Description of Work: Serviceman arrived within the agreed upon time frame. The service call seemed a little on the high side but I had nothing to compare it to and I bought our softener from them years ago so didn't want to chance using someone not selling their brand. He informed me what was needed to repair and left the old parts behind in a bag to confirm they were replaced. Total came to around $250 ($90 approx was the parts). I had to ask him when the unit would regenerate again and the time lapse before we had soft water, hot and cold. He left a detained receipt but forgot to set the time clock on the unit to the current time. When I called him he said he thought that's where I wanted it set??!! That would mean the unit would re-charge in about 8 hours or around 5 that afternoon which didn't make much sense to me. If not for that probably would have given an "A" rating.

Description of Work: He replaced some parts and it seemed to work. But now I am getting a film on everything. I called them back and the salt delivery person tested my water and said it was fine. But I still have a film on everything. So now I guess I have to call them again.

+ -1 moreThe sales rep came to my home, tested the water, and explained the options regarding renting the unit versus purchasing, the cost and maintenance, and how the unit would be installed. The unit was installed in the basement which I preferred. Some other places insisted that the unit be installed under the kitchen sink. The installer was friendly, did a nice job and cleaned up well. I am renting the unit and will probably buy the unit later. Installation was on a promo price of $75.00 including hook-up to frig. Rental is 27.50/month. I was a bit disappointed that the the rent went up right away and I was not informed that there would be a price increase. The price increase was only about 65 cents a month and would not have effected my decision, but I feel that the sales rep should have been informed of the increase before he quoted a price.
Description of Work: Installed a reverse osmosis water treatment. Renting the unit.

Description of Work: A CULLIGAN WATER SOFTENER CAME WITH MY NEW HOME AND I TRIED TO GET INFORMATION TO CONTINUE THE LEASE. THE COMPANY REP (STEVE) WAS TO DROP OFF RENTAL AND PURCHASE INFO AT MY HOME, BUT INSTEAD ATTEMPTED TO PRY FINANCIAL INFORMATION FROM MY WIFE. I DECIDED TO HAVE THE EQUIPMENT REMOVED AND WHEN THE TECHNICIAN FOUND OUT THAT WE HAD A POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE, HE WAS RUDE TO ME AND MY WIFE WHILE HE REMOVED THE EQUIPMENT. CULLIGAN HAS GOOD WATER SOFTENERS, BUT THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS UNSAVORY.

+ -1 moreTHE SERVICE PERSON WAS VERY AFFABLE, BUT THE SERVICE ITSELF LEFT A LOT TO BE DESIRED. IT TOOK THEM A WEEK TO GET THE COOLER TO ME AND THEN IT DIDN'T WORK. TWO MORE DAYS PASSED BEFORE THEY BROUGHT ME A VERY OLD ONE THAT DID WORK, BUT THAT DIDN'T HAVE THE RIGHT SPIGOTS. AFTER TWO WEEKS, THE DELIVERY GUY SHOWED UP, UNSCHEDULED, WITH THE WRONG KIND OF WATER AND TOLD ME I HAD TO WAIT TWO WEEKS TO GET THE RIGHT KIND! I FIGURED I'D BE BETTER OFF BUYING MY OWN COOLER AND HAULING MY OWN WATER.
Description of Work: I SIGNED UP FOR WATER COOLER/DELIVERY SERVICE AND WAS GIVEN A 30-DAY TRIAL PERIOD, AT THE END OF WHICH I CANCELLED THE SERVICE.

HE ASKED ALL ABOUT THE WATER HARDNESS, THE SIZE OF THE HOUSEHOLD THAT WOULD BE USING THE WATER SYSTEMS, EVERYTHING THAT RELATES TO WHAT YOU NEED. HE GAVE GREAT ADVICE. HE WAS SO HELPFUL IN DETERMINING WHAT TYPE SYSTEM WE NEEDED. IT TOOK HIM JUST TWENTY MINUTES TO SAVE US SOME MONEY. HE WAS JUST A GEM OF A GUY. DEFINITELY GET EXTRA QUOTES. GET TO KNOW WHAT YOU REALLY NEED. CALL YOUR CITY AND CITY WATERWORKS DEPARTMENT TO FIND OUT THE HARDNESS OF YOUR WATER.

+ -1 moreTHEY CAME THE FIRST TIME TO INSTALL A NEW PART ON OUR WATER SOFTENER, THEN IT WAS WORKING AGAIN BUT THEY SAID THEY WOULD HAVE TO COME BACK WITH ANTOHER PART LATER IN THE WEEK. THEY CAME AGAIN AND INSTALLED A PART AND WITHIN 24 HOURS IT STOPPED WORKING AND THEY HAD TO COME A 3RD TIME AND THEN SAID WE NEEDED A NEW SYSTEM. WE CALLED THE ORIGINAL MANUFACTURER SINCE THE SYSTEM WAS FAIRLY NEW AND HE HAD ME LOOK INSIDE AND WE FOUND OUT A PART WAS INSTALLED UPSIDE DOWN SO I FIXED THIS AND IT HAS WORKED FINE SINCE.
