Concrete Builders

We needed to replace a stoop that did not have footings and had fallen 4 inches leaning toward the house. I called about 5 contractors and went with John's company because he was in my price range and inspired the most confidence that he was going to do the job right. It probably didn't hurt that he reminded me of my own Dad. He got back to us right away but we realized we weren't ready to pay for it that fall with the other repair work we were having done so we called him back in the spring and we scheduled it this summer. They were prompt and very professional and cleaned up after they were finished. They even returned a week later to fill in dirt between the lawn and the walkway once it was dry enough for the forms to be removed. One thing I've learned is that if you plan to put in a new stoop, do the walk up to it also--it makes all the difference.

It went well. After having another company out to give an estimate, I knew there wouldn't be many companies willing to do a smaller patch job. The other company would either redo the entire steps for 3800 or repair and do a skim coat covering for about 1600, but said they wouldn't be able to patch it. So, I was pleased when John agreed to patch the work. There obviously is discoloration and it doesn't look as good as redoing them altogether; however, for about 2/10 of the price, we now have safe, usable stairs!

Very well, his crew arrived when they said they would. They did an excellent job. They cleaned up after themselves; I have gotten many compliments on the job from the neighbors. I am very pleased with their work and with Angie's List, because that is what led me to him and his crew.

Responded to my call and came out when I requested (the following Saturday morning) to provide an estimate. Spent nearly an hour talking to me about the project.

They did a great job, from the estimate, to the final removal of the barrier. They were very informative during the estimate about our options, whether we chose them or not. They were on time, did the job the week they stated, they would be there. No delays, always kept in good communication about what was being done and when. We have received many compliments and people have stopped by, to ask who did our driveway.

John was here promptly to do an estimate. He did the work when he said he would. He followed up with phone calls to see if everything was right.

John was courteous, honest, knowledgeable and friendly. His son was meticulous when laying the pavers. Job was performed in a timely manner and it looks great. I paid a little more but for the quality it was worth it!

First, his bid was $600. As he charged by the hour, the total final cost came to only $275. LESS than the estimate! We had some cracked front concrete steps, and wanted to just do a repair. 3 bids came in, and John was the only one who said, while a replacement would be much better, he would repair. The others said repair was not possible. John did an EXCELLENT repair job. The steps look MUCH better than before. We realize they will eventually need to be replaced (as all the contractors had said), yet needed a fix for the next couple of years. This was perfect. John also came back to inspect (an added plus) and fixed additional cracks at no extra cost! We would absolutely hire him again.

John and his staff put in a new sidewalk, a driveway apron, and repaired a foundation block at my home. The work was done timely just as estimated. I have received many compliments on the work they have done. My only regret is that I didn't have enough money to do the driveway as well. I like the fact that they did the work as if it was their own home. They were completely trustworthy, I did not have to watch over them. I asked John to do the work if it were his own home, and he did. He even added a curved edge to the sidewalk. I've had many compliments on that. Concrete builders was not my lowest or my highest bid. I look forward to doing business with Concrete Builders again.

Concrete Builders: A+++++. We have a 60 yr old covered concrete patio. The patio is fine except that there is a subtle dip in the surface that allows water to collect after a hard rain. A greatly inferior company had tried to fix the problem with a layer of concrete that immediately cracked,discolored and fell apart. They then tried to nail the cracked pieces of concrete to the patio. They are very lucky that we did not sue. ENTER JOHN AND CONCRETE BUILDERS! He is a miracle worker. He deeply cares about the quality of his work and customer satisfaction. He discussed a remedy with us in detail. He very carefully removed the cracked layer of concrete. He then laid the most beautiful layer of concrete in its place. This newest layer does not have a single crack. It is smooth and perfectly level. He has super rapport with the customer. We could not be any happier with John and his company. I told him that on scale of 10, our experience was at least a 15! Use this company!

John was quick to return phone calls and set up appointments. He was very flexible to accomodate my schedule. He took the time to explain the repair work needed, how he would do the repairs and took the time to answer any questions. Within 2 days of the proposal, he was able to begin work on the repairs and finished the job in 2 days. He followed up with a phone call to make sure that I was happy with the work and to ensure that he had delivered on my expectations. Overall, I was very happy with the work that John & his company did. They take alot of pride in doing a great job & want to make sure that his customers are happy.

John provided a very thorough estimate. Although extra inch depth, estimate came in double that of two others. Went with other company.

They were absolutely superb. These were the second steps they installed for me. They were punctual and had great ideas. The design was really good. They put the steps in exactly on schedule and ordered the railing for us. The steps work much better then the ones we took out. They are really nice people to work with.

Having Concrete Builders out to fix my floor was the absolute best part of this whole mess. John was polite, punctual, explained what he was doing, cleaned up after himself, and as a bonus was nice to my dogs. He even called me a few days after the work was done to see if I needed help moving my washer back onto the new floor!

John was extremely helpful and approachable from the first phone conversation. He explained things thoroughly and pro-actively (plans, terms, time frame) and answered all of our questions. He was able to get to our job very quickly, before the weather turned too cold. His crew was a cohesive team and worked very well together. They left the site very neat. I would gladly hire this company for future jobs.

John was very professional, had good ideas, and was prompt and professional. We decided to hold off on the work for awhile, but can recommend him as someone to talk to.

John came out and did a thorough job of taking measurements and talking us through what the project would entail. He was very helpful and made suggestions as to what might look best. When they did the actual work, they were timely and clean and very friendly! We would recommend them in a heartbeat! The new steps look fantastic!

Middle bid of three top Angie's list contractors. Very professional and prompt in bidding but went with the low estimate.

John was the nicest and most pleasant contractor to work with ever. He called me back right away, was able to schedule to do the work very quickly and was always on time. He and the other two workers were so polite and respectful and they did a great job! John was very concerned about how well the sidewalk would flow and how the total picture with the house would look when done. He made it curvy and it looks really lovely and inviting. I could not be happier with the job they did.

It wasn't a huge job but it was important to us to get rid of it. John took excellent care of us and we're very happy with the entire experience. Would definitely use him again!

John spent time analyzing the water flow issues prior to pouring the new slabs. The work was done in one day. We are pleased with the results.

The work was performed very well. John Reichert was easy to communicate with and had good suggestions for how to address several details in the job. The price, while substantial for this relatively small job, was about $700 less than quoted by another contractor who is also highly rated on Angie's list.

John and crew are very professional, friendly people. He has lots of good ideas and takes the time to listen. He did the job he told me he would do, at the time and cost he stated. From the time I first called him until the job was complete was about two weeks!

John was a wonderful person to work with. He was prompt, efficient, courteous, and a master of his craft. It was a pleasure to get to know him. When we have a future concrete job, we will definitely ask him to do it.

He was excellent. John is very nice to work with, happy to keep in close touch and a man of his word. He didn't mind when the original job was cut down to a much smaller repair. The job was on time, on budget and looks great.
