The Davey Tree Expert Company

I paid to have my crab apple tree sprayed for apple s***. 3x they came out and sprayed. I had their "tree expert" come out today 7/9/22 to look at my tree. It is diseased. Their spray did nothing to protect my tree. And on top of that, there is no warranty! I'm out over $300 and my tree is sick. Don't hire this company to spray your trees!!

The work was done this morning at my home in Minnetonka, MN. It was as 4-hour project The crew was from Eden Prairie and consisted of three people: Christian (crane), Sydney (in the tree), and Keith (chipper). I've never worked with any company as efficient, professional, and thorough as Davey Tree. Showed up when they said they'd be there, worked efficiently, and cleaned up every twig and bit of sawdust when they were through. Can't say enough good about them.

Bill, Nathan and Brandon from the Plymouth office worked on three trees for over three hours. There was a large boom truck with a cherry picker and another large truck for grinding up the branches. They were very careful about not damaging our flowers and plants. Raked up branches and leaves and blew debris off our driveway. They worked hard and did a very nice job. Our trees look wonderful and our yard was clean after they left.

Disappointed in overall service due to lack of follow through and multiple rescheduling of my appointment time. When the subject was brought up, I kept hearing excuse after excuse. I just wanted to get the work done in a timely manner. The company was initially responsive, until I signed the agreement, then came the excuses. They completed most of the work that needed to be done, but not all. The work that was done, was done well. Although, they did not complete the stump removal work and I have decided to hire someone else to complete it, because I don't want anymore excuses. Unfortunately, the overall experience was disappointing,

They arrived as promised. Talked to us about our expectations and went to work. They were done quickly and cleaned everything up. We thought a couple of the trees looked uneven, but it was hard to tell and we're not the experts. We'll know in the spring. Overall, we were pleased.

Great. They cut it down, cleaned up area and hauled it away. Ground the stump, filled in the hole, cleaned up and hauled everything away. They did a few extras also. I asked them if they would haul away some limbs I had cut off from trees in my backyard. They said if I hauled them up front they would chip them up and take them away - Free! They also did some fertilizing and applied insecticide to a birch tree I knew needed help. Great job!

We had gotten quotes from a local company that seemed a little high, so we decided to check with Davey, who we had used before. They came out promptly, assessed the situation and gave us a quote that was actually quite a bit less than the other quote we had gotten. They took care of everything promptly and did a wonderful job of cleaning up the area.

It went great! Trees were removed, brush was removed, and Davey was able to mulch the trees right back into the yard for ground cover...worked very well. These jobs always have some kind of hiccup, and this was no different in that there was more work than expected. Davey stuck to their quote and sent over a second crew from the area to assist and get the work done. I was impressed with Davey's professionalism, their commitment to client satisfaction, and the fact that they cleaned up when they were done. Crew was great. Experience was great. I will hire them again.

They were very prompt and were willing to do a little more than originally asked. Flexible, good attitude--they were a great team.

I was impressed with the sale's person knowledge and professionalism. Also, there was great communication when the services would be completed. I would highly recommend this company.

In addition to trimming trees, we were also quoted and sold wrapping for or Arborvitae trees. However, when they came to perform the service, we were told it was too cold to do this and would need to wait until spring. The entire reason was to protect for the winter. They should have known this when quoted - late November - and not upsold me at the time. They cancelled the additional service at my request. Was very pleased with the tree trimming service.

The visit was great! Not only did they assess the tree in question, but they provided information about another of our trees and one of our bushes. The service technician was very friendly and knowledgeable. He offered his suggestions and provided information without any pressure to purchase any unnecessary services. If we ever need any tree work in the future, I will definitely give them a call first!

Great! Nate had a great understanding of what needed to be done with all of our trees and shrubs. The proposal was laid out so that we could accept or reject each service and its price. The workers arrived on time, made sure they understood exactly what needed to be done and worked efficiently. When they were done, they were sure to talk with me to explain what they had done and any other necessary next steps. Shrubs that they pruned look much healthier!

I've used them for years and years. They're a little expensive.

Excellent. It started with a visit from the manager, Justin Bence, to evaluate our trees and make recommendations for what should be done. Justin showed up on time and conducted a thorough inspection of all our trees in question. He followed through quickly and professionally with a detailed proposal and price for his company to do the work. Justin is highly knowledgeable and a very good communicator. I accepted his proposal and he got us scheduled to have the work done. On the day we were scheduled Justin showed up first thing in the morning with a crew of four young men and some very impressive heavy equipment needed for our job. He took his crew to each tree and explained to them what was to be done. These four men on the crew were very personable and more importantly did an excellent job and worked very hard all day long. At the completion of the job they checked with us to be certain we were satisfied with their work. They were all customer service focused and willing to answer any questions we had. Justin then followed up with a phone call at the end of the day to be certain we were satisfied with the work that had been done. We are very satisfied overall-if you are considering having tree work done I'm confident you'll not be able to do much better.

I really like Davey. They're good. They have been trimming our trees and bushes for years. We like their work. We're always satisfied with it. They do a good job. They're very neat. We call them anytime we need something like that done.

They were excellent. They trimmed two huge trees and some other trees that were nearby. They did it especially so that they could be in the neighborhood so that it wouldn’t cost me more. I’d definitely give them an A, because they’ve been working for me for years.

It went very well. They are professionals. They are efficient. They really know and understand plants and trees. They always clean up. The price is little high but I think they're worth it.

It was fine. I would probably use them again for fertilizing. We don't use them for trimming. We have someone else for that.

It was wonderful. When it was raining, they called and told us they were not going to be there that day. They are very reliable and they cleaned up well the trimmings. We plan to use them again.

They are great. They've been over several times over the years. They give you the feeling they really know what they are doing. They know how to trim trees and they know a lot of stuff about vegetation. The people who come over here are arborists. They know what they are doing and do it effectively. The only thing wrong with them is that they charge a lot. They've actually recommended other people in the area to do some work because they knew they were going to be cheaper. So I have been very pleased.

I was dissatisfied. They came the first time and sprayed and they came very late. They came two days later to spray for the second time and they should have waited two weeks.

They're reliable. I don't have any issues with them.

I thought they were very thorough, I would definitely higher them back. The was the first time I had them do it. My only complaint would be that they did not tell me how long it would last, by Fall it needed to be done again. I wish it would last a year. He came out to od an estimate and the estimate held so I was happy about that. They cleaned up everything. Brought their own grinder and took everything away. You would have not known they were on my property. I would have wanted them to take a lot more for the price knowing how quickly it came back.
