I was not comfortable with the referral to a guy who did heating and cooling work on the side.

Team's bid was $1000 less than the comparable bid I received from the gas company. Dennis, who came to give the estimate, is extremely knowledgeable and suggested I also consider replacing the separate gas water heater with an Amtrol indirect water heater. The Amtrol produces more hot water, lasts longer and is more energy efficient than a conventional water heater. Unfortunately, a minor problem with the work done by the electrical subcontractor caused the system to not function properly at first. Two followup calls were necessary to diagnose and fix the problem. Mike, the company owner, was VERY responsive when it came to fixing the problem, and extended my warranty by an extra year as a goodwill gesture. I'd highly recommend Team in spite of the two followup calls that were necessary. (They might want to think about working with a different electrical subcontractor, however.)

We were very disappointed with Team Mechanical. The repairman first called at 6:00 am (fortunately I was up) to schedule a visit. He seemed more interested in planning a visit at his convenience. After one cancellation, he showed up and took a quick look at our system. He had quite a few theories and promised to send an estimate, but it never arrived.

I originally chose Team Mechanical after reading the positive reports on Angie's list. Mike was prompt about coming over to do an estimate and I had a final estimate that same day. His estimate was much lower than the other guy's and I decided to use them. However, after that, the promptness and communication went down-the-drain. Work on the repairs didn't start till a week later and it took them over 3 weeks to finish the job. Their excuse was that my house was vacant and if a more urgent call came in, they had to attend to that and my house would get put on the back burner. I repeatedly asked them to call me and let me know the status of the repairs and they were horrible at calling and communicating with me. They also did not clean up afterward and left debris all over the basement and wrecked the box that I needed in order to return the utility sink that I had originally purchased to replace the one damaged. Cheaper isn't always better and better customer service pays.

Mike was very helpful and gave us a lot of information. His prices were very competitive as well. He was also very responsive with questions. The only thing I wished was different was that another company explained to us how unlikely it was that our boiler would die anytime soon, and that there wasn't an urgency to replace it.

Everything was great and our 100 year old house is finally warm enough. They showed up on time and when we had problems after they finished installing our new system, they returned as quickly as possible to fix the problem without any hesitation. They cleaned up after themselves and were very courteous.

The company overall did a good job. One of the installers wasn't very professional and was messy. We also had a problem with the electrical sub-contractor. The owner (Mike) was very easy to work with and addressed all of our concerns. The job took longer than originally planned, luckily it wasn't very cold. We are happy with how things turned out in the end.

Team arrived on time. Andy was the lead person who, along with another worker (sorry I forgot his name) did a really nice job. They put tarp over my hardwood floors and had the electrician arrive at the right time to do the electrical part of the work. Everything went like clockwork. They were professional, got along with my dogs, and did a great job cleaning up!

Dennis came out to work on our system during the recent hot spell. Took two days from when I spoke with the company to when he arrived. He quickly identified and fixed our problem (loose fitting), and did a good job of explaining to my wife what the issue was. We would use them again if we had troubles with our system.

Were very prompt and set an appointment for early in the morning so I didn't miss too much time for work. Worked fast and explained what he was doing. I was very satisfied with the quality of the work.

Mike did an excellent job of understanding my needs and recommending the proper product. He convinced me to spend a bit LESS since this was an investment property, keeping in mind my bottom line. Installation was fast, within a few days of agreeing to the work. Clean-up was pretty good. Additionally, upon finding burst and cracked plumbing pipes due to poor winterizing done before I owned the place, he patched things up enough to get all the systems up and running and hardly charged me for the trouble. These guys will be the first I call if I need work done again.

Mike came out on a Monday for an initial quote. I found this quote to be in-line with other estimates I had received. Not having any heat, Mike arranged for the installers to arrive first thing Tuesday AM. The installers were on-time, and both were very friendly, worked quickly and were very thorough. They cleaned up after themselves; the boiler room looks better than when they started! Craig, the electrical subcontractor from Harrison Electric, was very friendly. He even performed a home inspection on the electrical to point out potential problem areas. There was no pressure to fix items he found, and it was more of an informational tool. Overall, the price was fair, and service from both companies was better than I could have hoped for.

There is no need to look any further for a company to do your work, this is the one! The gas company "red-tagged" my boiler (meaning it was unsafe), and sent out a representative that same day to sell me a new boiler. I also called Team, and another company. All three recommended the same boiler, however, Team was the least expensive by far. Mike Carlson was extremely friendly, and well versed in boilers and radiators. He knew what he was talking about! The installer, Dennis, was probably the best in the business. Every aspect of working with Team was a pleasure. I am having them come back in the spring to do additional work.

THEY ARRIVED PROMPTLY AND INSTALLED THE BOILER IN LESS THAN ONE DAY. THE INSTALLERS ANSWERED ALL OUR QUESTIONS AND PROVIDED ASSISTANCE TO HELP DECIDE WHERE THE BOILER WOULD/COULD BE VENTED. TM RESPONDED QUICKLY WHEN WE SENT THEM THE FORM FROM MINNEGASCO FOR A $150 REBATE FOR CHOOSING A HIGH-EFFICIENCY MODEL. VERY GOOD TO DEAL WITH! SALES REP GAVE US HIS CELL PHONE NUMBER AND WE WERE ABLE TO CONTACT HIM WITH NO PROBLEM. MIKE CALLED TO CONFIRM THAT THE BOILER WAS WORKING WELL. THE ONLY IMPROVEMENT WAS THAT THE PLUMBERS COULD HAVE CLEANED UP BETTER AFTER THE INSTALLATION. GLASS FROM THE GLASS BLOCK THAT NEEDED TO BE REMOVED WAS LEFT ON THE BASEMENT FLOOR.

