Structure Tech Home Inspections

I was extremely impressed with the work Dustin Wiebold did. I'm a first-time home buyer and he was very thorough, patient, and easy to work with. The report he produced was easy to read with helpful diagrams and pictures which highlighted the things he found. Will be using again.

Matthew Behrens was our inspector and he was fantastic. Very patient with our questions and his time. The report was very thorough and I wouldn't hesitate to use Structure Tech again and will always recommend them. The one small thing that wasn't clear was that we were going to be charged an additional $150 for the actual report. We paid $687 for the inspection, so it was a surprise to have an additional $150 charge. But it was still worth every penny!

The inspection was thorough and we were invited to go along as the inspector provided his feedback and insight. We didn't expect to learn everything about our possible home, we did learn a lot and, of course, we've learned even more living there. Some things that maybe could've been caught during an inspection. Jim answered our questions over the course of a morning and didn't seem to be caught off-guard by much. The report that was provided afterward was well done and fairly thorough, which you may expect for the cost.

Dustin was very thorough, taking great notes and photos which were included in his report. Overall, Dustin was fantastic to work with and I would definitely recommend him to anyone who needs a house inspection done.

It went great. They were on time, very knowledgable, friendly, and took time to answer all my questions. They were very thorough just as I was hoping. They sent a report with all the findings and pictures to show me exactly what needed to be corrected.

We were *incredibly* pleased with our experience with Structure Tech, and in particular, our inspector Milind Angolkar. Structure Tech as a whole was incredibly professional, quick to respond, and delivered on all of their promises. We would recommend the company as a whole -- we had gotten independent recommendations from both our realtor as well as some friends who live across the street from the house we had inspected. Both recommendations were spot on. The inspection itself was carried out by Milind Angolkar. From start to finish, he was exactly what we had hoped for in an inspector (and then some). He showed up on time, introduced himself and explained his normal process to us. Before embarking on that process, he made sure to ask about specific aspects of the home which we wanted given special attention. Little details like that mattered a lot to us -- he treated both us and the home as individuals. As the inspection proceeded, he was always incredibly patient both in explaining what he was looking for, how he was measuring it (we're both data geeks), and if there was anything not quite right, the severity and what we could do about it. In addition to his proactive explanations, he put up with many, many questions from us and offered each one a careful response. Along the way he even occasionally sprinkled in some tips on avoiding some of the minor issues with the home by small improvements or maintenance we could do ourselves. In short, he went above and beyond what his job required him to do. Two final details. First, we had the opportunity to see Milind interact with two contractors brought in to look at the sewer line. He was every bit as professional with them as he was with us, and helped explain/translate some of the things they were discussing. Finally, the report he prepared was thorough, well documented with annotated photos, and did not miss anything we saw or discussed during the inspection itself. All in all, we would highly recommend Milind Angolkar as an inspector, as well as Structure Tech as a whole.

Very well. Miilind was prompt, responsive and professional. He provided several photos of problem areas of my roof and recommendations of what needed attention or repair. He thought my bid was about twice what other roofers would charge. He referred me to a structural engineer to further evaluate the sloping floor/sagging arch.

Very efficient and took ample time to fully explain and show the results.

It went great. I spent 4 hours with the inspector, George , and he was very thorough. I learned a lot about the home, highs and lows. He was a little late but that was the traffic. I would recommend George a hundred times over.

Inspection went very well. Fortunately for us, there were no show-stoppers. Patrick was held up due to early morning traffic, but he had called to let us know. He patiently explained his routine prior to starting the inspection and took the time to answer questions and offer suggestions to remedy issues. His report covered everything that was inspected. The report also included links to articles explaining the rational for a related inspection or how to remedy an issue. The company also sent a text the previous day to remind us of the inspection. I would highly recommend Structure Tech and would use them again if the occasion arises.

We have hired several home inspection companies over the years and Structure Tech is by far the best. In our opinion, they should be at the top of Angie's List. The inspector they sent, Bill Oelrich, was efficient, VERY observant and helpful. He has both depth and breadth of knowledge, with a straight forward approach to identifying issues and offering solutions. Bill did a thorough check of all systems and noticed things that were not at all obvious. He recommended that our furnace be serviced, and that bathroom vent fans be serviced or repaired and a few other minor electrical items be corrected. Thanks to his inspection, our house is in good condition for the sale. There were so few issues that we elected to not have a full report prepared and thus saved some money to apply to the corrections.

We were referred to Structure Tech by our realtor who spoke highly of their service. Based on his recommendation we scheduled our inspection with the company. The online scheduling is easy and fast as we had all the info needed already available (home sale brochure). There was a followup confirmation and we were scheduled for the service with a date that was convenient. Tessa did a great job; she was prompt and in constant motion while checking over the house. She did a great job describing everything that she was doing and why it was important - I believe she left no stone unturned (giving us info that was relevant to the purchase and upkeep of the house and not nitpicking). Tessa's report about the home's health was very well written and highlighted the primary areas of concern (fortunately there were not many - it was a well kept house), which we were able to articulate to the sellers. We had the report in our inbox the evening of the inspection, which is very helpful when working through a home purchase. I would use Structure Tech again and would definitely ask for Tessa again.

Great. Matt was very thorough, and explained what he was noticing as he inspected the house. His extensive report got to us the same day and was very easy to read and complete. It will enable us to know just what we need to do and what we will ask our seller to do in order to make the house more livable.

Wayne was very thorough, found many things the last time I had an inspection would not have found. Outside to inside, every detail and in the end worth the money. I opted for the complete package, home, fireplace, sewer and radon, while expensive in the end, we are talking about a deal much larger than a small cost and helped us decide to go through with purchasing a 1925 home. Awesome!

I was impressed with the professionalism and knowledge of construction. I would not hesitate to hire again if need arises.

Matthew did my inspection and he was great. Very friendly and professional and efficient. I am a total newbie to this and he explained things to me very clearly so that I was an informed buyer. He found a significant problem and now we are getting it fixed, so I am grateful it was identified. The report was incredibly helpful, and the blog is great. I will be referring back to that probably for the next couple of years. It was worth the average $80 more for the inspection!

Antonio explained the process over the phone and then managed it exactly as he said he would.. As a follow up, he provided a excellent report so we could see exactly where we had moisture issues on our wall. He exceeded our expectations in all respects.

Our technician, Nick, provided simply outstanding service--expert inspection of every aspect of our home, outside and in, with helpful answers to all questions along the way. And there swiftly followed a thorough report (with photos!), giving us detailed points for next steps. Top notch!

Very well. The inspector, Dustin Wiebold, was professional and did a methodical and thorough inspection of the home from top to bottom. His written report and on-the-spot commentary gave me a good sense of the items to ask to be fixed by the house seller as well as an excellent list of other matters to watch for future action. He also pointed out the aspects of the house that were unique or particularly well done or well maintained. This is the second house inspection done for me by Structure Tech. Both of them have been helpful and generally educational as to building techniques, equipment and maintenance generally. The cost of the inspection was money well spent. (I did not get a radon test since the seller had a current test performed by another potential buyer for the house.)

Milind did a great job! He was very thorough and answered all my questions. He went above and beyond to make sure I knew how to run/clean certain things, i.e. air to air exchanger. His report was amazing- detailed and filled with pictures and comments. He was very pleasant to work with and didn't think I was a bother as with other inspectors we have worked with. Would recommend him to anyone buying a house and needs an inspector!
