Description of Work: I purchased an Angie's List deal for a garage door tune-up because my garage door opener wasn't working properly, but when they arrived, it turned out that the opener was broken beyond repair. They were able to replace it on the spot. A couple of months later, the opener started giving me trouble, so I called the Garage Door Guy and they sent a repair man out right away. They fixed the issue, apologized for the inconvenience, and didn't charge me a cent. I always appreciate working with folks like these guys, who are professional, friendly, and stand by their work.

Description of Work: I had my garage door opener replaced by The Garage Door Guy. They had flexibility with scheduling, showed up when they said they would and did not try to tell me I needed a bunch of other work done. The cost was what we had agreed for a garage door opener replacement before they came out. Overall, very satisfied and would highly recommend.

Description of Work: They lubricated the door and suggested I replace 2 metal cables which I did. But this did not fix my issue. Another garage door service replaced the gear in my opener and that is what fixed my problem.

+ -1 moreAfter talking to Dean on the phone, I could tell he was quite knowledgeable and experienced. He was the third company I called from Angie's List and I liked him, by a wide margin, the best. I called him on a Monday afternoon and he had a serviceman out there the next day. The garage door and opener work very well and, disconnecting the opener, the door opens easily and smoothly in the manual mode. On top of this good service, his price was a little bit cheaper than the other two I called. I would definitely call him again.
Description of Work: The garage door opener would not work. The gears inside had been stripped out. Also, the garage door was quite heavy to lift manually. The serviceman replaced the gears in the opener, adjusted the springs, tightened the hinges, and lubed the opener and door. He also replaced all the door track rollers as I could see, after looking them over, that the old ones were in bad shape.

THEY DID AN EXCELLENT JOB OF CLEANING UP AFTER THE JOB WAS FINISHED AND IT WAS DONE IN ABOUT 2 HOURS. I HEARD OF DEAN FROM A REALLY GOOD FRIEND OF MINE AND I HAVE BEEN TELLING EVERYONE ELSE I KNOW WHAT A GOOD JOB HE HAS DONE.

I DON'T REMEMBER THE ORIGINAL PRICE, BUT I SHOPPED AROUND AND THEY WERE COMPETITIVE WITH A QUALITY PRODUCT. EVERYTHING WORKED GREAT FOR 2 YEARS. I THEN HAD PROBLEM WITH A SPRING AND CALLED DEAN ON EASTER SUNDAY. HE RESPONDED THE NEXT DAY AND SPENT A HOUR ADJUSTING THE SPRING AND MAKING SURE EVERYTHING WAS IN TOP SHAPE. HE ALSO REPLACED A BEARING HE THOUGHT LOOKED BAD. HE DID ENTIRE HOUR WITHOUT ANY CHARGE. MY NEIGHBORS ALSO HAD A GARAGE DOOR INSTALLED BY THE GARAGE DOOR GUYS WITH THE SAME LEVEL OF EXCELLENT SERVICE.
