After getting the Big deal, contacted the guy and he responded after 2 attempts. Asked for a picture of the job to be done, provided a wrong email address and lost few days on that. Did not respond to the phone calls and emailed me that he cannot do the job until Dec 2013. I cannot wait and the response from the provided was not prompt either.

Caleb was great to work with and very detailed. His estimate was accurate for time and was flexible to schedule. When I miscalculated on the amount of tile needed, I had to re-order and it took me a few more days to get it back in so we had to work around that.

Caleb had good communication and thoroughness. We were excited about doing the project with him, however delays in other projects meant that he was unable to complete our project on a timeline that fit our needs. He handled this very professionally.

I initially contacted this provider upon my purchase to schedule. They have never made it here and now tell us we have to wait an additional two months before they can even come take a look.

Flawless service. I made an inquiry via this site, and had someone in my house less than a day later to give me an estimate. The written estimate arrived via email a few hours after the visit. The work was scheduled, and despite their having other customers began quickly. All through the process the owner offered advice and support. As this is an en suite bathroom, I was concerned that the mess would spill over into our living area. Not the case. They have been very careful to keep the mess to a minimum.

It was okay. He fixed some stuff but he did that free of charge. We were happy with the deal. Nothing in particular stood out. I would use them in the future.

He was on-time, honest, affordable and skilled in his trade. Any other tile work I'd call him or recommend him to anyone.

The service was great and it met all our expectations. I would use them again. His price was right in the middle but I was happy with what he gave me and he was always on time.

I took advantage of the SolidSurface Bid Deal of $175 for 4 hours of tile installation. Caleb was very responsive to several emails and answered many questions prior to doing the work. He was very conscious of minimizing mess and taped/covered where he was able. There was lots of cutting in the bathroom, hall and closet. He installed the backer board and floor tile very quickly. Everything looks great, including the grout. He also installed small glass tile on my kitchen counter backsplash. Once again, he worked quickly, but flawlessly. After grouting, it looked great. He did both jobs in 1.5 days of work. I would use him again and would definitely recommend SolidSurface to others.

It went fine. We were very satisfied with them. They were competent and on time. It was a good experience.

We started our bath remodel project last summer and we did the general contracting work ourselves. A part of our research determined that we should be using the Schluter kerdi system for our shower as it provides the best protection for water leakage with tile. Caleb at SolidSurface is an expert in the Kerdi system and we could see early on that he had an affinity for detail and very much cared about each one of his projects. Our project was not small and included over 500 sq ft of tile in the new master bath. The shower was expanded to 9' x 4' and we wanted it completely tiled for a steam shower. With over 11 showerheads and kohler body sprays, and digital control valves, there were many intricate cuts in order to make things fit perfectly. Caleb is a master tiler, perfectionist, and well worth every dime we spent. He absolutely was the best contractor we had on the job. The tile work totally exceeded our expectations. If you want a pro who enjoys working with his clients, give Caleb a call. He is the best of the best and we have dealt with a lot of contractors over the years.

Caleb was such a pleasure to work with! He has great social skills as well and is professional and thorough in all his dealings. He is a true artisan and did a wonderful job placing the tile. He was always there on agreed time! Our kitchen floor looks beautiful; we are very happy with his work. We are looking forward to working with him on tiling the backsplash in our kitchen and a small carpentry project as well.

New slab was VERY uneven, in multiple different planes. Required much more work (and material) to level than he originally thought, but he did not charge extra. Finished result looks great. Also, he was able to rearange some other work that wasn't time sensitive to keep my project going on short notice.

It was a great experience to work with Caleb and I'm loving our new floors! We put down 18 x 18 inch travertine, which is a natural stone. Each tile is unique and beautiful and this is where Caleb's artistic flair comes in. He was sensitive to the overall effect by placing tiles the way he did and he went back to the supplier to trade certain ones so the overall look was pleasing to the eye. He also designed a cool tile inset in the shower with a glass shelf and used a more expensive glass tile for a contrast bar in the shower as well as around the bathtub. Also he works well with other contractors if they are present and above all, he is punctual and gets a great job done.