I TALKED TO ONE MIKE IN THE LATE AFTERNOON ABOUT HAVING SOMEONE LOOK AT MY BOILER TO SEE IF IT NEEDED WORK OR REPLACEMENT. HE SAID HE WOULD CALL ANOTHER MIKE WHO WOULD PROBABLY COME OUT THE NEXT MORNING ON HIS WAY TO WORK TO LOOK AT IT. THE NEXT MORNING THE FIRST MIKE CALLED AND SAID IT WOULD BE THE FOLLOWING MORNING. MIKE #2 CAME RIGHT ON TIME AND GAVE ME AN ESTIMATE FOR REPLACING THE BOILER. WHEN I ASKED HIM ABOUT DOING A TUNE-UP, HE SUGGESTED CALLING SOMEWHERE ELSE THAT WASN'T AS FAR OUT FOR APPOINTMENTS AS THEY WERE AND WOULDN'T CHARGE AS MUCH. HE ACTUALLY GAVE ME A COUPLE OF NAMES. I WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE SPEED WITH WHICH MY REQUEST WAS HANDLED AND THAT MIKE #2 WAS WILLING TO SUGGEST SOMEONE ELSE TO DO THE MAINTENANCE CHECK WHEN HE KNEW THEY WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO GET TO IT FOR SOME TIME.

THOROUGHLY PROFESSIONAL AND HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. THEY DID A GREAT JOB, WERE ACCOMMODATING, HAD THE MOST REASONABLE BID (OF THREE), AND LEFT THE BASEMENT CLEANER THAN THEY FOUND IT. I ORIGINALLY APPROACHED THEM WITH THE PROPOSAL THAT I WOULD SUPPLY THE BOILER, SOMETHING SOME OTHER COMPANIES WOULDN'T CONSIDER. THEY WERE FLEXIBLE AND WILLING TO WORK WITH ME, BUT, BECAUSE OF CONVENIENCE, COST AND WARRANTY FACTORS, THEY DID PROVIDE THE BOILER FOR THIS JOB. BEFORE THE WORK WAS STARTED, I WAS CONCERNED ABOUT ''AS NEEDED'' CLAUSES IN THE CONTRACT BECAUSE THAT SEEMED LIKE PROVIDING AN OPEN CHECKBOOK TO THEM. NONE OF THE THREE ''AS NEEDED'' ITEMS WERE NECESSARY, AND WERE NOT DONE. TEAM MECHANICAL IS KNOWLEDGEABLE, AND CONSCIENTIOUS. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

VERY HELPFUL, FRIENDLY, QUICK. SHOWED US HOW TO DISCONNECT RADIATORS AT NO COST, AND WHEN IT WAS TIME TO RE-CONNECT, WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND RESPECTFUL OF THE NEWLY FINISHED FLOORS. OFFERED MANY HELPFUL TIPS CONCERNING RADIATOR USAGE. A COUPLE OF RADIATORS HAD SOME NORMAL START-UP LEAKAGE AND THEY RESPONDED IMMEDIATELY.

THESE GUYS ARE VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE . THEY ADVISED ME HOW TO MAKE MY HEATING SYSTEM MORE EFFICIENT GIVING ME SIGNIFICANT SAVING.

I GOT AN ESTIMATE FOR A NEW BOILER. THE MAN WHO DID THE ESTIMATE ARRANGED TO MEET ME AT A TIME CONVENIENT FOR ME. HE WAS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE. THE ONLY REASON THAT I DID NOT USE THIS COMPANY IS BECAUSE THEY WERE SLIGHTLY HIGHER IN COST THAN THE COMPANY I CHOSE.

MIKE CARLSON IS EXTREMELY RESPONSIVE WITH INCREDIBLE ATTENTION TO CUSTOMER SERVICE. EVERYONE FROM THIS COMPANY WAS TERRIFIC TO WORK WITH. GOOD PEOPLE WITH ATTENTION TO DETAIL. I GOT A TOTAL OF SIX BIDS - THIS ONE WAS THE BEST VALUE BY FAR. MIKE WAS WILLING TO GO THE EXTRA MILE IN MANY WAYS -- AND THE END RESULT WAS AN EXCELLENT INSTALLATION.

THEY DID AN EXCELLENT JOB IN 1 HOUR! WHEN THE SYSTEM WAS UP RUNNING, HOWEVER, THEY HAD MISSED A WATER LEAK, (IN THREE SPOTS), DUE TO THE INCREASE IN PUMP PRESSURE AND RATE. I FIXED THE LEAKS MYSELF. TEAM MECHANICAL WAS VERY RESPONSIVE. THEY ALSO SHOWED ME WAYS TO PREVENT COLD AIR DRAFTS THAT MIGHT AFFECT THE PUMP IN THE FUTURE.
