Pella Windows and Doors

It was wonderful. We don't live in that house anymore, but it was a great door.

We like Pella Windows very much. By and large, it was a very good experience with them.

The experience went well. We were impressed, that they worked in the snow, and they had to get out their caps inside and out. We were impressed that they worked with the weather.

Everything turned out great. The door has been holding up very well. The product and service are excellent.

Over the last five years we've been slowly replacing all of our windows and doors. We've used only Pella so far but looks like we need to make a change for the remaining windows. Judging companies is easy when everything goes as planned. When it doesn't that is when an organzations real integrtiy comes to light. Pella has failed miserably. The windows are great, the service had been, but this install that took a turn for the worse. We had the home consultation on April 22 and ordered the windows the same day. The initial installation took place on May 27. The grids in the windows were suppossed to be 3x3. Some were correct and some were not. We called the sales rep Chris Ohland and he really did nothing except to say service would call us. They did but a week later. They couldn't come out until July 29 to fix the grids. They came out on July 29 and they brought the wrong grids again! Finally on September 2 they came with the correct grids. Ordered on April 22 and three installations and nearly 5-months later the install was complete. The sales rep follow up was less than what I would expect from a professional sales rep. He put me in touch with a manager who said something along the lines of "Pella isn't known for compensating clients for mistakes." I told him I wasnt looking for anything major just something to cover the time it took to remove the blinds and blind hardware three times to complete the multiple installs. He said "lets follow up after the final installation." That was September 2 and I'm still waiting to hear from him. I can't believe the lack of professionalism from a company like Pella and their manager. I would recommend going with someone other than Pella.

The Pella representative came to our home and gave us a quote for full frame replacement windows in April. In late July we contacted him to get together and start the process. It took him approx. a week to get back to us. My husband met with him and a date was set to send out someone to confirm measurements of the windows. We did not hear from the sales representative until over a week later. When he sent my husband an e mail saying the estimate was for pocket windows not full frame replacement windows. My husband repeated the conversation we DID have about the estimate for full frame replacement windows and told the sales rep we would not pay any more than agreed upon. That was on a Thursday. We heard nothing from the sales rep. into the next week. So on Wednesday of the next week we sent an email to cancel the contract. The only thing we received from the sales rep. was "Ok the contract is canceled." So based upon our experience if you are looking for an inaccurate estimate, less than o.k. customer service and time lost for your project goals, then sure consider Pella.

It went well from start to finish. The salesman was thorough and helpful, the product was well crafted and the installation went smoothly. The door interior was wood.

Everything went very well. The team was great to work with. We have a special faux texture on the walls of the porch and I was worried about damage with the install, but the team says very careful. We love the doors and would definitely choose Pella in the future.

Great, on time delivery and service. Installation was great. Not sure why this inquiry was sent as our dealings with Pella was at least 1and1/2 years ago.

Basically, the price, order and installation went well. We did have issues getting the screens for a some windows for a couple months, but they eventually showed up. A high quality product that we attempted to use again in our MIchigan home, but had difficulties getting a timely bid. Anderson out-sold Pella there.

One set was incorrectly ordered and had to be reinstalled. Correction effected without problem except for delay. Several years after installation experienced wood rot on one section. Replaced under glass/material warranty, but had to pay several hundred for replacement labor even though defect was in wood. Also had one nominal water leak from installation, corrected under warranty. Like the insulation concept but internal screens sometimes present a problem with bugs. New inner panel retention clips much easier to use than older version.

The custom order for both the from entry dooe with side lights and upper half circle window above the door, as well as the specialty order patio dooe to deck when well. The installation of the front entry door with one install crew went without a hitch. The installation of the patio door went well, except the install crew was not as professional as the install crew that installed the front entry door. Overall, very pleased with the product & the time to remove old door units and install the new un units.

We are seniors and during our almost 50 years of marriage, we have owned three homes. When it comes time to replace windows or doors, we have always bought Pella. We have never been sorry. Pella windows and doors are not cheap, but you truly get what you pay for. The install crews are the best, always polite, considerate and never leave a mess behind. They also adher to the schedules given. Never once have they been late or called to cancel. Simply cannot say enough good things about Pella!

It was good. I used them before. They were very professional and did a really fine job.

I was pleased with their installers so far and very pleased with the windows and door. They are a little high, but I think their quality is a little higher than some other vendors.

We've done it twice. We did quite a few windows. The product seemed very good. They very much care about their reputation. We had some issues and they did fix them for us until we were satisfied so I wouldn't have a problem recommending them. They weren't perfect. We spent thousands of dollars.

The first attempt at this install was met with a 1.25 inch vent pipe below the sill (a larger window was replacing the old one). They crew buttoned up the hole - reinstalled the old window, and waited for me to call to say the pipe had ben moved. There was no additional charge for two visits. The pipe was moved in two days, however the crew was not able to return for approx 2.5 weeks. This is the third time Pella has been to our home. Their architecture series is the closest match to our original windows I’ve been able to find.

We have used their services twice before for the installation of windows over the course of a few years. The product has been fine. As I recall, they were here when they said they would be. They completed the work in about half of a day and they cleaned up pretty well. The house is older and it can get little tricky to match up everything. They did the best that they could and it was a good job. I don’t have any major complaints. We are currently having another contractor install another Pella window for us as well.

The crew was made up of great guys! My wife was pregnant at the time and she couldn’t assist me with moving any furniture. They helped me with moving items and furniture out of the way. They went above and beyond. They spent two days on the job. They were there when they said they would be and they completed it. Everything was just as they said it would be from the time frame to the cost. The city had to come in and inspect the workmanship afterwards. When they come in to do the inspection, they also make sure there are carbon monoxide detectors and smoke alarms. Included with the project, they installed all of the alarms. The finish of the work they did was excellent. It was an awesome experience.

The product is good. I think that the product is as good an Anderson window. They completed the work in one day and cleaned up well.

The installers and coordinator were excellent. They called when they were on the way, arrived on time, kept me informed throughout, and also gave me a thorough explanation of what they had done when they were finished. Very professional and thoughtful.

This was the first time I had used the used the company and I chose them base on their reputation. With most sliders, the screen is on the outside. With Pella’s slider, it is on the outside and the screen is on the inside. Bugs can get trapped in it and get into my home. The installers they subcontracted for the work. They were excellent and they did a great job all the way around. Everything worked out fine. I would hire the installers again as an independent company. However, I don’t think that I would buy Pella door again.

We chose them based on their reputation and the style of doors that they offered. They completed the job in about two days and they did a good job of cleaning up. Everything turned out fine.

The windows themselves are good. You can order them already finished with trim and varnishing. There are a little more expensive than other companies. The work that they did was okay. A year later when they came out to install more windows, they had to replace the sheeting around a large picture window. The initial installers had installed it incorrectly and had to replace it. While there were there, they found that the frame under another window that they were installing had rotted out. When I asked if they were going to replace that fill plate, they said they were not going to. They had to inquire with their foreman after I had to insist before agreeing to replace the fill plate. The workers were not skilled, professional, and did not know what they were doing. You should assume that the installers are professional. However, they don’t have their own installers and they hire subcontractors for all of the installations. The issue with them is that they don’t know how the installers are working. I would consider using their services in the future only because of the quality and pre-finished windows they offer with their product.

I chose them after reading their reviews on consumer reports and Angie's List. They completed the work in two days. They cleaned up after the job was complete and they left some building materials behind. Everything worked out great!
