The Davey Tree Expert Company

I thought they were very thorough, I would definitely higher them back. The was the first time I had them do it. My only complaint would be that they did not tell me how long it would last, by Fall it needed to be done again. I wish it would last a year. He came out to od an estimate and the estimate held so I was happy about that. They cleaned up everything. Brought their own grinder and took everything away. You would have not known they were on my property. I would have wanted them to take a lot more for the price knowing how quickly it came back.

They came out two years. It is in a bad spot and they took care of it. We did not use them this year. They were responsive and they did what we asked them to do. We would use them again. They do it when it is the right time of the year. They do tree trimming and other things.

Kirk and his crew were fantastic. Cleaned up the job site so well and they even blew out my gutters that were caked with tree debris. I have now hired them to trim another maple and fell a large red pine. These guys are super. Truly the best. Also, zach the salesman is great. He explained what needed to be done for the rest of my trees and formulated a plan for the next year . I will only use Davey from now on.

They were good. They left me a piece of the wood that I wanted. They were professional and pretty fun. We live on a hill, and they had a stump rolling contest, and it was fun. They recommended a stump removal company. We picked them because we were looking for an actual arborist, not someone who just did tree service. We wanted a diagnosis on the tree first. We'll be calling them again soon for some more work.

They came out to give us an estimate within 24 hours of me calling them. Their estimate was slightly lower than the other company who came out. The work was done within 1 week of me letting them know I wanted to hire them. Steve and his crew were very nice, friendly and informative. They asked questions about what we wanted, explained to me what they recommended doing and why. They did a good job and were very pleasant in spite of the -20 degree windchill that day and 2-3 feet of snow they had to walk through.

The job was down to our specification. The price was fair and the work was done very well. We checked with several other companies, but they either did not return our calls or they were considerably more expensive. I highly recommend Davey. Susan

After having a very bad experience with one of the salesman, I was contacted by the District Manager, Steve Kuefler, who did all the right things to make a very bad experience a very, very good one. I am very happy with the work that was done at my home today, but even more important than that, I am confident that the work ethic of this company is exactly what I had hoped for and one of the reasons for calling them in the first place. Steve knew that I had been treated badly by one of the salesman in the area and took the job on himself. He was attentive to my concerns and asked that I give him a chance to prove what Davey Tree Co. is as a company. Well, they didn't let me down. The crew was on time, polite, and worked very cleanly. I am very happy with the completed job. I will use Davey Tree Co. again!

They did a nice job although it took a bit longer to get to the project due to the severity of the June storms.

I had major tree damage due to my lawn care company applying the Imprellis lawn care chemical. Most of my 41 trees were dead or dying and needed to be removed before they caused additional property damage or injure someone. The Davey reps came out to discuss my service needs, took measurements and pictures for the damage claims and were very professional and full of knowledge. They worked directly with DuPont on the claim and proceeded to complete the work in a very timely and clean manner. One additional note on Davey's professionalism: Upon completion of the tree stumping and removal, they did not have enough black dirt on site to fill up all of the holes they contacted me later that same evening and told me they'd be out later in the week to complete the filling. This was completed as stated and Davey even gave me a little extra dirt to work with! I highly recommend Davey for any tree removal needs you may have in the future.

I decided to do the work myself but it was good visit. I thought the price was a little high but I didn’t have anyone else come out. I might use him in the future.

Dealing with Davey Tree was easy, professional and they did an excellent job.cleaned up afterwards, no problems at all.

I called the Davey Tree Company and we set up a time for someone to come out and give me an estimate. Scott showed up on time and gave me an estimate after we walked around the yard and he told me what he would recommend we get done in the yard. It was very overgrown and the trimming needed to be done long ago. We agreed on the price and he said he would set up the time when he got back to the office but it most likely would be in about 3 weeks. A few days later, he called and said the trucks were going to be in my area the next day if I would like to get the job done sooner than later. The next day, the trucks and men appeared. Within about 2 hours, the entire job was complete and they were gone. I got a thank-you note for choosing them to accomplish the job a few days later. I have used this company before to fertilize the trees and shrubs many years ago. I am impressed with their work and would use them again. I highly recommend them.

.Everything went as planned. They had actually contracted an estimate from last fall for feeding all of my pine trees and that is something you do in spring and so they came to do that. They called ahead of time. I knew I had a standing appointment but I did not know when they were coming so they called. The technician who came out was very knowledgeable, very courteous and very professional. I will use them in the future.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience with Davey from start to finish. I submitted a request for quote via their web site. The e-mailed me right away and we talked and agreed on a date for an estimate. They showed up on time, were very knowledgeable and professional. I got an estimate on the spot and it was extremely fair. I had a huge amount of brush and buckthorn to be removed and a number of trees to be trimmed, some around power lines. The were able to come about a week after I received the estimate. They showed up as promised and finished the job in one day. They left everything looking good. I have had experiences with undesireable tree companies in the past and this was really refreshing. I would recommend them in a minute and I will use them every time I have my trees trimmed.

They were very professional and did a great job.

They are very reputable. They are very good. They don?t make appointments. They just announce that they would be coming, may be twice in the spring or once in the summer. There are no appointments because they don?t have to get into the house, so it?s that kind of a thing. They just come up with their truck, pull the hose off and spread their insecticides. I actually called them. The first thing they did was, they came out and felled the tree off the house. It was leaning there and I was afraid it might finally decide to go and pull some more things with it. So they came out and cut it off and cut it up. I told them when they come and do that, to give me a price to take the whole tree down. They came and they did that. I called my wife and she said they came and did that. When I came home the tree was gone. There was just a little sawdust left behind. I had them give me a split bill, which split the cost of taking the tree off the house. I submitted the insurance whereas the cost of pulling the whole tree down was a bit more. We?ve been very happy with Davey tree services. We have this beautiful tree ineffectively and since they?ve been coming the tree is looking so much healthier. They?ve kept it going for us. I would use their services again in the future.

They had arborists that were very knowledgeable about what the trees needed. They were very skilled in diagnosing what the problem was.

They took off more than we wanted, but was ok. Not very professional somewhat rude. A month later after I paid my bill, I recieved a statement and they said I did not pay, yet I have the canceled check from the bank. Very messed up compnay.

I did not hire them. Two other estimates from Angie's list were lower in price and also had good reviews.

Everything went fine. He was very good and gave me a decent price for a bid and we probably would use him, but haven?t decided anything yet.

They do a really good job. They keep your trees looking nice so that you don't get debris in the yard or any sticks and other stuff from the oak trees. They keep them pruned and they are also very good about spraying for anthracnose which we had in the past. It's probably been about 25 years since we started using their services. They are very good when it comes to their responsiveness. We don't need to be around when they get the work done. They are very prompt and it depends on the weather too, as they can't spray or prune when the weather isn't favorable. Their professionalism is very good as well.
