Caleb was very responsive when we were looking for quotes to do the labor only for our tile project. He requested pictures and asked appropriate questions to get a full picture of what we were looking for. He offered suggestions as were needed. He quoted us a price/time frame and stuck to the agreement. Caleb's tile job looks fantastic. He did exactly what we asked. Caleb was timely and very professional through out the whole transaction. We have already recommended him to acquaintances and will use him again in the future for any tile projects. Thank you Caleb. We are impressed with the work you have done!

. At first, we had a little trouble connecting with him, but the work done was very professional. He was on time, cleaned up everything, and we were extremely pleased.

Pretty well. One small crack was missed in the grouting. Big picture the job went very well and all the other challenging parts were completed as discussed. This is the second time we have used them and will definitely use them again. The project looks fantastic (minus small crack but it falls in a shadow).

I had them over to give me an estimate for a couple of rooms. The cost was so much more than the other bid I received, that I did not use the service. I have no doubt they are a great company, but I was not in a position to pay so much more. I may try them again when I have a need.

It went very well. Caleb is punctual to a fault and stays with the project like a bulldog. He keeps you informed, is easy to talk to and responds to your questions with direct and honest anwers. He is reliable. I'm marking an 'A' in the 'Price' category but it seems meaningless to me. How can a price be good or bad if the contractor specifies a price and you accept? If the price is too high, then you shouldn't sign the contract, simple as that. I suppose you could give a bad mark if you accept but later on decide that it was too much but, in that case, the category should really be more like 'Customer Intelligence', and then you grade yourself.

We could not get anything scheduled, they were very busy so I decided to request a refund.

Caleb did an absolutely amazing job! He helped me determine quality tile, showed up on time, was extremely friendly, and did a fantastic job laying the tile. I couldn't have imagined it looking this great! Through our renovation project, we have had some bad luck with contractors, Luckily that was not the case with solid surface. If you are looking for a fair price and beautiful flooring, you don't need to look any further! I will definitely be using them again in the future!

Caleb worked for 11 days on this project and he was great to work with--on time, respectful to our home, hard working and kept the space as clean as possible. Caleb has a ton of experience and the investment to have a professional install was well worth the money.

Caleb was great at getting back to us right away. He provided suggestions for us to start the process and suggested places for us to go look at tile. We did select another contractor, but our communication with Caleb was great.

He had to make multiple trips -- to install, grout, etc. We hadn't ordered enough tile (lesson learned: add 10% to the order!) so he came back when the rest of the tile arrived. We are keeping his card for any future tiling needs we have.

We ended up not doing the work. We talked on the phone a few times and there were no problems. They were very accommodating, but we decided to not do the work.

I purchased a super deal to have a tile back splash installed in my kitchen. I picked out the tile and then scheduled the installation. The tile was installed in two days after waiting several months (it was special order tile). This contractor is good so he was very booked up. The installation looks great, I'm quite pleased with the quality of the work. Would use this contractor again.

Caleb came out once to give an estimate on tiling our basement. The bid was too high, so we decided to use our deal on our small entryway. When Caleb came out to do the entryway, we realized we'd have to replace the outer door, or get a carpenter to cut down the door, because otherwise the tile would be too thick (thicker than the current flooring) to open the door.

It went great. No hiccups. Very professional and courteous.

The tile job itself was well done and looks great. We had also wanted some other tile/grout repaired and that was not done well. The repair lasted less than a day. He didn't charge extra for it and afterward said he knew it probably wouldnt hold, but he didn't offer a solution when he was there. So that was disappointing.

Caleb was very easy to work with and great professionalism.

Last March we purchased an Angie's List "Big Deal" for tile installation, after reading very positive reviews of Solidsurface LLC. We had done a kitchen remodel several years ago, but had put off the finishing touches--the installation of a backsplash--although we had already purchased the tiles and supplies. Caleb Donaldson, the business owner, did not disappoint. When we contacted him by email, his response was prompt and professional. We provided additional information about the job, and he discussed scheduling, working around our needs. Although he could not do the job right away, that made perfect sense to us--after all, he runs a small business that does specialized work. We agreed that he would do the job on October 28 and 29, and he showed up when expected, and completed the project as promised. He is pleasant, smart, and hard-working. Caleb provided helpful advice regarding how to seal the tile--and how to do so in a price-effective manner. We showed him a small grout problem under the desk in our kitchen, and Caleb took care of that issue, too. We have asked Caleb to give us a bid for re-tiling our walk-in shower; in other words, we would not hesitate to have Caleb back for any tile job that we might have. He is an excellent contractor--an all-too-rare commodity these days. Our kitchen looks great with the new backsplash, and we could not be happier with his work!

I purchased a Angie's list deal for 4 hours of tile installation. I received communication from the company with in 24 hours asking for details about my project. There was some concern about the condition of my floor, I was warned in advance that it could not be guaranteed that my tile would fail in the future. I was slightly worried because no one from the company came out see the floor in advance of my install date. On the install date the installer showed up promptly, went right to work and finished in less time than was originally estimated. The floor looks great even though the surface was in pretty rough shape to start out with.

Caleb was really nice to work with but he was backed up 6-8 weeks. I was able to find a different provider to complete the work in the time frame I needed. Caleb was very pleasant and responsive over the phone.

We had sort of mixed results. The gentleman who came did a good job, but it took him quite a bit longer than he said it would and he didn't finish. He said he would be back and he never came. So my husband had to finish it himself. He never settled the bill either. So we don't know if we owe him money, because it took him twice as long to do what he did do. We had to pay him before he came. He has been really hard to get a hold of. The work he did was excellent, but he didn't finish. The other part of getting a hold of him and getting the work finished, we never accomplished that. The price was good.

I had trouble contacting Caleb in the first place as his e-mail was not provided and another company would respond--more than Caleb did whom had received my $175.00. When I did track him down, he said he would not be able to do the work until Oct. As Oct. neared I e-mailed him that I was concerned about ordering tile without amounts. I sent pictures of two views showing most of the area-tho I did not know how high he would go-tho he gave me an amount to order and said the job would cost $150.00 more. I am afraid to order the tile as who knows when he will come and how much he will need until he looks at the job. Also other tile persons I had previously spoken with have all offered to order the tile giving me their 25% discount and I would pay for the order when I picked it up. By mid-October, I have decided Caleb is no longer interested--I will hire one of the tilers I have previously spoken with. I hate to grade him as maybe his work is excellent--he just has failed his customer service skills. My thought is maybe these Angie's List specials are over extended and the vendor is unable to get the work done. Joan McMillan

I had a small job that was about 20 sq ft. the deal stated that the 4 hour time frame would cover 40 sq ft. then he asked if i would be grouting it otherwise he would have to do a two day job. it just seemed rediculous. obviously i'd assume that grouting would be part of the 4 hour necessary routine.
