John was wonderful. He was responsive, super nice to work with, and his work was spot on. I would definitely use him again, and would absolutely recommend his services.

John did a great job, easy to work with, very neat and clean. My lawn didn't even lok like it had driven on. Porch and new step are great! Would recommend using Concrete Builders to others.

I called John's number at 10:00am on Monday, September 30,2013. When he answered I gave him my name and explained I was in need of a new front sidewalk and step and asked if he would be interested in meeting with me. He said he was in the field, asked that I call back and leave a message and he would get back to me that evening. I did call back, left my name, address and both work and home numbers with best times to reach me at each number. I was home from work on that particular Monday, but there were no return calls or messages. It is over one week later and I have not heard word one from John. This is very unprofessional. If he can't be depended upon to return a call how can I depend on him to do the job. If he wasn't interested or couldn't fit it into his schedule then there should have at least been a courtesy call. Consequently, I am looking elsewhere.

Great estimate- performed according to contract-2 days instead of 6. Crew was fantastic. They knew what they were doing. Highly recommended!!!

The owner/contractor came by to give us an estimate at the time he said he would. He explained what the likely problem was with our sinking concrete apron in front of the garage and explained what they would do to fix it. He took measurements and answered my questions. He priced out a number of different options for us, since we had multiple concrete projects we were considering. He emailed the estimate to us the next day. We discussed the options and did a bit of research before deciding to go with Concrete Builders. I called him back a couple of days later to explain which options we wanted done. He said to indicate that on the estimate, sign it and mail in the deposit and then he would get us on the schedule, he estimated when that would be. The next week he called us back to see if they could come and do the job in 2 days, which was a week earlier than I expected, but worked out fine for us. He came when he said he would with all the equipment to do the job. They started at 7am and were done by 4pm. Everything went basically as planned and the problems were what he expected. They cleaned up after themselves and gave us instructions for staying off the new concrete until it was dry, etc. He said he would call us in a few weeks to set up a time when he can come to put a sealer on it. They did a great job - it looks so much better! We are very happy with the job they did and I would use them again for other concrete projects.

Did it in about a week from estimate date. Finished the job in just one day. Really looks great.

Two Storms summer 2013 resulted in water in basement. I searched Angie's List for contractor and found Concrete Builders. Got estimate and told them to do work ASAP. Superior job. New walk will prevent leaking water into basement. Very happy with work!

John and I played a lot of phone tag at first because he works long hours as I found out when he actually did my job up until around 8:30 at night as it was getting quite dark to make sure he finished something I needed to have done for insurance purposes. John was very accommodating, and gave me a lot of good information. I had one other company that came out and said they wouldn't do any patching, but he was able to make it work and for a more reasonable price that I was quoted from another company that also said they could do patching. I would absolutely recommend Concrete Builders to anyone looking for concrete services.

I spoke with John on the phone a few weeks before he did the work. He was very professional and really took the time to understand my situation. After he drove out to the property and looked at it, he wrote up a quote that I received in the mail a few days later. Because I was going to re-attach the railing myself (after the concrete cured), he suggested I purchased metal brackets ahead of time and he would slip them on the railing while it was partially removed from the concrete. John contacted me on the day prior to the repair to see if I had the metal brackets. Unfortunately, I was out of town and didn't have them yet. So he went ahead and purchased them on his own so he could finish the project earlier than estimated. After the concrete had cured, John even offered to come back out and help me attach the railing - I don't have a hammer drill and it certainly would have taken me much longer without his help. Thanks John for all your help. The concrete (and railing) repair turned out great!

John was very knowledgeable and took considerable time explaining the process involved in repairing concrete block supports where the garage floor meets the driveway/the apron. He was punctual and professional. The estimate for the identified work, however, was too high for our budget.

We're very pleased with the work done by Concrete Builders. John was responsive and friendly, and I think he really went out of his way to fully explain the water damage problem we were having on the section of driveway that meets the garage (the apron), and how exactly he would fix it in the most effective way possible. He also accommodated our wish to put a nice curve along the edge of the porch. He and his crew did a great job during demolition and in pouring the new concrete, and cleaned up everything nice and neat. We couldn't be happier with the result, and have received many compliments from neighbors. We'll definitely use Concrete Builders again for any future projects.

