Our 28 year old garage door basically bound up and inploded. The top portion was falling into the garage, and the bottom portion was crooked (one side it was down to the ground and the other side it was raised by about 18 inches). We called three different companies to get a quote. Twin City Garage Door Co. was the best price and most responsive. They came out the day after we called, gave an estimate, and installed the new door the next morning. Wow...very responsive, professional, and delivered what was promised. For a small fee they reinstalled our garage door opener and they took away all the old stuff. It looks wonderful and we are very happy with the results.

Mark came over promptly when I called for an estimate. He was competent and was able to work around some issues with my garage because the door was a non-standard size. His estimate was the lowest. When we hired the company, they came out within a few days,and the work was done in half a day. When there was an issue with one the safety features, they resolved it by coming out twice within a few days, and fixing the problem. I would recommend this company to others.

My garage door spring broke late on a Thursday night and I called first thing on Friday morning. Unfortunately, they were not able to get out to repair the door until the following Monday, so I spent the weekend with a non-functional garage door. I was told I would get a call first thing Monday morning to let me know what time they technician would be arriving at my house on Monday. I was surprised (and quite pleased) to get a call at 7:30 AM from the technician who told me he'd be onsite between 11AM and 1PM to fix my door. He arrived at around 11:30AM. He was very courteous and replaced the springs in a flash -- 30 minutes from arrival until he was completed. While he was there he did a safety check of the door, inspected the rollers and the track, and once the springs were replaced, he also adjusted the opener to make sure it was working optimally. I was quite pleased that he was willing to answer my questions about what he was doing. I would definitely use this company again for my future garage door needs.

Poor customer service - did not fix the problem .. we went elsewhere for service

This company installed our garage door almost 15 years ago, and it has worked perfectly, with one minor repair, ever since. This morning it was not working right, and I called the company. The woman in the service department asked for details, then told me what was probably wrong and how to fix it. It worked! Twin City Garage Door is THE BEST!

The spring broke on my garage door. I called to make an appointment and they installed a new spring and cable in less than 30 minutes. I appreciated their flexibilty in scheduling the appointment and the service technician was friendly. I will use them again.

Two days after our first visit a service tech. arrived with a new Genie screw drive garage door opener. We were very satisfied with the professionalism of both installers, and really like our new opener. It is much more quiet, a smoother operation system over our Craftsman opener that was chain driven. We would call them again if we had a garage door problem and would recommend them to friends.

I spoke with Michelle@TCGD today about a garage door that wouldn't go up. She asked me questions to try to get to the root of the problem, and she felt that it was a Screw Drive Carriage. She said they were really backed up and that this was easy to replace myself. I went and picked up the part. After getting home, it took me 10 minutes to replace the part and I had a working garage door. Thanks to Michelle & TCGD for the great service!

I called them on Thursday night and the lady I spoke with was not a repair person but knew the right questions to ask and understood the problem as I described it. She told me someone would call the next morning. They did call early the next morning and said the repairman would be here between 10 am and noon. Repairman showed up on time, quickly changed out the springs, and also gave the door a quick tune-up by lubricating and adjusting the rollers, track, etc. The door operated more smoothly and quietly after the repair. The cost I felt was reasonable for the level of service and is what I expected from what I had seen on Angie's list. It was nice to be able to make a phone call Thursday night and have the problem solved by noon the next day.

Sure enough, a technician called in the morning and said he could be over in half an hour. He was. He replaced the main spring, chain and cable and was done in about an hour. He also readjusted the tension and levelled out the door (which had become lopsided). One thing I appreciate about TCGD is that if they can repair something, they will...as opposed to trying to sell you a new system. I didn't get any other estimates but I am satisfied with their prices and their work.

They did an excellent job and the quote was exactly what they said on the phone. The installer came over promply in the morning and everything went smootly. We would definitely recommend this company to others.

Excellent overall. Cable broke causing door to wedge crooked. Looked bad, expected major damage. Called Twin City Garage door, Burnsville location. They showed up same day, and when they said they would. Guys named was Dusty. Guy was professional and the repair was done correctly.

They said an installer would be out between 10am and 2 pm. About an hour later the installer called and said he would be at my house at noon. He arrived at 11:55 and 45 minutes later after picking up the old parts and a few loose screws he was gone. I was very impressed with the prompt service.

Great. They were timely in installing soon after our garage was built. We had an issue w/ one of the wheels coming out of the track a year later, and they came out and fixed it without charge. We would use them again.

Our garage door opener had stopped working, and we called Twin City Garage Door to either fix the opener or provide a new one. We were told that the opener could be fixed, so they "changed out the gear kit" and lubricated the door with the opener. They also lubricated the door that does not have an opener, which I think is nice. We have called this company before and are very pleased with their service.

Good experience. They called back when they said they would. Showed up at the agreed-upon time. Fixed the problem and the garage door works well now. Nice person on the phone when setting up the appt, and the technician was very good, too (working on a very cold day).

I called them Monday morning and they came out first thing the next day. It all went very smoothly and was done very quickly. I could not have asked for a better service. Both the people on the phone and the technician that did the work were very responsive and professional.

The entire process was easy. I called to explain my problem and the woman on the phone diagnosed that I likely had a broken torsion spring and told me where to look to see if it was. After identfying such, I scheduled an appointment and waited a day before they could come out. The TC Garage Door person called the morning of to confirm a 2-hour window of arrival. He showed up within that and took about 30-45 minutes to replace the springs. He also let me know to use a garage door lubricant on the hinges and wheels annually to maintain them. He explained the guarantee coverage--when I asked about such. (I would have preferred that the person doing the scheduling and quoting the price explain this upfront because it's not 100% covered if it breaks within the 5 years of coverage. It wouldn't change anything, but having the information up front avoids surprises.) He also told me that the spring will likely last 6-7 years since I have a detached garage vs. one connected to the house (which gets used more frequently as a front door). Either way, springs are appparently supposed to have 13,000 cycles (an opening and closing is 2 cycles). The price is comparable to other sources of research I did on Angie's list, so it's competitive. I still think it's a little much overall, but worth paying for since it's not something that's easy to do. I would recommend them and use them again. The door works fine and is much quieter too.

The gal who answers the phone at Twin City Garage Door is really professional and easy to talk to. I called on a Tuesday and she said a technician would call me on Thursday morning between 7 & 7:30. Rob called me right at 7 and was at my house by 8. He was also very professional and I got the impression he knew what he was doing. He completed the assessment and the repair in a half hour or less. I wrote him a check while he was here, and he gave me a detailed receipt that explained the work that he had done.

They arrived on time, they did the work completely, and the door works great now. I?m happy with the price they charged me because I thought it was going to be much higher. They seemed very courteous and I?d recommend this company.

They were very responsive and professional. Great customer service. The first door that was installed had scratches and dings, but they worked with the manufacturer to find a replacement door that did not have scratches and dings. The door also needed adjusting to sit flat on the driveway. They took care of everything and made sure they did the right thing for us.

My tenants informed me that a cable had broken. When I called TC Garage Door Co. to set up an appointment for repair, they made arrangements with my tenants directly to set up a time to come to the house. I was able to pay by credit card over the phone (I live out of state) and received a receipt of the work performed within a few days by mail. I have worked with this company several times before, and I find them consistently helpful, professional and responsive.
