. I had to dig it all out by hand. There are a lot of deck builders. Do you research. I wish we had.

Mike is a real professional. He knows the business, planning, building, permit laws, materials, etc. He is an honest man. The builders are some of the best in the business. I highly recommend this company to anyone interested in a new deck.

My wife and I chose Mike and his crew to build our dream deck back in February. Our house was being built and projected to be done in late August. We needed a deck as soon as possible because we have two small dogs and itâ s our only access to the back yard. He assured us that it would be done after we moved in and he kept his word. The deck was started the first week after we moved in and was finished within 4 days. Mike and his crew were very professional and great to work with. The quality of our deck is awful, we have to pay someone else to come and redo the entire deck. There was a huge lack of communication about money and quality.. Overall bad experience.

The quality of our Azek deck replacement is very good, and the team worked efficiently to finish the project while my wife and I were out of town. The price was reasonable in comparison with other quotes we got, so we went with Mike and his team. However, after the initial meeting and agreement to go with him, the whole experience was awful, and I would never recommend his company to anyone. It has left a bad taste in our mouths making us hesitant on any future contracting projects. We spent a fair amount of time the first consultation talking about how poor the original support posts were and how they needed to be upgraded (and luckily the footings were big enough). Another draw was the fact that he promised to secure any necessary permits and be up to city specs. Right before the final agreement, we made sure that a gate would be included at the top of the deck stairs. Throughout the whole process, the communication piece was lacking, waiting a few days for confirmation of things via email or phone, but it got much worse from here out. We only knew that they started on the project because my father-in-law happened to stop by our house to check up on it and saw them starting to work. I did appreciate that they recommended adding another support cross-piece which he approved for us while we were out of town. He also asked about the posts and they replied that they must have been up to code at some point. We got home after the team had moved on to the next project, but we weren't sure if they were done yet (no notification or communication from Mike until we reached out a few times asking about the status). The gate hadn't been put in as requested, and nothing had been done with the tiny 4x4 support posts. We re-read the contract agreement, but it was vague enough to not specifically mention support posts. In talking with Mike, he agreed that the gate had been forgotten and would have the supplies and a team out the next week. He then seemed to go back on his previous opinion and say that we didn't need new posts. My wife and I then decided to have an inspection done to make sure it was up to city specs, which Mike didn't seem to be a fan of, asking if we didn't trust him or we were scared of something. We just wanted the right process to be followed. After talking to the city, they notified us that a permit had never been pulled! Mike now claimed this wasn't necessary because it was just a deck resurface and the new railings were pre-assembled. Though he never told us that at any point in the process until we found out that no permit was pulled. He reluctantly agreed to organize getting the permit pulled and final inspection done on his own, then we didn't hear from him for 3 weeks! 2 weeks after when the gate was promised to be put up, with no notice at all, my wife was woken up by a team putting some finishing touches on the deck (screws, etc) that was never mentioned either. So they really weren't done, even besides the gate, and there was

Mike and his team were very professional and I appreciated the attention to detail. They showed up on time, completed the work promised on time and made sure that we were involved in every step of the process. Very easy to work with and the stuck to the quote without any "hidden" or "surprise" charges. Quick, efficient and within budget. We are very pleased with the result. Will be using them again as we budget for an extension!

Mike first gave us a very good inservice on the products he recommended. His price was competitive and the work was superb. He completed the project ahead of schedule and left the site very clean and neat. I would recommend his services to anyone.

Mike was excellent to work with throughout the deck building process. He was very accomodating with both the project budget and the timetable, and even completed the project ahead of the deadline.
