The Cleaning Authority

The Cleaning Authority has cleaned my house several times over the past few months. Generally I am happy with the service, although there have been obvious areas that have been missed nearly every time, mainly in the bathrooms. This was mildly frustrating, given that I specifically identified that the toilets were a hot spot for me. On a good note, they come when they say and they seem to be very professional.

We have been using this service off and on over the past few years. They are punctual, polite, and do a very nice job. The only downside is that you do have to be flexible to having different people each time, but they have a manual of information specific to each home, and come prepared with that knowledge so you rarely have to instruct them. Would definitely recommend.

I've had a positive experience, overall. I've been a little wary of having a professional cleaning company take on cleaning my house. Having different people coming to my home seems a little impersonal and makes me feel a little vulnerable. However, when I got a price quote over the phone, I let them come out to do a free in-person estimate. The estimator was personable, kind, and gave a price quote in line with what was said over the phone. I've had my other home cleaned professionally before at the same price that they quoted me for this house...and it's 2x as big as the other one. I decided to give it a shot. I've been pleased with the job that they are doing. They do nice detail work and i appreciate the rotation schedule. It's efficient and makes sense. Sometimes, there is dust left on nick nacks or a surface or two are missed, but I'm not inclined to do a white glove test with the price as favorable as it is. That being said, there are a couple of instances where some bigger things have been missed like the walls of the shower or a room not being vacuumed. I don't think it's because of overt laziness or anything, just oversight from a new employee in training or general human error. Everyone is entitled to drop a ball from time to time. They've always been very graciously and have made efforts to fix things when I've requested. As far as having different people come to my house instead of just one person, there is usually one dedicated team member who comes to my house. I like knowing she comes regularly. However, when she doesn't come, I still don't mind it. I don't know about other franchised locations of the Cleaning Authority, but this one seems to be making some solid hiring decisions. The employees seem like classy people worthy of my trust. Thanks to the Cleaning Authority, I actually look forward to Mondays for a clean house. I also don't freak out when the in-laws decide to show up spontaneously...my house is clean!

WE look forward to the team's next visit! The house looks great and after using other cleaning companies who were absolutely horrible I believe we have found the perfect cleaning company for our family. They arrived on time and cleaned the house in an efficient manner making it look good as new.

They do good work. I work from home and they don't bother me. They are very professional and get the job completed. Sometimes they miss their appointment times. However, it is rare and does not bother me.

I was very pleased with the cleaning services provided. I thought the price was kind of high, but the professionalism and thoroughness made me feel they were worth the cost. For instance, the drains and grout are scrubbed with a toothbrush. I noticed they even dusted the ceiling fans. My team basically cleaned every surface of every item in the house. I would probably never perform such a detailed cleaning on my own. The place looks spotless when they leave. I especially like the little extra touches my team does every week, rearranging knickknacks slightly and refolding the towels on the towel rack nicely, winding up my blow dryer cords, etc. Even though I quit my job recently, I still have them scheduled to come to my home once a month in order to keep things really well cleaned. They really do a fantastic job.

They show up on the day they say they will. Any time I have had to talk to the office, they always answer the phone and respond immediately to my needs. If I ever have to switch the days, they are always accommodating.

They do a great job. I work at home, and they don’t bother me; I can still work while they’re here. When we have special parties or plan to have company, they’re able to come out then as well. Their price is reasonable. I’ve been happy with their services.

The experience has been good. I can request that the same crew come out every time.

I have been using the Cleaning Authority for several years. They have done a much better job than my previous cleaners. They are on time, and have been easy to contact if I need to change a cleaning date. The house always looks good after they have finished. The price is probably comparable to other services.

It is fabulous service. They pay attention to detail, and other than the fact that my house is clean I can't tell that they were there. They have no problems working with my dog. The first time they came to do the walkthrough they were on time and called to tell us they were on their way even though they were on time.

