I heard a loud noise in my garage and that was the sound of the spring snapping. The GDG installed our door in 2006 and has done other work since. I called them, spoke with Jim, and they were out within 24 hours. Jeff was very pleasant and professional, and very fast. He installed 2 new springs, with a lifetime warranty, and added lube where needed. Probably about 20 minutes total. Final price $180 after 10% discount. Works just fine. Quieter than before.

Garage Door Guy responded promptly, was able to schedule in a timely fashion. Guy arrived on time and quickly went to work. He explained issues with the door that may need to be addressed in the future.

Great service, again! I called Friday and they were able to come out on Saturday. We were not going to be around and missed them, so they did the work and left the bill. They not only fixed the bracket, but also did a tuneup: lube and adjust the door, adjust the safety sensors, and check chain tension. We love these guys, so we keep calling them back!

Very responsive and professional when I called, freely gave a quote over the phone ($199), set up an appointment window the next day with a specific technician named (Scott) and confirmed the AL coupon could be applied (10% discount) and the service would include a tune-up. Scott was prompt, very courteous and congenial. He very quickly confirmed the repairs needed and got right to work - everything was done very quickly and completely, he confirmed that everything was lubed up and ready to go. Garage Door Guys are great....this is the 2nd time I've used them. When your garage door or openers aren't working it's a pain and somewhat of an urgent situation. These guys are very responsive and very fair in the pricing they charge to make the issues go away. Brady answered the phone and provided an initial consultation and quote and Jeff was our assigned tech. Both were helpful in helping me make a decision....not pushy but not too passive either. The other thing I like is that they seem to be quality orientated...if they see something that isn't right, they take care of it as part of the service they provide. In this instance I was quoted $89 for diagnosis/tune up and if I replaced the opener, the fee would be waived. We ended up replacing my opener with what seems like a nice unit (Liftmaster 8365-267) for the price I was charged.

The repair was done promptly, and our garage door now opens/closes more smoothly than it ever has. It was a little costly to have this done, but it is worth it. The repair guy was courteous and professional, and the office staff who took our call was also very pleasant.

What a pleasant experience! John was prompt, friendly and FAST! He replaced both tracks , some rollers and put in a new cable. The price was very reasonable. We were able to use their Angie's List coupon as well. If we ever have a garage door need, we will use The Garage Door Guy.

Very well! He quickly diagnosed the problem as well as correcting some sloppy installation workmanship the original installer had engaged in. Garage door is now markedly quieter and smoother in its operation.

From start to finish, quick and easy to work with. I knew the spring had broke and needed replacing. I called other places and they wanted to charge me to send someone out and determine the problem and then charge me for the springs. They had very competitive pricing, with no hassle and quick response time.

Excellent customer service - appointment made for next day (a Saturday) and the repairman came right within the 2 hour window provided. He knew exactly what to fix and had all the necessary tools and parts to finish the job quickly. This was completely no-hassle! I would definitely use them again and highly recommend.

Turned out the wiring had a short. He re-wired both eyes and also lubed the garage door. Extremely prompt and patient--I was getting an estimate to have the house painted at the same time and he politely waited to present the bill until I had finished with the painter.

Easily fixed and I was shown how to do it myself. Extremely pleasant interaction. I keep his number handy!

Really could not have been better. They offered to come out the same day I called, got to my house right when they said they would, did the work very quickly and it has been working just fine ever since. The person who came to do the work was very helpful, answered all my questions very patiently, explained what he thought was the best solution, and did not try to pressure me into a more expensive solution. He also recommended replacing the cables that were showing signs of rusting, which I thought was a reasonable and good idea.

Ended up replacing the keyless entry. But the technician did a thorough service of two garage door openers while he was there. I really appreciated it!

Mark was our service person and did a great job. Also, he happily answered my many questions. I chose The Garage Door Guy from Angies List because of all the excellent reviews and I am glad to add my review to the excellent column. If I was going to criticize anything, it would be the price. Based on other Angies List service providers, The Garage Door Guy is on the expensive side. And, we did receive a 10% discount for using Angies List, which helped. Bottom line is, I am OK with paying more for quality parts and quality workmanship. This will be the company I call in the future if I have any garage door issues.

I was able to schedule in a timely fashion, the technician was pleasant and professional, and the garage door tune up went smoothly. The professional was able to answer a question I had about a concern about the garage door without trying to sell me more services which made the company feel trustworthy.