Great. We used John about a month ago for another small project and within days of him finishing up that project this project popped up! We needed to get a new stub for our hand railing and usually the concrete needed to be fixed first but since the stub was right on a the concrete split we had the stub work done and then John came out and fixed the concrete. I called him on Tuesday (maybe Wed) and he fixed it on Friday. Thanks again for taking on small jobs. Really appreciate it!

This went extremely well. Their follow through was great. They were very thorough and did great clean up. They like to do a really good job. We had an issue with a corner and they came right back to fix it. I am currently using them for another job. They are very conscientious.

John was very friendly and easy to work with. He was very timely with responses and gave a competitive bid. The sidewalk was replaced very soon after accepting the bid, which was great, because it was in terrible shape. I am very pleased with my overall experience and the sidewalk looks great! I was very happy that the side walk was able to be replaced so soon, as the whole yard needs to be re-landscaped and now that the side walk is in place I can start the rest of the project.

All was done in a very timely fashion. John and his crew were very efficient and prompt. Removed existing sidewalk, and poured new sidewalk all in one day. This was done despite the fact that our son-in-law came in from out of town that same day to go to doctor here in cities. He uses a walker and John and his crew had to put boards down over their freshly poured cement to have him get over the area to get to our house. They had to do this several times throughout the day, and he did it all with a smile! We definitely recommend John and his crew to anyone needing work done!

They have done work for me before twice in the past. They are an outstanding service provider, and get straight A's! You couldn't deal with people that are more customer oriented!

Everything went great. Met John 2 weeks before the job to go over the work details and here his quote. After considering other contractors I chose to work with Concrete Builders. I appreciate John's prompt response on my bid request and his detailed explanation of the work he is going to do. We agreed on a scheduled date and John came to do his job. Everything was done in a day and he also did a little extra work by pouring some fill dirt to patch a low spot near the driveway.

Everything went well! I called on a Friday and he came out on Saturday morning to look at our problem. A gap was opening up between our stairs and the "cap" that leads into the house. The cap sits on the foundation but the stairs do not so they move and shift over time. We discussed solutions and made sure the stair cap was properly graded. We decided the only real thing to do was to fill the gap with concrete (as had been previously done and was now in need of repair) fully realizing that down-the-road it would have to be done again. We let John do the repair work on his own time as it really was a small (tiny) job and wanted him to be able to fit it in when he was doing other work in the area. About a week and half later he was able to fit it in. In the short period of time we actually have another small job that pop up! That will be later in the summer as we need to fix a wrought iron fence we have first and then have John come and pour concrete around a post. Again, MANY companies will not do repairs or small jobs. John really is your go-to-guy for this type of work. Plus, we would not hesitate to use him for our large jobs. To us it was important to find someone that will do both. Thanks John!

John was very efficient and courteous. We are trying to sell our home and needed repairs done to a front step and sidewalk ASAP. Due to the grade of the property and access, the repair was challenging. I emailed John on Friday, he called me that night. A quote was done by Saturday and the work was completed on Tuesday. The steps and sidewalk look great, and our house is ready for the Open House this weekend. Thanks!

The estimate was very reasonable. I am so pleased and they did such a wonderful job! They came out right away when I called them and they stayed in their estimate. They were finsihed in one day and I would highly recommend them.

Absolutely excellent! John was prompt, very responsive, and the concrete work was done in a completely efficient, professional way. I'd recommend his services to anybody.

I chose this company in part because they do small jobs. My email request for information was answered the same day (a Sunday). We scheduled a visit for an estimate, during this visit the owner told me he thought we had mice in the basement. So, before the work was done, I had an exterminator look at the area. He didn't find evidence inside, but a number of places outside where access would be easy. (Since then, we have had a mouse.) It took two half days to do the work, because of a need to dry some interior work. The owner and a worker did the work together. The product was excellent and they were careful and cleaned the work area up well. They had to work partly in a garden area, and covered it to limit damage to plants.

Terrific experience. Needed to get this done quickly because we are preparing to list our home. John worked me into the schedule, and between the rain storms, within a few days of my call. The work looks great and will definitely increase the curb appeal of our home. I mean, it was the actual curb that needed fixing. Great work, and would use again.
