Installed counter top.

I called many marble places for an estimate and Granite and Marble Direct LLC was the only one who was willing to even come out (the other two said that they were too busy to take on new customers for a repair job). Alex was very straight forward with me about the cost during his estimate. He said it would be the same price to replace the whole slab as it was to fix the broken off corner of our large marble island. I was floored when he told me it would only be $400.00 for the new slab of marble and for fixing a small and large hole in a marble wall from the late 1800s. We set up an installation date and he arrived, took off the old marble counter top and replaced it with the new one. He then cut a piece off the old marble slab to fix the hold in the wall. He sealed the marble and it looks great! Incredible value and our kitchen looks wonderful now!!

I looked at a number of granite installers and chose to work with Alex on our counter top replacement due to price, quality of workmanship, and responsiveness. Alex is straightforward, easy to reach by phone, and meticulous about getting the counter tops exactly correct. 50% down was due at contract sighing, and project was on schedule with the rest due at installation. Installation went well and the granite looks great. If you don't need a showroom experience and can go out and pick your own granite with confidence from the various granite suppliers, this is an excellent company to work with. I would recommend Alex to others due to his high quality workmanship, responsiveness and price, and I would use him again as well.

Alex was intrumental in design, installation and eventual follow-up. We planned a very unigue kitchen remodel and the granite was the feature design piece. Everyone who views our new kitchen compliments us on the granite/counters.

He showed up on time, did a great job and was very professional. He gave me some great tips on maintaining the granite. I would highly recommend this company.

We bought a wash table with a cracked cultured marble top, hoping that it could be repaired. We first contacted a different company based on a Google search, who returned my first email with an estimate but then never responded to my follow-up phone call. My second Google search led me to Granite & Marble Direct. Within an hour of my leaving a message, Alex called me to discuss options of how he could provide an estimate. Since we live close to his shop I ran the table top over for him to look at that same day. He determined that he could cut a new top from a remnant for the same price as repairing the existing one. We picked out the new stone and he had the new tabletop ready in just a few days. It is beautiful and we couldn't be happier with the quality. Very responsive, terrific customer service, and very reasonable price.

I found Granite and Marble direct thorugh a Google search, after getiing bids from 4 other companies I decided to go with this company due to high quality website, owner responsiveness, and cost. I called Alex and he came out the next day to measure our countertops, we paid him 50% down and signed a contract, we chose a slab at Amsum and Ash in mpls. 3 weeks later Alex and his team came by and installed great looking countertops level, well polished, perfect measurements, and great seam. A company like this eliminates the middle-man, by working directly with the fabricator you get a much better price, and more control over your project. Would happily recommend this company for any stone needs.
