Larry was courteous, professional, and followed-up until the project was complete. We provided Larry's name and contact information to others who also used his services and were satisifed--and in turn provided his contact information to others.

They were excellent! They explained everything they did and found many holes to plug! They also set traps which killed about a half dozen rodents in a very short time. They were great to work with!

It went well. My only issue was rescheduling the follow up visits.

With the snow melt we noticed lawn destruction and tunneling in one area of our yard. Larry had successfully eliminated a mice problem in our basement previously so we called him again. He came out the very same day we called and he said it appears to be shrews doing the damage. He set out five 'tube' traps. He returned the next day to check the traps and two had been caught. He then reset the traps and returned in 48 hours to check again. No more shrews caught so we agreed the problem was adequately addressed at this time and we will contact him in the spring if issue 'resurfaces' (a little pun there!).

We had communication issues from the start. I would call and there would be no pick up, or Larry would tell me he would call back and wouldn't. All of these problems delayed the scheduling of our service way past when we would have liked. We finally settled on a date to do the service, and I got a call the same day that he wouldn't be able to make it out. I then called back and left a message (phone call wasn't picked up) about rescheduling an appointment as a last-ditch effort to get something done. I never heard back and still haven't for over two weeks now. I obviously would not want to use this contractor and would like the deal refunded.

He filled a number of potential entry points and found a large "mouse highway" into our house between some concrete steps and the side of the house into the block wall. He filled the area with foam (a bit unsightly) but it worked. We have been actively trapping mice in the fall, and the rate declined significantly after Blackhawk was there and plugged entry points. We trapped a few mice after the visit but none in the past few months. We feel he did a good job that was well worth the money. He also said he would return to run traps but we said it was not necessary since we were doing it ourselves. One negative was that he indicated he would bring some outdoor bait traps by to set up outside the house to lower mice populations in the vicinity of the house and he never came back or called. But the overall problem was addressed by his actions to find the mouse entrance points and plug most of them.

I share a home with my sister and we noticed some mouse droppings under the kitchen sink. We cleaned it out put traps down and within an hour caught 1 mouse. We then noticed droppings in the drawers so we cleaned those out, put traps down and caught a mouse the next day. Each time we caught one we thought "ok if any more we will call exterminator." After the 7th and last one we caught I immediately looked on Angies List, found Larry with BlackHawk and called him. Knowing it was probably the busiest time of year for him, I waited paitiently for our appointment which was a few days from my call. During that time we caught 0 mice, were thrilled, and questioned the need for him to come out. After talking about it, we decided it would be a great deal because we would have peace of mind. When he came he was professional, courteous and knowledgable about his job. I had no idea where the mice were coming in from but he found the spot, sealed it up and laid traps just in case anymore mice were in the home. He put a total of 14 traps out, mainly in our laundry room. I told him I had no problem checking the traps and disposing if need be, as I had already been doing that. After a few days I noticed and odor, Uh-oh, dead mouse. But I could not find it. So I called Larry and he came over a week after the traps were set, found the "problem" and helped dispose of it. He was satisfied that the problem was now fixed, and I too am satisfied. I can't thank him enough for his professionalism and knowledge of the industry in which he is in. I highly recommend him and his services!!

Excellent service and we will definitely use him again if needed. He took the time to discuss problems and explore solutions. We have already referred him to a friend who is having mice problems.

Larry is very nice and easy to talk to. He found three holes and filled them. He put traps in good places. And my favorite thing is he comes back to check them! I don't like doing that at all, so it was really nice! The follow up appointment was two weeks after the intial appointment. That was a little later than I had wanted, but he is very busy this time of year (and especially this year) plus I didn't nail down a date either. Overall, a good experience.

I purchased the $175 Rodent Elimination Package on 10/13/14. The first day he could come out was 10/25/14. Since this is a mice issue, I wanted this taken care of quickly, but I kept the 10/25 date. I did tell him I was going to check to see if another vendor could come out sooner. When I couldn't find anyone else, he told me he would keep the 10/25 date open. Today I received an email that he now cannot come out until 10/27. I wrote back saying I could not wait that long. He replied that it was a scheduling error on his part and apologized. He was very courteous; perhaps a little overwhelmed this time of year. I would like a refund of $175 as I will not be using his services.

