Structure Tech Home Inspections

I am a real estate agent and have been referring Structure Tech inspectors regularly for about 10 years now. I do have preferred inspectors there. Milind is one, and he performed this inspection. He was very informative and patient as we had to work around tenants and their schedules at this rental preperty. I appreciate his low-key, calm, professional and informative manner. ST does an extremely thorough and educational inspection and I appreciate, as a company, their willingness to freely share knowledge with the public through their blog and website. They are good deal more expensive than other inspectors, but for clients who really appreciate detail and education, they seem to feel it is worth it. I really like to recommend for older homes. This inspection was even a bit more costly than usual as the property was a triplex and a sewer scope was included.

All performed as scheduled, very professionally and very thoroughly. Excellent reports with photos or videos. Actually walked the roof and provided numerous photos. Observations for improvements to meet current standards (house 40 yr old), some illustrations of those standards when it could be done by a DIYer. Separate identification of serious items that need to be addressed. After the general inspection, had a 45 minute "debrief" of general and specific results, as needed. Also a home walk-through pointing out the different system pieces (such as obscure interior shutoffs for exterior water faucets, hidden air intake under the elevated deck, among others). The level of professionalism in the inspectors and the office staff was exceptional.

I was very impressed with the attention to every minor detail that Jeff took the time to document and explain. He explained every item he was checking, whether it was in perfect condition, had cosmetic defects, or had defects that should be corrected. Jeff walked me through all the major items and provided information about periodic maintenance that those items would require. The report provided was also very detailed, with pictures of every defect regardless of how minor it was. The report also provided links to documents that provided additional periodic maintenance requirements for everything in the report. I would highly recommend Structure Tech for anyone needing a home inspection.

Structure Tech was very easy to work with, efficient, and communicated clearly and promptly. They were able to get us on their schedule immediately, which was really helpful for a very competitive housing market. George first did our Truth in Housing Inspection for the house we were selling and then we asked him to do our home inspection for the house we subsequently purchased. We found George to be very knowledgeable, honest, and personable. George was on time and professional. He made our Truth in Housing inspection and report easy to understand so we could be prepared to fix the things that would be necessary to sell our home without being held up or blindsided by a buyer's home inspection. When it came time for our own inspection, we were happy to have someone to call who we felt would be trustworthy to do a thorough job. George really took the time to go through all of his recommendations with us and answered all of our questions. I felt like he did a good job of identifying the areas that were really important to fix and then rating the urgency of other things that could be worked on. As a woman, in particular, I appreciated that he addressed my questions thoroughly while at the same time, not treating me like I was an idiot, or worse, only talking to my husband. We would highly recommend Structure Tech. Their customer service was very good and the work we did with George was exceptional.

Very thorough, and the tech was candid about both the detailed contents of the report (they found a lot of things) and that the inspection itself was also very clean. They struck the right balance of detail in the report while assuring us that the details were nothing to be concerned about in moving forward with the transaction.

House inspection went very well. I worked with Matt and he was great. Very knowledgeable and very detailed. I was very impressed with the report I received and it was sent to me in a timely manner. Report was very detailed with photos and easy to follow instructions on what needs to be addressed. Even as a first time home buyer, I felt confident during the process.

Brian Scholtes and the team at StructureTech were fantastic, thorough and extremely helpful to us for our first time with a home inspection. He spent ample time after the inspection walking us through the house, putting problem areas into context and perspective, and answering all of our questions. We paid more than we were expecting for a home inspection, but we found the cost to be well worth it for the information, professionalism and services provided. We would absolutely hire them again.

The inspection was fantastic. It was clear from the moment we arrived that the pair performing our inspection was professional, competent, and friendly. Not only did they outline what they found but they also explained why it was important and broke down their list into levels of how urgently the problems should be addressed. My understanding is their pricing is a little higher than the average but I would absolutely consider that premium to have been worth it.

Scott was very thorough in his report and giving us a walkthrough of the house. He explained every issue, how important it was to fix, and possible solutions. I would hire Structure Tech again in the future. It was the best inspection process I've had yet.

These guys were easy to work with. Just gave them a call and they handled the rest. Very comprehensive report (with photos) of their inspection. After reading the report, I had questions and I was able to call the technician who did the inspections directly on his cell phone to get some additional guidance. Really superb.

Nick was very thorough, and very good to deal with. I'm not a first time home buyer. Some of the things he reported were things that I had noticed. But he found several problems that had the potential to be dangerous or expensive. With that knowledge I was able to negotiate some of the repairs with the seller. Structure Tech is not the cheapest inspection company out there. But they are VERY thorough. The report gave us some piece of mind. In my opinion, that was well worth the cost.

The inspection was thorough and I was provided with lots of photos in the report. Since there was no insulation or drywall installed in the home as of yet, there were no defects found except for a broken window pane.

His communication prior to inspection was amazing. He was on time, he was very thorough and explained everything without stressing buyers out. Very professional but down to earth!

Nick was great to work with. I was not looking for a typical home inspection, but rather a person knowledgeable in multiple disciplines to troubleshoot why we were continuing to have issues with water and mold. Everyone else is trying to sell you something and only had expertise in one area. Nick was able to pinpoint multiple issues that were contributing to our issue and suggest specific actions we could take to remedy the issue.

Structure Tech is THE inspection company for us! We cannot recommend them more highly; we have used the same company and inspector for multiple home/property inspections. Our inspector, Bryce, was thorough, gave us helpful insights, answered our many questions, and he has always gone up on the roof for us without being asked (even in cold Minnesota Winter!). The reports are helpful years down the line, link to practical articles on care for your home, and you get a lifetime-free homeowner subscription to a software that is incredibly useful. There are less expensive inspection options out there, but you get what you pay for and Structure Tech is worth every penny.
