Professional and timely. Worked quickly and did a great job. Reasonably priced and gave us a free quote.

All went well. Work was performed while my husband and I were at work so I do not have details as what happened during. All was finished before we returned and everything was clean and neat. North Star also had to contact the power company to drop the lines before the work could be performed. There was a scheduling conflict so the date got pushed a couple days which wasn't a big deal. They handled all the coordination with the power company which was less work on our part as well.

Having worked as professional owning my own landscaping business, it is essential to have reliable, competent contractors. Northstar far exceeded any tree service I have dealt with in the metro area over the past 12 years.

I highly recommend North Star Tree Care Inc. They were punctual, did a fantastic job on trimming trees. Because it is winter, I can really see where they trimmed deadwood and limbs. The trees look great! When John gave us the quote, he was very honest and gave me good information on tree care. I was also really impressed how they tidied up thoroughly AND as they were leaving, told me if anything was missed to give them a call in the Spring and they would be happy to come out. I would definitely recommend this company and plan to call them in future for any further tree care.

They were very good at explaining what they were proposing to do and why. That made me very comfortable with the proposal. 10 trees were limbed and shaped. They arrived on time as we arranged. The cleanup was super thorough, you could hardly tell they were there once they left and my trees look great. I'm very happy with the result!

The guys were punctual and thorough and they even left the cut limbs for my neighbor who wanted to use them for firewood.

They came out soon after my call and gave a written quote. The work was done in a very professional manor with little damage to the ground. the clean up was excellent.

North Star Tree Service provided very professional quoting, scheduling/coordinating, and removal of a storm damaged tree. They coordinated with Xcel for dropping power lines of my house and two neighbors to provide a safe environment. They showed up with a 6 man crew that used a crane, bucket truck, and two other trucks to cut down and haul away the tree. The crew was very efficient, safe, and courteous. The guy in the bucket even removed a dead branch from a neighbors tree that was stuck about 30 feet off the ground. North Star handled a reschedule very well when Xcel was unable to keep their appointment due to other power outages. Xcel did not alert North Star until 30 minutes before the appointment. North Star immediately rescheduled for the next day a crane was available for rent. A very small nit pick criticism would be phone confirmations/follow up. They have the approach "if you don't hear from us, it is proceeding as planned." Which is OK, but a little reminder/explanation of what is happening would be better. The only problem with the quality of the service was during the stump grinding. Unfortunately they hit the sidewalk next to the stump and ground a small spot into it. Not a big deal.

First of all, a large branch was trimmed off that I did not ask for. The tree turned out very ugly. Secondly, there were many holes left over on the lawn after the work and they refused to do anything about it. They promised in advance not to leave any mess behind. This was an very awful experience and I will never use this company again. I will never recommend it to anyone. UPDATE: Initially we gave an overall D review to the company?s work. The company responded it promptly. From their response, we can easily tell that they took our concern seriously and were really willing to address. We admit that there should be some miscommunication between us and their workers and we should take some responsibility as well for the outcome. Correspondingly, we are correcting our review.

The trees were trimmed up nicely. I had asked to have the major branches left for firewood. However, that slipped through the cracks. The owner stated he would drop off some wood in the future, but has not yet occurred. Hopefully as the season becomes less busy that will happen.

After a June storm that took down some of our trees, I called Northeast Tree just to get on the schedule for an estimate, knowing that they would be busy. They called me back the same day (I later learned from talking to Lynn that they had hired extra staff to deal with the volume of business after the storm) and I explained that the trees affected were in our back yard and not in the way of anything. We were willing to wait for the estimate and the work as long as we knew they would come when they could. Lynn came out for the estimate around July 2 and the work was scheduled for August 15. The crew of 3 arrived on time, took down the dead trees and trimmed the dangling dead branches from another, cleaned up very nicely, and were on their way in under 3 hours. I was quite happy with their work and would hire them again. Hopefully not for storm damage any time soon!

Nathan and his crew did an excellent job. Removed all the branches, cleaned up after the work. Very thorough job.