Tip - before pre-paying I recommend that you check to see when the work can be scheduled.

We recently began having issues with mice in our basement which I unsuccessfully tried to resolve myself. Larry was able to assist us in taking care of the issues and we've had no signs of any mice since. I thought he was great to work with and I'd give him my full recommendation for anyone looking for help with mice extermination.

Larry is knowledgeable and conscientious. He will work to get the job done. He is careful about pets and kids when leaving his traps (they are well-hidden). Larry has been back weekly to check our traps. Overall we caught 32 mice - disgusting!!! But now the traps have remained empty so we are confident that Larry has done the job and done it well. Thanks Larry!

Larry was fantastic. He came when he said he would, he was very knowledgeable, and not one bit afraid to crawl out a 3rd floor window onto a small flat roof. He expertly trapped the offending squirrels in less that 24 hours and he even came back to our house at 8:30 at night to retrieve them (we expected it to be the next business day and lamented that fact, but we were thrilled when he said he was coming over that same night to get them.) Then he RETURNED the next day to crawl back up and seal off the hole so there could be no more squirrel parties in our ceiling. Larry was easy to schedule and has prompt callbacks, and is very professional in his manner (he calls if he is even slightly off schedule.) I would highly recommend Larry and would not use any other pest service in the future. On a side note, there was a large mass of bees buzzing him during the project (he even got stung). They had a hive under a roof shingle. Honestly, he could have bilked me for more $$$ to eradicate them, but he commented very practically that they really are not hurting anyone up there (once we get off roof) and we need more bees, so let them go. Honest!!! Great guy!

Larry was great! Very thorough and professional! He filled holes to make sure critters couldn't get in, knocked down spider webs and was meticulous about spraying around our house. So glad we found him!

It went very well - I appreciated his thoroughness and approach and feel I got my money's worth, and then some.

Larry was very thorough and plugged up a lot of holes that I would've never even known were areas where mice were entering our house. He then went throughout the house and set up traps, two under the stove drawer and about 8 in our storage room in the basement where there was "tunneling" that could be seen up in the insulation. After he finished, he told me he would come back in about 5 days to see how everything was going and move the traps if needed. About 1.5 hours after he left, I heard the first snap under the stove. Within the first day or so, a total of 8 mice had been caught by the traps. By the time he came back probably about 11-12 mice had been caught and killed. He moved a couple of the traps around and removed two on the floor because no mice had been caught in those traps because they didn't appear to be travelling by them. After he left we caught probably another 6-7 mice and in the last week we have maybe caught one. Since it's getting to be fall and this is when mice start moving inside, it appears that he has done a good job of plugging up the holes on the exterior otherwise we would be continuing to catch more mice. Overall I am very satisfied with the job that was done.

He was prompt and professional. We are pleased with the results - no spiders between the screens and glass in our windows- we can actually open our windows now!

Larry was able to come out within a couple of days of us calling. I explained where activity was in the house and outside the house. The entire exterior was checked for entrances and only one minor area was found and sealed. Then he checked the interior garage area and the entrance problem was located in a hard to see, tight space. Larry not only sealed up the problem area but also to be safe sealed up an area that could possibly lead to problems later. He then went back in the house and set up traps in various places in the basement that we have seen mice and even in some areas we didn't think of, all while being very cautious of the fact that we have curious cats (useless for mice) in our basement. He will be out within the week to check the interior traps to make sure the issue is taken care of. Larry was very helpful with all my questions and I was very happy with the service. I feel pretty confident that our problem is taken care of and would definitely recommend Blackhawk Pest Control to anyone with mice issues.

Larry contacted me the same day I placed a call for help in eliminating my mice problem. He came out within a couple days and was right on time. The first visit he located and sealed up the outside instances and set traps in the garage and the basement . After 5 days he came back and checked the traps and removed the mice that were caught. He reset the traps again and returned in one week to find no more mice in the traps. He came back again after two weeks and again no more mice were found in the traps so we agreed the mice problem was taken care of. If I have any further problems I will call him and Larry will come back again to assess the situation. Very pleased with the service Larry provided and would definitely recommend him to others.