No less than 2 employees come to clean our house 2x a month. Often 3 will come. we have a 3 bedroom/1 bath ranch -- but they clean for around 2 hours. My mother paid for this service [weekly] after we had our first baby. THE BEST GIFT EVER!! I am unable to physically do deep cleaning. So $140ish a month is WELL worth it. A husband, a boy, a dog and a cat. My son gets so excited when he comes home -- "Momma the MAGICAL FAIRIES came and cleaned our house!! Oh boy, I better see my room!! WOW!!!!] This service give my husband a break -- and keeps me from depression and fretting. Everyone I have ever spoken to has known me, and has been lovely and happy to fix anything I am concerned with [ex. new "green" cleaning items are not as good with showers.] We don't have much money. But we made this a priority. And we are fine with no dining out, in order to have a home that [while cluttered] is CLEAN. This service is a godsend!

After I hired them for a one time cleaning, I was so happy with their work that I hired them to clean every month. I've now been using them for 10 months and I'm still very happy with their work. The quality of their work has stayed the same all this time. I like that the supervisor comes by and inspects their work sometimes--every third or fourth month. I have two messy teenaged sons, and even though I try to pick up before they arrive, it can be quite cluttered, but they work with it.

The bimonthly cleaning resulted in many different people entering my home. They do take the keys back to the office but I still was uncomfortable with so many different people. They use earth friendly cleaning products but felt it was not deep cleaning. I found that my house was still dirty, i.e. wood, slate floors, shower glass, mildew in shower. The company came back to fix the problem areas but I felt the products and constant flux of new people was not what I wanted.

I called them to do a thorough, empty house deep cleaning as we were moving out of our home and putting it on the market for sale. They came out the next day and took notes of everything I wanted to have cleaned. They estimated that with two or more people, it would take 5 - 6 hours. They said they were extremely thorough and even went as far as wiping base boards down. I said that they didn't need to wipe base boards if it meant they were going to go over 6 hours. I did specify that I wanted empty drawers to be cleaned and inside the refrigerator to be cleaned, but not to worry about inside the oven as I had done that already. We gave them the key and left for Nevada. The next day they called and said they would only charge me for 5 hours as that is all they had to do. I felt very confident and good that they had left my home ready for showings. I went back to the house for the first time two months later - after several showings had taken place. I was truly appalled. The wood floor and area rugs still had dog hair on it from our dog, the empty pantry still had food, crumbs and flour on the floor, there were still spots on the wood floor where food had been spilled, the cupboard doors had food on them, the refrigerator had mold and mildew growing inside where food had been spilled, one bathroom shower head was broken off, you could see where they had and hadn't wiped down the granite counter-tops and empty drawers still had trash inside them. When I called to explain my disappointment in their work, they listened politely and said they had okayed the work their employees did on our house and that they couldn't come back after 24 hours had passed as they didn't know if we were the ones that made the mess or not. I fully understand that it had been quite some time since the cleaning, but was hopeful that they would be a decent company and stand behind their work, especially with these special circumstances. I also fully understand that they see no reason to be good to a client that has little potential to become a repeat customer. Essentially, they do not stand behind the quality of their work, or take pride in what they do. I could not say that I would want to hire a company that would need to be told to do a better job every time they come out to my home. But definitely do not hire them to do a deep cleaning if you cannot be there in the next 24 hours to check on their work.

We've used Kathy and Jim's Cleaning Authority team for more than 2 years and have recommended them to others. The cleaning is done well, and you can tell they take their time and are quite detailed. They have a nice process of deep cleaning different areas each visit which helps keep the house cleaner in between weeks. The house seems cleaner when they have consistant teams for multiple weeks - some small things can be missed with new individuals. However, Kathy often visits with the team, and leaves a note to say that she's done an inspection, which we find very effective in maintaining a high level of service.

It went very well. The crew they've assigned to my house is wonderful. I hope they continue!

Cleaning Authority does an excellent job cleaning our house. They clean everything, but have specific focus areas for each cleaning and give those areas extra attention. We have used their service for about six months and have been very pleased-- we're neat freaks so that says a lot! It is money well-spent.

Arrived on time, two cleaners, divided the job and worked around myself and my son. They worked non stop for 8 hours, only asking for a glass of water, as the job was taking longer than originally estimated. They used their products, except for the wood floor cleaner, which I wanted them to use. The end result was a very clean house.