North Star removed a 65 foot locust tree in our backyard. They arrived on time and went right to work. They cut down the tree and loaded the branches into a big truck. During the stump grinding process they put up sheets of plywood to protect our house from flying wood chips. The clean-up went great. They raked up all the branches and wood chips. They used a leaf blower to clean the sidewalk and street next to our back yard. When they were done there was only a small patch of bare ground where the tree had been. They were friendly and professional. Overall a great job.

It went very very well. We had no damage to our house from the service.

Note: This review was meant to be for the North Star Tree Service but posted by mistake under this provider This is the second time I used this provided. They are great. I called them to get an opinion on two tall evergreens that are too close to the deck. They came as promised and looked at them. They told me that pruning isn't a solution and one option is to have these two trees go. They gave me $500 as the cost for cutting, griniding the stump and getting red of the waste. I told them that I was a returning customer. Due to that they reduced the charge to $400.

A VERY large limb must have cracked in one of the June storms. Friday it started to sag into the street and cars could barely get by. We trimmed it up but by Saturday it was waist high again. I called North Star and John answered right away. He said he could come out Monday between 10:30 and 11:00 AM.. Sunday night it rained hard and the limb came down blocking our driveway. Monday John from North Star came out at the time he scheduled. Jokingly asked if we could wait wait 2 weeks but then said he could have a crew out about 7:30 that night. To our surprise a crew came out at 2:15 that same day. They removed the limb and cleaned up the debris in our yard and our neighbors. Great job North Star thanks to John and the crew that came out.

It all went well. I called North Star after the trees came down. The arborist came to assess. I needed two downed trees removed, both of which were laying on a fence. A neighbor's tree had come down against one of mine, broken branches on my tree needed to be removed. Wind from the storm had broken limbs in two other trees that needed removal. I also decided to have a dead tree removed at the same time as the other work and have two stumps ground out. I was given a quote and set a date for the work. The workers came on time and walked through the yard to review the work to be done. They work carefully and remove all debris, including stump chips. They clean up after themselves. Work was done by noon.

People here are easy to talk with. They offered a fair price and scheduled the job in a timely manner. On the scheduled date, they showed up and got the job done. I will definitely work with North Star Tree Care Inc. in the future.

The estimate was punctual and fairly priced. They arrived and did the work while taking care of my newly planted garden (underneath all the tree debris). They have done work for me in the past trimming branches and consulting on tree care. So, when the tree fell during a recent storm, I didn't hesitate as to who to call. They do excellent work and are prompt, courteous, friendly, and competitively priced.

North Star was quick to respond and sent someone out to quote the next day. Price was significantly under other competitors so I was happy yet hesitant. They were able to schedule us less than one week out which was great. When they arrived they were very courteous, explained everything that would and could be done. They finished the job in less than 4 hours and left hardly any debris. I was pleasantly surprised. I would recommend them to anyone.

The price he first quoated was th highwst, but when i told him what others were charging he came down in price. I took him because he could do the jobin the time frame that i needed.

This was my 1st time using Angie's List. I needed 3 very LARGE Ash trees trimmed. I called Monday (6/17), spoke to John, he came the same afternoon. John was professional and courteous. He gave me a bid on the work and was able to schedule me the same week 6/20. I was at work when the work was performed so I was a bit nervous about what I'd find when I came home. I kept telling myself, I used Angie's List, they have to be good! Well when I came home, I was pleasantly surprised and pleased. The work was done, the yard was immaculate, like no one was ever there, except for the Trees looked FABULOUS!. Thank You so much! I will recommend you.

Showed up as scheduled, crew of six. Worked diligently for about 3 hours. Cleaned up all debris, the big ash looks light and airy now, the lilacs look a little ruff but once they grow back in I hope they will be full and lovely.

North Star removed 3 huge trees and a smallish tree, all of which were very close to our house and our neighbors. The elm was one of the tallest trees in the neighborhood. I called for an estimate on Thursday, and they were able to schedule us for Monday when they were doing another job nearby. It was fast, efficient, and they cleaned up everything. We were amazed! We have had trees removed before, but never with such efficiency!
